Exemplary from start to finish

From start to finish, we enjoyed an exemplary and attentive service from Nick and the team in the Taunton office. Nick, Michelle, Beth, Sally, Jennifer, Bronte, Gemma, Patrick and Rufus all played a part in delivering a professional and incredibly speedy service. They sent our property live on 9th October and we handed over keys on 19th December, just 10 weeks and that's also dealing with international sellers, causing a minimum 24hrs turn around in all communications! An absolutely outstanding service! Thanks to you all and I hope I didn't miss anyone out of my roll call?

Really glad I sold my house through GR, from the start Nick was really approachable, friendly and so positive about the house it really made you think his team would ‘sell’ it for you, which they did! Great value for money as the percentage fee was more than competitive. The ladies in the office were always friendly and nothing was ever too much for them. The sales progression was a smooth process and I was kept up to date every step of the way. A great experience all round, thank you.

Gemma Rogers to the rescue! I had spoken to Gemma a couple of times in the early contact stages when we were looking at properties and she had always listened well, understood our needs and checked-in as regularly as she could to see how things were going for us. I spoke to Gemma today (15th August) and within 4 hours not only had she caught up with our situation (after having not spoken for a while), she remembered me and our needs, helped get us an update on the situation with the property, understood the offer we had put in and the flexibility we had on this and after a short discussion helped us to make the decision to update our offer. She then called back on two more occasions to give us updates after having spoken to the vendors and in turn gave us the great news that our offer had been accepted. This allowing us to proceed with our future plans for the sale of our flat. I've been on the phone several times over the weeks in the build up to today but Gemma made us feel heard, took on board our concerns and views, fed that forward to the vendor and in turn helped us get a positive result! We couldn’t have asked for more especially in such a short time frame! Thank you

Buying and selling houses can be a stressful time for all concerned but the whole team really went above and beyond to support and make the process so much easier. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Patrick at Gibbins Richards. He pulled off what we see as a miracle, after a very long sale and buy with our buyers solicitors, he and our solicitor really couldn't of done anything more. They pulled out all the stops, nothing was too much. Patrick helped noend, keeping in contact almost everyday, pushing our buyers solicitors and the council at the last minute. Well it's taken me a while to write my review, blame it on emptying boxes and sorting out wonderful new garden! Moved in on February 3rd and been a whirlwind since! Fell in love with our home even before seeing it inside and Sally and Brontë from Taunton branch were just the best. Brontë, going above and beyond to make sure we had time to sit in the garden and make our final (right!) decision. Helped us put our house up for sale in order to buy our dream home and kept us going through the process, ups and downs - like any house move. Sally was exceptional on move day and made it all go smoothly. Now a couple of months in and every day I am so glad we made this move, it is everything and more than I hoped it would be. Moving into the Wellington area

As a buyer of the property Gibbons Richards had listed I can’t speak for the company. I only dealt really with Callum. Professionally speaking, Callum was exceptional at his job, conscientious, professional and respectful at all times. Gibbins Richards Bridgwater team gave excellent service. Paul Maxwell was very patient and supportive throughout the whole sale process. Communication was prompt and helpful. Team members were kept informed at times when main contacts were out of office. Lisa was very skilled at uploading photos onto the website and making changes as requested. Not the best experience from Bridgwater…

Not the best experience from Bridgwater branch. Very slow to give feedback after viewing, had to chase on a couple of occasions. When going in office re a message I received, nobody knew what it was about, and showed no concern either! “For Sale” board was removed from property on day after 28 day notice period given! Exit fee is extortionate, and property was removed from Rightmove site before midnight on 28th day! Not a pleasant experience at all.

My partner and I have recently purchased our first house and although we didn’t purchase through Gibbins Richards we were keen to leave a positive review due to the brilliant professionalism and friendly nature of all the staff when viewing a couple of their properties. A special shout out to Sally who was excellent and so helpful with her viewings making us feel totally at ease. We did use Alastair for our mortgage advice and mortgage application who works independently within the office and he was so great in helping us achieve our mortgage ensuring it was suited to us and our needs, highly recommend!

This estate agent has a bad reputation…

This estate agent has a bad reputation and they were not upfront with costs. We spoke to several agents in Bridgwater and the moment Gibbins came up, one literally shrieked and said they hear the same complaints all the time. Basically, they’re scamming people. Every other agent we spoke to said the same thing. It doesn’t take long for a bad reputation to spread. I’m now looking at other houses, but I wouldn’t touch anything listed with this lot.

Interested in the money they make. No customer care.

Warning stay away. We didn’t get any viewings on our bungalow, and wanted to try another agent, but they threatened us. Bill us for leaving, or put their commission up with a 2nd agent more with multi agent. Blackmailed and pressured, they totally had no care for their clients, just the money. We also was told on good authority by our mate, that knows staff there, they slag off clients all the times. All about £ signs. Word spreads and other agents in town say they hear that a lot about them and told us to read the reviews. Do not go there.
