I've used this branch in order to find me tenants in the past and I was very happy with them, so when my tenant moved out, I've used them again to find ne tenants again. I would like to give a special mention to Hollie, who has been extremely helpful and professional, yet friendly all the way through this process. Also, Joel has been very helpful. We are about to exchange and complete on our sale and I really wanted to leave a review. I contacted Bridgfords in Stockport as we had bought our property through them and I was so impressed and delighted when the same team who I had dealt with initially were still there. Bridgfords Stockport, dealt with Katherine Hancock who was unbelievably unhelpful. First of all told me i couldnt cancel as i was in a 12 month contract which was untrue it was a 6 month contract.Said i had to give 2 months notice as i could only give a month from my billing date, which was wrong again.Kept advising i needed to speak to my landlord for issues they could deal with.Finally i left my flat in better condition than when i entered. Landlord wont return deposit, when asking Bridgford to help they've advises its nothing to do with them.

Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

I recently let my property using Bridgfords, Stockport. Christopher Simpson was excellent throughout the process. He was proactive and went above and beyond to ensure the property was ready for the new tenant. Other staff at the branch I have made contact with have been courteous, knowledgeable and great to deal with. I would definitely recommend this estate agency to others. Luke and Sophie were great to work with to sell my first home, they were thorough and always available for any questions we may have. The house went on the market and we had an offer in less than a day which we accepted. The sale was much slower than expected due to COVID and delays with Help to Buy but Sophie kept everyone up to date throughout the process - I couldn't have asked for more. Fabulous team, Hollie and Chris were fantastic. 2weeks from viewing the apartment I was moving in. They kept me updated all the way and Hollie was very kind with sending me all details to find the best energy supplier and links to register with water and Council tax as I was moving out from my parents so everything was new to me and had little idea of what has to be done before moving day. The team at Bridgfords Stockport and Countrywide have been a pleasure to deal with especially Hollie, Chris and Coleen. They have been extremely professional and supportive in what was a particularly stressful move for me. They have always dealt with any queries raised and come back to me if they were not able to sort straight away. I was particularly impressed with the system Tili which was very user friendly and provided extremely competitive quotes for utility services and made the whole process of the move less stressful. Very please with the service and result of selling my mother’s house via Bridgfords Swinton. Mike was knowledgeable and efficient. His sale price estimate was 20% higher than another local firm but he managed to achieve it. He also arranged to visit mum in her care home to complete the paperwork. Happy to recommend.

Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.
