I have to say I highly recommend Gibbins Richards. I was not a client but I did purchase through them. They are incredibly professional and outstanding at what they do. Beth Stead in particular needs a cape, a medal and a raise! My sale was protracted and just awful from start to finish. It was nothing to do with Beth yet she stepped in, dealt with everything and got a solicitor who wouldn't talk to anyone (my purchasers solicitor) to talk to her and we finally got everything over the line purely through Beth's hard work. She really does work miracles. So a massive thank you to her!! She is a real credit to Gibbins Richards.

I first put my flat on the market with another company back at the beginning of the year who very quickly let me down and it ended in terminating the contact. This then made me lose faith in estate agents. Following a recommendation, I called Gibbons and Richards and discussed my situation in which they reacted promptly. The following day I had Paul out to value the property and by the end of the day my little flat was on the market! Through the selling stage, I mainly had Sally and Jen perform viewings. The communication regarding feedback from viewings was outstanding. Fast forward 6 months, I am currently sat in my new property feeling grateful that I did chose Gibbons and Richards to sell my flat! Thanks again guys!

Gibbons Richards Bridgwater. FANTASTIC EMILY FIRMAN ARROGANT MANAGER WAYNE Bought a property through them but In my opinion branch manager Wayne is the most arrogant pig we have ever come across! My wife asked him questions where rolled his eyes back tutting away at her !! I asked him questions and he folded his arms at me shrugging his shoulders!! He Made remarks about my children and the following viewing I was asked via email if I would be attending alone !! I had communications with him that was never passed onto his sellers ! I have never met, seen or heard of the bloke until the first viewing but I can only imagine how he treats the staff if customers are treated that way! Terrible. it did change to a fantastic service Absolutely fantastic Emily Firman I refused to deal with Wayne and another fantastic person called Emily Firman took over the communication and she was absolutely fantastic, Emily Is exactly what you expect from an estate agents, positive, polite and honest 😃😃 and is certainly a huge asset to gibbons Richards and I hope the directors see that this young lady should be the manager as she displays leadership, integrity and a professional attitude In everything she did with us. In my opinion I Do not think Emily gets the recognition she deserves so I had certificate of excellence framed for her myself to hang above her desk. I wish Emily all the best in her career

Absolute joke of a company Had a private viewing on a house this morning to which we arrived in good time so we were not late, however the person who was coming from the office to show us around was 15 minutes late, only had a call from the office after she was 10 minutes late. RACHEL WILLIAM finally arrived, didnt really apologise for being late, by this time the next person to view the property had arrived for there appointment and she told them we can all go in together. She bumbled around with the keys not really having a clue what she was doing. I asked her that we have our allocated 15 minute slot privately and she told me that the more I was talking the more I was eating in to my time to view it. When I told her that I would be phoning the office regarding her manner she then disappeared leaving us to look around the house making herself unavailable had we had any questions. By this point we had had enough, even if we liked the house we wouldnt have bought it through the company it was marketed with and she then made a rude remark to the next viewer. RACHEL WILLIAM DOES NOT DESERVE A JOB IN THIS DAY AND AGE

Senior Negotiator Prepared To Break The Rules

We bought a property in Bridgwater through Gibbins Richards Estate Agent. All went well until the moving in day when we had problems with the electric garage door not working. Not only was the electrics not working, but because this had been broken for so long, the manual winder was also broken.Whilst trying to work out how we were going to unload our vans, we thought we would make a cup of tea only to learn when we turned on the mains water we had major leaks both in the kitchen and in the utility room.We understand that both of these problems would not usually be the estate agents problem however in this case it was directly linked to the estate agent.The vendor was the mother of Gibbins Richards Senior Negotiator Tom Hopkins. On the moving day Tom was at the property helping his mother move out and was probably aware of the issues with the garage door and the plumbing. I believe Tom and his mother sneaked off before I could address the issues with the garage door leaving us unable to open the door to move our belongings in. When we turned on the water at the mains it soon became apparent that they had not only left us with a garage door that couldn’t be opened, but they had also left us with water we couldn’t turn on.If Tom is happy for us to be left in this state, I wonder how he could be trusted to negotiate on your behalf. I would say from our experience that the Gibbins Richard representative has been untrustworthy. My impression is that he probably thought we would never make the link between the sale of his mothers house and him.Whilst the directors of the company advised that this was a problem that the solicitors should deal with as the non working garage door was not mentioned in the legal pack, they gave the impression that they wanted to distance themselves from the link between Tom and the sale of the house.I don’t agree and I would say the link is very strong and whilst they say Tom had nothing to do with the sale of the house, Tom certainly would have known that the garage door should have been mentioned, also Tom Hopkins was at the property on the move day and could well have been responsible for the removal of the washing machines/dishwashers leaving the water uncapped.I wonder how much Tom knows about the house market because whilst looking at the water leak it was clear that the plumbing was in an extremely poor condition and there was no water trap under the sink.It then became very apparent why the house, mainly the kitchen smelt of sewerage.A Note For TomThe UK Building Regulations require that any appliance, which discharges water to a drain, such as a wash hand basin; bath; shower; kitchen sink or WC, should be fitted with a trap. This is to prevent foul gases from the drainage system from entering the building.This is now in the hands of my solicitorI don’t know how Tom Hopkins, who was directly involved with the moving of his mother did not recognise that there were problems here that were not acceptable. Although he might not have actually overseen the selling of his mothers house, to believe he was not aware of these issues is pure fantasy especially as he was around on the day his mother moved out helping her move furniture.One other point for Tom. You are supposed to clear up all your rubbish before you leave and to say the rubbish left at the garage was left there by someone else is actually quite funny. If it is on your property it is your rubbish, another lesson learned for Tom.It’s a shame that a Senior negotiator at Gibbins Richard can either be ignorant to the rules or just happy to break them, but in either case it is not acceptable.
