I am posting this on behalf of my grandparents who recently used this firm to sell their home and they couldn’t of asked for a better service. Bridgfords Stockport really went out of their way to ensure that the sale of their home was simple and as stress free as possible. Recently used Bridgfords as an estate agent. Our agent Ryan was fantastic. He arrived with a full pack showcasing similar homes sold and how ours could look with them as well as estimations on what it would sell for and properties sold for in similar situations to ours, clearly had done his homework. Having taken them up based upon Ryan's performance I am glad we did. The service we had from them was excellent both at the start, during and post sale. The photos of our house looked great and we managed to achieve a sale over the asking price. I would also mention Sophie at the branch who helped deal with our solicitors and additional queries, she was polite, friendly and best of all very efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Ryan Dexter, and Angela Tombleson were amazing! Just bought my house and can only say how fantastic a team they are. I am certain that without the honest hard work and premier level of service we might still be searching. Always returned phone calls, ever diligent in following up throughout the transaction, made me feel like I was their only customer. If you are even considering selling your home this is your only stop before putting it on the market. Honesty and integrity in Estate Agents like Bridgfords with a staff that are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect is what you will find at this office! If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

Just received the best service from Bridgfords with a massive thanks to Ryan Dexter. Ryan has secured an offer for my parents within 4 hours!!! We have been looking for the perfect retirement home for a few months and the property we went to see today ticked all the boxes. Not only has Ryan shown the upmost professionalism during this process, he was also very patient and kept both myself and the vendors up to date in an excellent timely manner. Bridgfords are by far the best estate agents I have ever dealt with and the team made my buying experience so much better. Angela was amazing from the initial viewing to completion and managed to get information to me quicker than my solicitors! If I could do it all again I would have used Bridgfords as my mortgage advisors too, as Luke was knowledgable, professional and provided great communication. Ruari (who took the lead once we’d agreed a sale) was proactive and helpful and patient during a tricky move. He chased those who needed to be chased and the whole team Sophie and Megan especially were very kind and patient also. Very professional and transparent. I would say only to use the linked solicitors if you have nobody else that you have used before and had success with. If you have someone you’ve used and they have given you lots of personal support and got the job done - stick with your smaller firm as it will pay off. This should not reflect on the estate agents as I’m sure they have to recommend a linked business. I must stress that Bridgfords Stockport are a fantastic estate agents and after dealing with lots of estate agents over the years - they are up there as one of the best.

Avoid if you are a landlord. Terrible rental management. Everyone seems friendly and efficient before you sign rental agreement. However poor communication and late sending payment over after sign up with them. They claimed that the tenants earn 55k but turn out they earn only 35k on reference check (I am not aware of this discrepancy because the tenancy agreement was sent on the same day with reference checks and I signed ). The tenant can’t afford the house on the second month and missed out payment. No communication received until I checked my bank and called them. Lots of excuses and they end up paying bits by bits every week( it is monthly payment according to tenancy terms). Their account team took another 4 days to send payment into my account. They claimed this is due to “administrative time” and “process time” for bank transfer. Worst experience I had with estate agent( been using two others with no issues). Landlord must stay away from it.

Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.

would not recommend this company to any landlord. The fees are extremely high, with additional charges that are not always made clear from the outset. Communication is poor, and it is often very difficult to get hold of staff when you need support or answers.
