I am truly sorry that I can not give less than zero stars to this agency. Worst experience ever. Absolutely shameful behaviour of the agent that dealt with the whole situation. This guy constantly lied to us regarding everything since day one, and took the advantage of our inexperience and the fact that this was our first house purchase. When we tried to make an offer, he claimed that another interested buyer made already an higher offer(apparently that was not true) just to push us to make an higher one. We also requested to have some furniture left in the property by the previous owner, but he said that the wife’s of the seller did not want to leave anything to us. At the beginning we accepted the deal because the house was worth it, but after dealing with this nightmare for three months we decided to drop off the offer. At that point he begged us to proceed with the purchase, and he also said that the sellers were more than happy to negotiate and dropping the price and leave furniture for free. Why this did not happened before when we asked for it? Also, the agent completely disappeared after the offer was accepted. He did not response to any of our calls by our phone number, but he was always picking up the phone when we called him by different numbers. Speaking of unprofessional manners, the second in the list, but not less important in terms of disappointment and stressful time, was the mortgage advisor. As first buyers in the UK, and in our life at all, we had a couple of common sense questions for her. She was RUDE, She seemed very annoyed by our questions, She literally showed an upset face anytime we asked questions regarding the mortgage. On top of that, she gave us the worst offer ever. We know that because we contacted few different mortgage advisors. She treated us as ignorant people, taking the advantage of the fact that English is not our first language. This lady called me once to get my bank account details, while I was extremely busy at work, and of course I told her that I was not in a good moment, but she insisted to get my card details saying that I would get charged for only a pound to get the bank survey done and I gave them to her, discovering late in the evening, that got charged almost 600 quid. The home survey supposed to be for free. Honestly, I almost passed out on top of the grill at work, because I didn’t know what that transaction was and I got a panic attack for it. Last but not least, we had an awful experience also with the selling manager. After we dropped the offer, this guy called us and we spent more than half an hour to explain the whole situation and the terrible experience that we had. When I told him that I have been charged for the bank survey (that it supposed to be free according to the agency mortgage advisor) and that we also paid almost 700 quid for an external house surveyor, he told us that we wasted our money because he knew that the problems raised by the surveyor were common, and he was more than capable to tell us that without involved a professional surveyor. We both felt treated like stupid. Rather than apologise he has been so rude with us, he told us that we had to lower a lot our expectations. Since we were not anymore keen to spend almost 400 k for this property, he tried to make us change our mind, unsuccessfully. He never apologised and he hanged up the phone impulsively and in a rude manner. As first time buyers, you expect a little bit of more humanity, especially from a branch manager. This was not the case. In its entirely, this was an awful experience that marked me and my partner for all our entire life. Future buyers, if you choose this agency be ready to deal with anxiety, have your intelligence constantly offended, be scammed and being treated like idiots. The teams in Staines don’t deserve even one star. We put an offer on a house in January the sales negotiator lie and told us that the seller already found a property , it took them 3weeks to gives a sales of memorandum. I had 3type of people in that office dealing with this property. First was someone Natalie she supposed to update us every 10days but unfortunately that not the case, then we got someone call Daniel nothing done and the 3rd person name Chris which he try his best. Atrocious customer service from the lettings team. We had one viewing with an agent (Jack). We were enthusiastic about getting the place so next morning we popped over to the office to give them all our paperwork, etc. All that was left was to sign a contract and pay them money. Jack promised to get back to us within a day. He never did. Two days later I call them and he's off sick... okay, so someone else can pick this up? I called them every day or two, every time I'd get promises of a call back within an hour, or by a certain time that same day, etc. Even once Jack was back he never called me - I kept calling him and he would always never know what was happening and just promise to get back to us. It's one thing to make vague promises about time, but they would give me very specific deadlines they set for themselves to get in touch with me, and they never did. I made it clear we wanted the place and to sign a lease, but their incompetence got in the way. This process continued for 2 WEEKS! After which we gave up and I went to another agent who actually calls back their clients when they promise to and are communicative. I think in total I got about 10 callback promises, and 0 calls. I've never had to try to give someone my money this hard before in my life. Avoid at all costs.
