We are so pleased we chose Roots Estate Agency for the sale of our house. Ashley worked his socks off to get the exchange across the line, especially when buyers earlier in the chain were holding things up. He was polite and friendly but still professional, keeping us updated with any progress as well as providing his honest advice on the steps we could take at all stages of the process. He was also super easy to contact and happy to use WhatsApp for quick messages and would quickly return our calls if a longer conversation was required. We would absolutely recommend using Roots and believe that being an independent estate agent meant they really work hard for every one of their clients.

Was very disappointed with the agents attitude to my property, spending a lot of time pointing out the negatives rather than sounding enthusiastic about trying to sell it. It's not often you get an agent telling you that you've missed the boat, the market is dying and you should wait until next year (when the stamp duty cut is stopped!!!) Just give me the overall impression of trying to get a quick sale at a knockdown price, rather than actually trying to do the best thing for me. No follow-up email/call afterwards either to check I wanted to go ahead. Just not interested at all. Other agents I see that day provided a much better experience, and even if the property doesn't sell for the asking price, I was made to feel a valued customer.

I simply cannot speak highly enough of Craig's professionalism and diligence during the sale of my grandmother's house in Thatcham. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. As this was a remote sale for myself Craig arranged and undertook almost every aspect with the utmost respect and dignity during a very difficult time. He went well beyond what might be expected of an Estate Agent dealing with multiple minor (and major!) issues which I was unable to undertake.
