I have rented a property through R A Bennett, Stratford upon Avon for 2 1/2 years. Luckily I had a perfect landlord and dealt direct as the response from R A Bennett was poor to non existent. I have recently moved out of the property and still awaiting the return of my deposit. It seems this is common with R A Bennett if you read other reviews here. The landlord sent me an email thanking me for looking after his property and leaving it clean etc, he has also approved the return of the deposit in full. After numerous email to Michel Walden, which most were ignored, still no deposit returned. After contacting the office they inform me that due to an internal error this was why the deposit was not returned and needed a manager to approve, another common excuse used by R A Bennett. Simply not good enough, unprofessional and although admitting fault slow to rectify. Be warned.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Been in a rented property for over 1 year and we still cant lock all the windows. We still cant open all the windows. The tap has never worked which I am paying for. They cant be bothered once they have your money. They say the problems are not important. Surely being able to lock and secure the property is important and running water this is how they treat people with a small baby living in the property as well.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Not at all helpful, to the point of hostility and rudeness. I spoke on the telephone to a man in the estate agency office. The issue was that we had not sold our house, and they have a policy (due to the busy market after Covid lockdown) only to offer viewings to buyers who have already sold their own house. If that is their policy, so be it, but an apologetic explanation would have been much more welcome than an argumentative brush-off. I certainly would avoid this agent if I was looking to buy in Stratford-upon-Avon.

If you call early of late when home time beckons the energy and enthusiasm from this team is fantastic. They deserve 5 stars because they are exceptional and just remove any of your doubt. Always on hand for any questions, communication was a big plus as I never found getting in touch a problem and the team would regularly update with details. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! Absolute charlatans what a shambles. Really quick to take your money as a prospective customer. Awful at giving it back. After leaving our rental property absolutely pristine I've had to wait what will be 6 weeks, after multiple emails, phone calls and confirmation from my landlord on 3 separate occasions to release the deposit to us, this has still somehow evaded the personnel at RA Bennet. There only seems to be the manager that can release deposits, so I've been told I'd have to wait for her to be back in office. I've been told I and my wife have to send separate confirming email's for the account for the funds to be released too, yet when we did this and my wife replied in CC, this was not good enough. Excuse after excuse as to why this could not be done. Not even worthy of 1 star. JOKE of an estate agent.

Miss sold a rental property. Full of mould, rising damp (freshly painted to disguise, but quickly came through within a few days), disgustingly dirty (apparently it's my job to request a clean). Washing machine which I have to leave "in the same condition" which is full of animal fur, mould, the draw is vile and full of smelly yellow and black gunk which I've attempted to clean inbetween throwing up. Broken glass/mirror left open in the living room. Open wires which are a risk to safety. Weird gross patches on the carpets which we assumed would be cleaned, my job apparently. You can actually taste the mould in the house now and I'm actually worried for my health. Will be seeking legal advise, since your lovely agent has washed her hands of us now that she's got her commission. Speak soon � Edit. worst experience ever i had .Dont believe the letting negotiators word they are lying , different negotiators are telling different things , they have no policies basically they only focus on how to lute money from customer pockets, according to their mood they will charge different amounts They are charging more rent in stratford than other letting agents and giving poor service including property maintaince, if anybody occupying their property should notice and take photographs of any damage or colour change before inn,when we are moving TDS complaint they will provide manipulated invoice so be careful , They are charging more reletting fees than other letting agents not at all recommended
