Parkers were very helpful and kept us in the loop at all times. Although I was disappointed in the handover after completion. We were expected to pick up the key from the office. I think an agent being at the house and checking the house over before the vendor left would not only be more professional but would of also stopped our vendor leaving their house in the disgusting way I found it. The house had not been cleaned and not all items had been removed. Surely this is a breach of the of contract which we signed stating what items should be left?

We do aim to be able to meet purchasers with keys where possible but sadly in most cases - as completion isn't at a set time - we aren't able to due to viewings/valuations that are booked. The last thing we would want is to leave purchasers waiting to move in stuck without keys as we were on another appointment and in possession of the keys. We wish we could influence the condition a house is left for you upon move in but it is down to the sellers. Good form is to always leave the house as tidy and clean as possible, we're sorry to hear this seller didn't do this for you. It was lovely looking after you and - beyond the untidiness upon move in - we think you have bought a lovely home, we hope you settle in well and we hope to help you when you move again in the future.
