TrustpilotPoor and unprofessional customer…
Poor and unprofessional customer servicesI made an appointment with Seymours Woking office today. I went to the designated property by driving. When I arrived, I called the agent, who was at the head office. I asked about the parking location since there was only private parking and no parking for the public. I was told that the agent on-site would call me to show me the way. But I did not receive any calls. I was luckily to see a gentleman standing outside a premises. I then parked my car opposite to the premises and he waved at me and welcomed me to go inside the house for a viewing. After the house viewing, I was unluckily that I was fined for the illegal parking. For a professional agent with due diligent services, I do not expect the agent is responsible for my parking penalty. But is it making any sense that the agent should tell me to park my car in the driveway of house that I was going to have a visit. This company does not train the staff to have customer oriented services. When the agent in the head office called me back, he just told me Seymours would be only responsible for the house viewing. What an attitude! I would say that the both agents are not responsible persons and do not have tailored-made services for their customers. They just want to get the jobs done. If the agent could just remind me that I should park on the driveway in front of the garage, this action would be more hearted comfortable to customers. No more second chance for this poor company.

Trustpilot"Stressfull" or "Stressless"
Natalie engaged with me in October this 2021 regarding my property purchase. From the outset her professional manner, and commitment to supporting me was obvious from the start. I qualify this statement further because when Natalie said she would do something she did, and her communication was nothing short of excellent. Natalie also helped me with some issues prior to exchange of contracts & ensured I was happy, and indeed the other interested parties, never an easy ask these days. I have nothing more than positive feedback, and Seymours are very fortunate to retain Natalie as she is a great asset to the business. Thank you Natalie for making a very stressful event as “stress-less” as possible. I can’t recommend you enough, great experience supported by your determined professionalism.RegardsSteve Weild

Seymours Burpham were helpful and supportive and the sale of the property went through smoothly. We would happily use them again. I have knocked one star off as there was an issue with the website initially displaying the wrong video (I.e. of another property) and this seemed to take a very long time to resolve.

TrustpilotThe Wolfs of Woking street
I'm talking about the Woking branch. Very bad experience. These guys are only interested in money and they were only trying to confuse our landlord to get extra "illegal fees" from us. I don't want to bore you with the details, but here are some tips if you have to deal with them:- All in written, don't trust them ever.- After a year of contract, get them to reduce the notice period to 1 or 2 months (most). They'll come all the time with "we have to check with the landlord" but at the end is all BS. This will save you a lot of trouble, as they are not going to look for replacements when they can charge you whatever they want if you leave the house earlier. They will rather leave the house empty and you will lose a lot of money.- Whatever price they tell you at the beginning, I'm sure you can reduce it by at least £100. Keep negotiating as all the prices are inflated!- They will ask you to pay more after a year of contract. Refuse it. They will "ask the landlord" and renegotiate. - If you are leaving the house and things didn't go well with them, they will try to access the house even without telling you with 24h in advance. This is illegal. Install a camera if you want proof of this.- Ask for your landlord contact details. It's a shame that we, as tenants, have to deal with these kind of companies that are completely soulless. Sometimes is unavoidable to deal with them, so I hope this helps the next tenant to do so.Not sure how these people sleep at night, knowing they are not precisely making this a better world. Money is not everything people!EDIT 09/10/2021: After reading the first reply, I contacted them with my real name (it was set as Tyson on TP). They replied and asked for more detailed feedback, which I provided. After that, I got no further answer. This review is legit, it is just not interesting for them that this info is public, but that's the point of TrustPilot! I've added a review on google with some screenshots, if anyone is interested in following the rest of the story and the truth! :)

TrustpilotAppalling management of property let through Seymours Godalming.
In my two year tenancy, the property management was so appalling I stopped reporting anything but major issues. I had to chase endlessly and never had any courtesy communication to inform me of what was happening. Now, having moved out three weeks ago, I still do not have my deposit and am told the landlord will be looking at making deductions after receiving a completely misleading checkout report which makes none of the below into account.- I reported the broken bedroom window in OCTOBER 2019. It was only repaired a year later in SEPTEMBER 2020. That meant a year, including winter with a bedroom window that did not close (the only window in the room). Despite being newly fitted, the new window does not close unless forced as reported to their property department, and it was not made good until a couple of months ago. (Broken window noted as my responsibility on check out report)- There was a reasonably serious leak through the hall skylight which destroyed the 'missing' door mat, and marked the hallway floor (noted as my responsibility) as reported to the women who checked the flat whilst I was still living there. The walls and ceiling in the hall, bathroom and bedroom had to be re-painted as a result but instead of doing a full job, they were instructed to just paint over the flaking paint which meant that only a few months later, the paint started flaking again. (noted as my responsibility) It is also the same decorators who marked the wall next to the bedroom window when they moved my cupboard back into place whilst the paint was still wet - as reported to them. (noted as my responsibility)I reported an issue with the lighting in DECEMBER 2020. It required rewiring all the lights in the bathroom and living areas which was only carried out at the end of MAY 2021, meaning I again had to spend all of winter, whilst working from home during a pandemic lockdown with ONE working lightbulb in the living area. Due to the SIX MONTH delay in carrying out the works, when the electrician finally did come he did not bring enough bulbs - hence one bulb not replaced in the bathroom. (Noted as my responsibility)When the same electrician came beforehand to carry out his electrical check, he tripped the wiring, making me lose internet connection and miss an afternoon of important calls, after which I had to plug my router directly into the socket, having a line across the hall for months. I left the router for the new tenant. The checkout report claimed this was left in poor condition and my responsibility. When I had to have the washing machine replaced that too took TWO MONTHS.The 'very loose' bathroom towel ring was already loose, and the 'removed' bedroom doorstop was never attached as can be seen in the initial inventory report. (noted as my responsibility) (Noted as my responsibility)I could go on. And I have the e-mails and the tradesmen to back me up.The only thing I will concede is that my bike bumped the wall leaving a mark as I was moving out and given Seymours had arranged professional cleaners I thought it would be dealt with. Given the appalling delays in fixing anything at the property, the total lack of communication, and my extremely tolerant stance where I did not demand rent reductions, I most certainly do not expect to have to pay for any minor issues with the flat which are a result of wear and tear. I was told the check out had to be impartial, ie only commenting on how it was at checkin vs checkout but how is a completely false representation of the facts, ignoring the events of the intervening years impartial?

TrustpilotAVOID AT ALL COSTS
Our experience with Seymours Lettings in Woking has been just horrendous from day one. : Asked maintenance team for so many things to be repaired during our tenacy but emails and calls just ignored.: Allowed people in to view the property as LL was selling even in the worst point of COVID only to discover that the sales agent had let in an entire family despite the strict rule of 2 people. No apology, no response to my email regarding this.: Do not expect your phone calls to be returned unless they want something.: I was assured by Seymours that any photos used in the sales particulars that revealed family members would be blurred. Not the case. I was horrified to see a big clear picture of my entire family in one of their pictures-a complete violation of our privacy.:After vacating I am still awaiting a response regarding our deposit despite numerous calls and emails. In short, they really do not care about their tenants at all. I asked last week if I collect an item that had been left by our movers in the garden (place is empty) Simple question but still no response. If you are renting and looking for a really stress free and positive experience, consider Churchods. Also very happy with Pilgrims in West Byfleet.

Google*NOTICE*: THIS AGENCY'S SERVICES ARE NOT ADVISED *MANAGEMENT* - STAINES BRANCH
Period of experience: December 2023 - October 2024
This review serves to document my experience as a tenant under Seymour's property management and to provide pertinent information for prospective tenants. Upon reviewing a recent positive testimonial from my former landlord regarding Seymour's services (picture attached), I feel compelled to present an alternative perspective. The landlord's reference to receiving guidance through "very choppy waters" directly pertains to a systematic eviction process that affected multiple households. The property in question, a converted house comprising three separate flats, exhibited consistent maintenance deficiencies across all units.
Despite numerous formal requests for repairs and improvements, Seymour's demonstrated a pattern of:
-Non-responsive communication.
-Selective representation favouring landlord interests.
-Dismissive handling of tenant concerns.
-Inadequate property maintenance.
When confronted with legitimate maintenance complaints, the agency opted to facilitate eviction proceedings rather than address the underlying property issues. All three households received Section 21 eviction notices in close succession. In one notable instance, a tenant was informed their flat was being sold, only to find it re-listed for rent shortly after their departure. It is particularly noteworthy that the affected tenants had no prior association with one another, yet all experienced similar difficulties. The eviction process particularly impacted vulnerable residents, including families with infants and a newborn child. The inconvenience caused extended beyond mere relocation, affecting childcare arrangements and community connections. These consequences could have been avoided through proper property maintenance and professional management practices.
Based on this experience, I must conclude that Seymour's operational model prioritises landlord relationships over tenant welfare, potentially compromising their ability to serve as an impartial property management intermediary. Their handling of maintenance issues and subsequent eviction proceedings raises significant concerns about their professional practices and ethical standards.
This review aims to provide prospective tenants with relevant information to make informed decisions regarding their housing arrangements and choice of property management services.

Agent replied · 23 January 2025
Dear Chan
Thank you both (Digvijay below) for sharing your feedback. While your experiences differ, I want to address the concerns raised and provide some context to what was undoubtedly a challenging time for everyone involved.
The landlord faced unexpected personal circumstances that significantly impacted her ability to manage the properties as she had done successfully for many years. Life can sometimes present unforeseen challenges that force difficult decisions, decisions that are neither planned nor premeditated but are necessary under the circumstances. This situation was incredibly stressful for everyone, and we deeply regret the impact it had on tenants.
When we took over management, it was clear the relationship between the landlord and tenants had deteriorated, making it essential for us to find a way forward. Our role is to manage properties fairly and professionally, balancing the needs of both landlords and tenants.
Chan, we understand that eviction notices, a result of the Landlord's need to sell, and unresolved maintenance issues created a distressing experience for you and the other tenants. While these were difficult decisions, they were driven by the landlord’s changing circumstances, which we were brought in to manage as best as possible. Your frustrations with maintenance and communication are noted, and we regret any inconvenience caused.
We genuinely empathise with how challenging these situations can be for tenants and landlords alike. While no property management process is perfect, we strive to provide fair and professional service even in complex situations like this.
Thank you for taking the time to share your perspectives. Your feedback will help us continue to improve and ensure we provide the best possible support to everyone we work with.
Kind regards

Absolutely incredible!!!After finding a house in September I called and first spoke to Yasmin. I have never spoken to someone so positive and enthusiastic. She booked an appointment and was there for the viewing. After viewing the house I explained that I have a house to sell in order to purchase. Yasmin said what became a regular word for her “no problem“. Yasmin came to the house with her colleague Luke. Both Yasmin and Luke were amazing in the advice they gave. Due to their dedication and professionalism the house was sold in 12 days and a price agreed on a purchase.Yasmin and Luke did everything to secure the house sale and purchase. Sadly complications arose but Yasmin and Luke did everything to reassure and help. I have bought and sold properties before but never has the support been so incredible. At any stage the guys were there to answer calls, emails, WhatsApp even in the evening. Thanks to Yasmin and Luke everything has worked out so well and we moved in before Xmas.
