We had a situation where our buyer from Purple Bricks backed out at the last minute due to a personal situation, which left us in a very challenging situation as we had already had a bid accepted for our new home and it was going through the solicitors process already. I immediately rang Dexters in Sunbury and spoke to Fadi to ask that he do his utmost to secure a sale ASAP so we didn't break the chain to our new home. Estate agents do sometimes get a bit of a bad rep, but literally everyone over at the Sunbury Dexters that I had an interaction with was professional, very helpful, responsive and overall willing to go the extra mile to assist. There were two people in particular that I had extended interactions with, Luke and Charlotte. Luke kept me up to date with progress and what I particularly liked was he called or emailed even to say if there was no update. I am a first time buyer so there were a lot of questions thrown his way. He spoke with patience (even though he prob Amy got these questions regularly), and made everything super clear. He got in tough with the sellers often for me, to ask for things like insurance etc, he referred great solicitors who have kept the pace on also. Top guy. Charlotte was put in touch to manage and update on the chain. We spent a lot of time on the phone talking through the chain, and what elements were in play, we also talked about local authority and planning permission, and she did so with patience also.
