We sold our house with them in December, however it appeared that they forget we were the ones paying for their service and not the buyers. We ended up getting dragged into the drama of a personal sale. One of the owners of Roots was selling his families property to our buyers solicitor, which turned a supposedly professional situation into a personal one for the estate agent owner as they didn't want to say no to any of the solicitors demands for the fear he would pull out of the purchase of the estate agent owners family house. This meant we had to exchange contracts on our sale before we had exchanged on the purchase of our new house, putting us in a potentially dangerous situation. Additionally, our buyers threatened to pull out because Roots didn't update them on the progress of our purchase. Roots said they had been trying to contact us all day regarding the buyers threat to pull out, yet we had no emails, texts, missed calls or voicemails until 4.50pm on a Friday. This meant we had the situation hanging over us all weekend as the solicitors are closed over the weekend. After all that, they tried to overcharge us.

Having spent the last couple of months out viewing with Roots I must say their service has been fantastic. Being both a first time buyer and new to the area I have taken full advantage of both their knowledge of the area and expertise on the house buying process. A very professional service from Craig and Ashley (ably supported by Jackie). Their knowledge of the local market, estate agency business and well established relationships with the others involved in buying and selling houses means they generally know the answer to your question right away; if they don't, they know who to ask! Their understanding of the stresses and strains people are under during this process is invaluable as they do their utmost to ensure you are fully informed. Keeping you up to date and explaining the processes that have to be followed helps ease the worries every buyer must feel; and they are working for you right up to completion. I would recommend Roots without hesitation.

Craig and Ashley have been brilliant with my recent sale. I would often end up badgering Craig at all times of the day and nothing was ever too much trouble. Both of them know the area extremely well and have worked hard to become so respected. Roots is so much better than any of the large chain estate agents out there. They offer the personal touch whilst ensuring your house is listed on every available house search engine i.e. RightMove. Their business is still in it's infancy yet they've grown at a substantial rate, and that sums up how professionable, reliable and great their business is.

Horrendous experience when viewing house with Craig, a partner of Roots. He was rude, passive aggressive and clearly hated the fact that me and partner were asking genuine questions about the property. Being first time buyers we wanted to make sure we had everything covered - and this being such a massive investment, we wanted to ensure it was the right house for us. Quite frankly the worst customer service I have experienced and a spiteful individual....avoid unless you're not a first time buyer, or don't want to ask questions about a house you may want to buy.

If you are looking for an estate agency who are honest, friendly and know exactly what they are talking about then Roots are the agency for you. Ashley managed our recent sale, which he did in record time, and then was able to keep the chain together for us for a number of months whilst we found our new home. Throughout the process he was supportive, helpful and keen for us to find the right property rather than just buy something to push the chain along. Ashley and Craig are both genuinely nice guys who seem to be driven by making their clients happy rather than filling their pockets. We would recommend anyone looking to sell their home to arrange a meeting with them, they will not disappoint you.

I was well informed of all parts of the process and they even dropped the keys off on the day of the sale so I didn't have to collect them! I have recently completed on my family home via Roots. I have to say, I didn't really know what to expect when buying a home, its all new to me. One thing I didn't expect was for things to go as smoothly as they did. You hear horror stories all the time. My biggest worry was not knowing what happens next, what should I expect as a buyer etc. From start to finish, Roots were exceptional. If you are looking for a house and you are reading this, then it's your lucky day! REGISTER WITH ROOTS! Personally, I had been looking for a house for quite sometime. We found the experience to be tedious and noticed in several occasions that estate agents were lying to us. The process of buying seemed obscure & no one was keen on giving us (first time buyers) any advice. But then, we met Craig! He was crystal clear from minute one!
