GoogleViewing from Hell
The person showing us around arrived late to a house which she told us she hadn’t been to before, so a very limited knowledge of the property. No apology or explanation offered for being late.
When we viewed upstairs it became apparent that someone who lived in the property hadn’t left for our viewing (going against what we understood to be in place from Gibbins Richards’ COVID policy).
We cut the viewing short and left feeling like we’d had our time wasted, frustration with the person showing us the property and most importantly like we’d been in an unsafe situation.NegativeProfessionalism

Hi James. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and obviously i am disappointed to have only received a 1 star rating from you.
We always strive to arrive at our appointments promptly and on time although occasionally we are a few minutes late, often through circumstances beyond our control (ie. Taunton traffic!). On the rare occasion that we are late however, we should always offer an apology so i am sorry if this didn't happen and will certainly raise this with the member of staff in question.
Regarding your point about COVID safety, as a company policy, we do ask that home owners are away from the property when we attend, or at least wait in the garden for the duration of the viewing. We attended your viewing thinking the property would be vacant as we had asked so were as surprised as you to find someone at home. Every person attending the viewing should have been wearing a mask and sanitised their hands upon entry and exit so you should be perfectly safe and were still within the government guidelines for attending appointments.

GoogleDon’t go to them.. they are nice when you go to rent but horrible when you check out. They help the landlord to extract our deposit money. They catch on things like smell of food. Then why do they rent our kitchen as part of the property. I went through TDS and got my money back. Don’t agree to the what ever the amount they say at check out. Find out the details. I had literally beg back for my deposit.. vacated property on October 18th... received the amount for deduction only in November after repeated requests. Horrible experience.

I arranged a viewing and was assured by Gibbons Richards that there were no offers received on this property (as it was being sold via two estate agents) so I booked a viewing only to then find out that the property had actually sold via the other estate agents and I was not informed of this. The lack of communication from them was a concern. How can you not know that the property for sale on your website has been sold?? It’s a good job I checked and didn’t waste my time going to view the property.

Renting property with damp problems. I had to move out because of ill health caused by it. They kept my deposit. They put my rent up £150 in 4 years but never fixed the damp caused by water leaking behind cupboards. Their staff are horrible, self righteous money hungry people. Keep well way from this greedy company.

Very difficult to write a review but the experience as a whole was very poor. My first view of the property I was interested in I was shown around by someone who knew nothing about the property so any questions we initially had could not be answered.Second visit was with Tom who again had poor knowledge of the property. I explained that I would have a electrician with me to look at the property who was coming from another town and to check that the electric had credit before we arrived so it could be checked however this was not done so no electrics could be checked. When a offer was made on the property I was told by Tom that the offer was not acceptable and the seller had told him not to consider lower than x amount however this offer was later excepted Tom then stated as long as we didn't change the price later.The house when we moved in was extremely unhygienic skips had to be hired to remove possessions and rubbish from the property something gwhich I was assured had been removed by gibbins Richards a very poor experience throughout. Nicola however was wonderful so polite and helpful she is a credit to the bridgwater branch however everything else in the process of the purchase was so poor hence the rating.
