GoogleSOLD! In a slow market Samantha and team did a great job of selling our house. All you can really expect from an estate agent is that they work hard and do their best and Move Now Properties do just that. Well done and thank you.

GoogleMoveNow have managed my property for 13 years. They have always provided a professional and efficient service. Whenever there have been challenging situations their experience at resolving issues has been much appreciated. Each time they offered helpful insight when there was a need to find new tenants. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to let their property hassle free.

GoogleDealing with Sam and the team at Movenowproperties was a fantastic experience from the first contact all the way through to completion of my property.
I made an enquiry overnight and was contacted promptly the following day to arrange a viewing. Sam was very knowledgeable about the property and was completely professional.
Other estate agents could learn a lot from these guys as many didn’t make any contact or if they did, it was up to a week after making an enquiry! Their loss because I had already viewed a fantastic and progressing.
The Conveyancing Team she recommended were also very efficient.
Thanks to Sam and her Team.

GoogleAbsolutely top level service from Jack at Move Now. We weren't using Move Now ourselves but the people we were buying from were. Jack the representative we were dealing with was utterly proffesional, extremely helpful, and very on the ball from day one of meeting him for a house viewing. Thereafter he did a brilliant job of keeping us updated with the process, answering questions, and gee'ing up the various parties involved in the process, whilst being very personable whilst going about it.

GoogleAvoid MoveNow! ALBION ST
Firstly the property was not great at all, damp half of the bedroom. Walls was covered in holes. I put my hands up I wasn't going to raise these issues as I was just happy securing a place. But these things should have been rectified prior to moving in! I was advised the bedroom wall would dry once I had the heating on..I moved in and noted immediately the heating was not working, I was told that it was the energy provider issue and not there's so after chasing that I was told it was a fault within the property. This was week3 (Jan/Feb2017) I've never felt cold like it! I entered the property in week5 (still having no basic facilities as a legal requirement in the tenancy) gas was pouring from the back boiler. I called northern grid and they immediately cut the line which forced them to act as they had found a leak. Even the engineer from northern grid gave me a heater as he was disgusted how they could leave me 5weeks in the cold he felt. Not only at this point all my bedroom furniture started going mouldy from the damp!.
5months later same problem. Sat the heating wouldn't spark up, M.Now not open over weekend,so called them Mon to note this and I was told they would chase it up, nothing, Tues repeat. Weds I personally walked in and all times spoke to jamie ."il chase the landlord". Thurs I left it and waited til half 4 Fri before they closed again for the weekend and said right il get someone out and retain a receipt and knock it off the rent (spoke to nikki on this occasion) who said right they would send someone out but it'll cost me £65 if it's a small issue!! Guy came and said a part had gone and it would cost them to replace it but it wouldn't be today. Well they responded by sending someone else out "Mike" who noted the issue and temp fixed it and said he'd make the landlord aware it needs replacing. This was never fixed!
Between this my first inspection I also noted to Jamie that there was a plank of wood size gap at side of bath that had been present since moving in but wasn't noticeable as they glued the linoe to the bath and only came apparent once walked on, I didn't bother chasing as Id already gave up with them.
I finally chased it, i noted this to mike as well in June a month later after the inspection when he was doing the annual gas cert) and he said that they was issues in pretty much all the flat this landlord let's with faults, leaks. bearing in mind Mike is a contractor that they used and he never faulted the actual landlord as he got rapid response if he was to contact him directly however he wasn't complimentary to the estate agents, I must express this gap was getting worse and it was at least a good 6foot drop underground if the rotted planks gave way. Mike attended this and made no mistake in letting me know how useless this estate agents was and this would be the last job he'd do for them. He had a look and said pretty much the lot needed pulling out as the beams supporting the bath was crumbling and that I should cease to use the bath as it wasn't safe. I never saw Mike again once he advised what needed doing. A different guy came and just reboarded the gap!, Then having no hot water for the last 2weeks of renting in july a month late of renewal of the gas cecert legal requirement who condemned it!
I have email correspondence of all this over the last month which I was advised to have evidence from EHO and Wakefield council. I will take this further they have the cheek to try to claim some of my deposit after making such improvements for a *free gift* that never worked as it froze or chilled the food not safe to store food in and I removed it for them.
Clearly crooks to have probably known this and charge when it wasn't on the inventory check list, wouldn't mind it was probably left from the last tenant that they charged for removal and gave it to me as a free *gift* sums it up really.
This is just a hindsight as to what you are expect if m.now are managing the property whether they want to pass the blame to the guy there managing for it not. Very professional

Hello Emma
I do apologise you are not happy with the service provided, however I can assure you that we have always acted as quickly as possibly with any issues within the property.
I would like to advise that the wall was not damp, there had been an issue externally which was slightly affecting the wall. As soon as this issue was resolved, the wall had no issues.
I apologise for the heating issue you have expressed, again, we acted as quickly as possible with obtaining quotes for the repairs to go ahead.
As soon as you reported the hole within the bathroom, we had contractors to visit. Unfortunately, “Mick” did not want to do the job, therefore we sourced alternative contractors who booked to access and completed the work.
The gas certificate towards the end of your tenancy was due to yourself not allowing access for the engineer to visit, therefore we had no alternative but to issue written notice as to when somebody would attend the property.
Unfortunately, the fridge was noted on the photographic inventory and must not be removed from the property upon vacating. You did not advise us that the appliance was not working, but I apologise if this was the case. We were certainly not aware of this.
Again, it is a shame your tenancy has ended in such a way.

GoogleMy partner and I are not happy with how Billie has handled our situation of applying for a property over the last couple of weeks, we have been emailing her and been getting no response from 4 emails now and every time we call she's not taking out calls, we were informed she was working over the weekend but didn't respond back?
She tried calling us on Friday evening, both our phones rang for less than 30 seconds instead of waiting longer she decided to email us I feel like she could have tried calling a little longer.
We are financially in a tough spot now because we have to be moved out of our property less than 1 week they've taken our deposit which my partner and I am saved up for, I have now called and been informed that the property we have paid a deposit on has been taken by another tenant, I've asked if we could have our deposit back due to our circumstances in writing, Billie didn't speak to ask but got another employee to deliver the answer which was no, in a way I guess this has helped us because we wouldn't want an agency that can't have compassion in these circumstances.
I would like this complaint taken further or I would like to speak to a complaints manager.
Responding to reply-
Thank you the response, communication is so important And if Billie had taken time out of her day to contact me or take any of my few calls like you have done this outcome of this bad review would have been different regardless I'm not happy with the service we received.

Hello Selina,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, and I’d like to provide some clarity.
After reviewing your application, we received a negative reference from your current landlord, which indicated concerns regarding the maintenance of the property and damage to the carpets. Based on this information, our landlord made the decision not to proceed with your tenancy.
We understand that you provided photographs and your inventory as requested, and we appreciate your cooperation. However, despite these efforts, the landlord remained firm in their decision.
Once we received the final instruction from the landlord, we attempted to contact you and your partner via phone. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you, and with the weekend approaching, we sent an email to ensure timely communication.
Regarding the reservation fee, as per the application agreement you signed, this is non-refundable in the case of a negative reference.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or require additional clarification. We appreciate your understanding and wish you all the best moving forward.

We attempted to rent via movenow,
They outsource their referencing to Rightmove and it was a farce from the word go. Asked to provide annual gross income, however our contracted hours and pay don’t align as we both do significant overtime. So why ask for gross pay? Resulted in us losing a property and they refused to return our £250 holding deposit.
Rightmove refused to accept payslips as proof of earnings, so how can you ask for gross earning and then not accept a payslip that shows it?
Refused to accept anything but bank statements and 12 months of them to take into account our overtime hours.
Why would we go ahead with something we couldn’t afford? We rent a property for slightly less now and passed referencing no problem. They asked for 3 payslips per person to prove an average monthly gross. Simple.
Thief’s.
Samuel · 25 September 2024
Agent replied · 23 December 2025
Hello Samuel,
Unfortunately, your referencing did not pass due to the nature of your zero-hour contract, which does not provide guaranteed income. Although we understand you are currently working full-time hours, this type of contract means hours and income could change at any time, which impacted the referencing outcome as your income is not guaranteed.
As outlined in the initial forms you signed, the reservation fee is non-refundable if the reference does not pass due to the employment check. We wish you all the best in your property search.
