Mildenhall - No communication & false hope

Abbott's Mildenhall In 16 weeks we had a total of 0 viewings. I would not recommend Abbott's estate agents in Mildenhall. The service was poor. Very bad communication and customer service. We experienced mistake after mistake with these agents with no apologies or ownership of errors. Since the very beginning we had many issues with the estate agent (Spencer Bartley). Initially we decided to go back to Abbotts for the sale of our house as we bought our house from them 3 years ago and had a good experience. However the Manager we previously dealt with retired, and the communication between them and us had noticeably changed in a bad way. Spencer (the new branch manager) told us that he prices houses to be sold quickly and efficiently. Later on we realised that he massively over priced our house to get us to sign the contract. After having no interest, I had to contact Spencer as I felt that he was not communication or guiding us in regards to reducing the price. After still not having any interest, we decided to get another estates opinion. Spencer said that we cannot go multi agency, however we later realised he did not fill out our contract properly meaning the contract was void, therefore he had to oblige. With the new estate agent we soon got some viewings and was updated regularly with sound advice/guidance. The couple of viewings that did get scheduled with Abbott's got cancelled very last minute. AND our final experience with Spencer... After cleaning our house, myself and my partner left our house for a viewing that one of the Abbotts agents arranged. I received a phone call from Spencer asking why I wasn't at my house, I told him that he should have a key as requested by Spencer at the earlier stages of this horrible service. Spencer refused to believe that I left a key at the estate agent. On arriving home, we was met by Spencer with our door keys. He struggled to apologised still not taking any ownership of being at fault. Further more, even if they thought they didn't have a key he should have confirmed that I should be at my house to let them in, however there was no communication of this at all.

A really pleasant and efficient bunch of staff. All enquiries were responded to quickly and they ensured that all parties were completely in the picture. They smoothed the tricky bits through with minimum fuss and calmness. The level of care and attention to detail were the only reason a tricky chain was able to successfully complete. My family and I love our new home and we are very grateful to the staff at Abbots for making it happen.

My sister and I have been very impressed by the service we have received from Abbotts in Wymondham. We approached them nearly two years ago for a probate valuation and although we did not actually put the property on the market until a few months ago, Lorraine stayed in touch, giving us a lot of really useful help and advice before we had even engaged Abbotts. When we finally came to selecting an Estate Agent, it was a no-brainer! The moment we engaged Abbotts, Lorraine had potential purchasers ready to view and we had offers within days. Although our first buyer eventually pulled out, this was in no way a reflection on the service offered by Abbotts. Lorraine immediately had another prospective buyer in the wings and the property is once again under offer. We really couldn't fault the service we have received from Abbotts and especially Lorraine, who has done everything she possibly could (and more besides) to make the process as fast, smooth and trouble-free as possible.

Abbotts Wymondham have been appalling! Made an offer on a property and have been strung along for 3.5 weeks until they got a better offer, resulting in us not making an offer on other properties and losing out! The manager is awful and communication is non existent! I will never make another offer on a property listed with Abbotts, even if it was my dream home! They need to learn some basic customer service!!!

Even the regional manager complete liar. Estate agents turning up on unconfirmed bookings. As a first time seller this has had a big affect on selling my house as to the time it has spent on the market. New local agents total different experience we'll run loads of viewings loads of feedback just wish i had gone with them first

I came down from Sheffield to view a house and had a separate appointment with a financial advisor. The original financial advisor passed to Ariane to deal with a 12 o'clock appointment. Chelsie the mortgage advisor has been such a huge help with buying our first property. Working tiredlessly to get us to the end goal which we eventually got too! Nothing but helpful kind and understanding that we was totally clueless of everything in the process always happy to sot and discuss anything (most things) that confused us. I bought a property through Abbotts Wymondham and they were by far the best agents of any I viewed with, very organised, responsive and helpful. They also had most of the properties I was interested in viewing in the area on their books, so I dealt with them quite a lot. I would also add that they were much more helpful, and treated me better, than the agents I sold my outgoing property with (the ones I was actually paying for!). I have been looking to purchase a house in the Wymondham area over the past few weeks and have found that many of the houses i have been interested in have been listed by Abbotts. After dealing with the team there on a few occasions it is easy to understand why!
