GoogleAbsolute joke of a company
Had a private viewing on a house this morning to which we arrived in good time so we were not late, however the person who was coming from the office to show us around was 15 minutes late, only had a call from the office after she was 10 minutes late.
RACHEL WILLIAM finally arrived, didnt really apologise for being late, by this time the next person to view the property had arrived for there appointment and she told them we can all go in together.
She bumbled around with the keys not really having a clue what she was doing.
I asked her that we have our allocated 15 minute slot privately and she told me that the more I was talking the more I was eating in to my time to view it.
When I told her that I would be phoning the office regarding her manner she then disappeared leaving us to look around the house making herself unavailable had we had any questions.
By this point we had had enough, even if we liked the house we wouldnt have bought it through the company it was marketed with and she then made a rude remark to the next viewer.
RACHEL WILLIAM DOES NOT DESERVE A JOB IN THIS DAY AND AGE

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review.
As explained to you, my colleague was late to your appointment due to circumstances beyond her control. We had huge interest in this particular property and explained at time of booking that it would be a short visit between other appointments. This was the fairest way to ensure you got to see the property before it was sold. My colleague tried to apologize but found your manner to be very aggressive and rude - something we insist our staff are not subjected to. We wish you every success in your ongoing property search.

TrustpilotSenior Negotiator Prepared To Break The Rules
We bought a property in Bridgwater through Gibbins Richards Estate Agent. All went well until the moving in day when we had problems with the electric garage door not working. Not only was the electrics not working, but because this had been broken for so long, the manual winder was also broken.Whilst trying to work out how we were going to unload our vans, we thought we would make a cup of tea only to learn when we turned on the mains water we had major leaks both in the kitchen and in the utility room.We understand that both of these problems would not usually be the estate agents problem however in this case it was directly linked to the estate agent. The vendor was the mother of Gibbins Richards Senior Negotiator Tom Hopkins. On the moving day Tom was at the property helping his mother move out and was probably aware of the issues with the garage door and the plumbing. I believe Tom and his mother sneaked off before I could address the issues with the garage door leaving us unable to open the door to move our belongings in. When we turned on the water at the mains it soon became apparent that they had not only left us with a garage door that couldn’t be opened, but they had also left us with water we couldn’t turn on.If Tom is happy for us to be left in this state, I wonder how he could be trusted to negotiate on your behalf. I would say from our experience that the Gibbins Richard representative has been untrustworthy. My impression is that he probably thought we would never make the link between the sale of his mothers house and him.Whilst the directors of the company advised that this was a problem that the solicitors should deal with as the non working garage door was not mentioned in the legal pack, they gave the impression that they wanted to distance themselves from the link between Tom and the sale of the house.I don’t agree and I would say the link is very strong and whilst they say Tom had nothing to do with the sale of the house, Tom certainly would have known that the garage door should have been mentioned, also Tom Hopkins was at the property on the move day and could well have been responsible for the removal of the washing machines/dishwashers leaving the water uncapped.I wonder how much Tom knows about the house market because whilst looking at the water leak it was clear that the plumbing was in an extremely poor condition and there was no water trap under the sink.It then became very apparent why the house, mainly the kitchen smelt of sewerage.A Note For TomThe UK Building Regulations require that any appliance, which discharges water to a drain, such as a wash hand basin; bath; shower; kitchen sink or WC, should be fitted with a trap. This is to prevent foul gases from the drainage system from entering the building. This is now in the hands of my solicitorI don’t know how Tom Hopkins, who was directly involved with the moving of his mother did not recognise that there were problems here that were not acceptable. Although he might not have actually overseen the selling of his mothers house, to believe he was not aware of these issues is pure fantasy especially as he was around on the day his mother moved out helping her move furniture. One other point for Tom. You are supposed to clear up all your rubbish before you leave and to say the rubbish left at the garage was left there by someone else is actually quite funny. If it is on your property it is your rubbish, another lesson learned for Tom.It’s a shame that a Senior negotiator at Gibbins Richard can either be ignorant to the rules or just happy to break them, but in either case it is not acceptable.

TrustpilotProfessional and helpful.
My experience was at the Taunton office. Beth took the lead, with other team members also helping. All were very professional, friendly and helpful, taking time to really know our requirements and those of our buyers, and keeping in close contact at every stage. There were some complexities on the way, which were dealt with proactively and calmly. Overall, we had a very positive experience. Thank you.

TrustpilotTerrible Service- Just chasing Fees!
Very amateur company only interested in the fees. They came out to me for a joint sale with another agent and after signing the contract the manager didn't even take any measurements, photographs or sketch a floor plan. Instead he took the details from the other agent/historical listing. He did take one very bad photograph with a drone which wasn't necessary (I live in a cheap starter home rather than a property with a picturesque view/large amount of land etc). This is a very competitive market and there are a lot better alternatives. AVOID

GoogleJennifer won our business by being thoroughly prepared and the most professional of the agents pitching for it, and this despite her being a substitute on the day! Selling for my elderly and vulnerable mother I was very pleased with the sympathetic and flexible way the team at Gibbins Richards handled the viewings and managed the sale process. I must mention Donna for her
selling skill and technique managing viewings, Charlie who got the sale and Beth for hassling solicitors etc. It's a people business!

Googletotally avoid, i had an offer accepted a year ago and survey done and suddenly realised that the vendors are in divorce battle and thier house should never be launched from the start, and guess what? the agency knows from the begining and never shared this information with us although i've asked thousands of times if there is any trouble with house but kept assuring that everything is just fine and as soon the survey done iwill get the house. Here comes the shocking news the owner is thier friend and want to satisfy him and sell the house without his partner agreement and by let poor people like me spend thier valued money in thier dirty trials .And after all this time they want to repeat the same bloody experience with another people by launching the house again to the market and still the owners battle in the court not solved. They are liars with no heart idont know how they sleep at nightNegativeProfessionalism

Hello Mona and Amin. Thank you for your review and also your time on our telephone call yesterday. I hope our situation with this matter is now a little clearer and you understand that your complaints were mainly due to circumstances beyond our control. It is unfortunate that the transaction you were involved in became very complicated due to the sensitive circumstances of the sale but we had no reason to suspect these issues would arise when we placed the property on the market initially. For clarity, our client was not a friend of our employee and we have tried to treat all parties as fairly as possible throughout this difficult process. As explained to you yesterday, the issues now seem to be resolved and we only made further contact with you out of courtesy to see if the property was still of interest before re-launching it at the higher price (as per our clients request). Perhaps now i have given some further clarity on our position you will consider removing (or at least edit) your review? Sorry again for the stress that this has caused you and your family. I'm pleased to hear you have now completed on an alternative purchase and wish you all the very best in your new home. Ben

GoogleI engaged Gibbons Richards of Taunton in order to sell a local property and can highly recommend them, as from day one the team were very helpful, attentive, informative in every step of the property sale, which was concluded yesterday, with no problems. The sales team produced a great sales package on the property, which I think helped sale the property within 2 weeks of going on the market, so without doubt if selling a property, have a look at them to helpPositiveProfessionalism

Two weeks ago, you'd be lying until the last minute
You showed the house to a hundred people, you lied and you kept me in suspense for two weeks.
Very nice of you.
Ps. the Landlords came from the holiday
Maybe someone didn't know.
Here you can see what serious you are, you are on Friday if I'm interested I said yes, you did not bother to answer, a tip I say no longer looking for a hundred people for a house

GoogleGibbons Richards went beyond expectations in my experience with them. I am not a fan of estate agents having had some awful experiences, but Jackie, Nick and Claire at GR proved me wrong on this occasion! They were all quick to respond to my (many) calls, during a particularly complicated and long drawn out house purchase. It is so refreshing and a relief to have great customer services these days. I can thoroughly recommend the team at Wellington Gibbins Richards

FacebookTo All.
We are still not in the property to date but have exchanged contracts at long last, hopefully we should complete and take possession by the 12th of May.
This has been a very difficult transaction considering there are only two in the chain, us as a cash buyer and the vender moving onto an empty property, as I understand.
Our offer was excepted mid November 2016 but we pulled out for 3 days and went back into the contract again about a month ago as it was taking so long. Note: this was no fault of G/Richards.
As for G/R I must admit Heather and the team from the Bridgwater office have been understanding and outstanding at all times, well done to them.
Regards.
Mike West.

FacebookAt the risk of sounding repetitive (see other reviews) I cannot praise more highly Marc Richards, Connor, Linden, Mike and all the team at GR's Taunton office. We wldnt be here in our lovely new home (Bristol) if it weren't for their efficiency and diligence.
They were courteous at all times (even when I got a bit tetchy about solicitors and other agents dragging their feet!). Courteous, professional and highly efficient. They returned my nagging phone calls and kept each other up to speed, so that they all seemed to know the state of play when we rang. That was a huge relief and inspired confidence from our end.
After Brexit the person at the bottom of our chain suddenly decided that the value of the house HE was buying in Berkshire had bn more affected than others in the country ! He threatened to pull out and we had no idea if it was a bluff. He demanded a £17k reduction! Outrageous! We could all have done that! (Darn. Why didn't I think of it first ) Anyway, I cannot imagine the hours of phone calls it took, on Marc's part to get 4 below us in the chain, plus 2 above, to contribute enough to close the gap and keep the man at the bottom happy. To and fro phone calls to one agent after another, negotiating a bit here, a bit there from each buyer in the chain .... his patience must've bn stretched to its limit; meanwhile the whole chain wobbled precariously.
At laaast, thanks to Marc's persistence, most buyers had contributed - some more than others - and the chain was secure again.
When our purchasers then pulled out (for difrent reasons) a month later, I'm glad I wasn't around to witness poor Marc's blood pressure..... we were gutted too. We lost the house we wanted in Bristol.
Undaunted tho, he put our house straight back on the market THAT VERY DAY! . By now it was Autumn, not the best time to sell. Yet Gibbins Richards kept a steady flow of viewings coming and within a few weeks, we had TWO buyers!
If you're out there trying to decide on which agent, id recommend Gibbins Richards. They are a local agent, not pushy, not spivvy, just down to earth people whom we "connected" with and trusted. You need that when you're selling your house - it's your greatest financial asset - you want it in safe hands.
Thank you, thank you Marc and all the team.
