TrustpilotBeware of hidden charges!!!
Beware of hidden charges! At first I thought Your Move was a really good estate agent. However, I realised the goodness was only because they were holding my deposit. During the end of tenancy at the time of releasing my deposit, I was heavily charged for cleaning service. Even the landlord and the quarterly review Instructors said that the flat was kept in a clean condition. When I asked for the cleaning invoice, I was sent a basic invoice just showing the amount saying cleaning charges!. Agent Josephine did not even try to help to speak to the landlord or the cleaning company regarding the ridiculous amount. I felt very bad as even after keeping the flat clean and tidy by treating it as my own, I was charged a heavy amount. I will definitely not be using Your Move again! I trusted Your Move with my holding deposit but they clearly broke my trust. Anyways, money lost can be earned but they have definitely lost a valued customer!

TrustpilotThieves!!
Very bad service we were accepted as applicants did all of our referencing we were told by your move that we had failed we can't continue bye can't even sort it quite rude, to be honest, we had been told we failed referencing application which isn't true because let alliance said it's your move decision completely so they must have had a change of heart. And now they said they will not return my holding deposit. They no longer reply to my emails or receive my calls. Never had any problems with other estate agents like this since I have been renting, would not recommend renting through these people

TrustpilotLANDLORDS/LANDLADIES AVOID!!
Terrible communication, terrible service. Have used them to let out our property for the last 6/7 years, which was fine until our local branch shut down a couple of years ago, and since then it’s like pulling teeth trying to get information from them or get them to carry anything out on our behalf, which we pay them for. There’s been continual delays in getting tradesmen to carry out maintenance, and they only allow two quotes from tradespeople before they charge us for getting further quotes. Even tradesmen have told us they'd rather carry out work directly through us instead of the agency as Your Move take money from them too. The easiest time to communicate with them is when they’re after money. When we phone to ask something/have something carried out, nobody knows the answer/how to proceed and they pass it on to the next person, only for the information to not get passed on and nothing gets done! Useless, useless company. We've also noticed a high turnover of staff recently - obviously staff are as unhappy as the customers!!

TrustpilotBeware! They don’t care! Sadly found this company to be highly…
Sadly found this company to be highly disingenuous. No issue with my credit check no issue with my income, paid my holding deposit. Thought the room was secure. Hear nothing for over a week plan to move, suddenly called with zero explanation and told the landlord ‘just wanted to go with someone else’. Later discovered many individuals had given a holding deposit for the same property! Fair enough but be transparent about that. I have since gone with another local company and sailed through with them being open, upfront and genuinely caring towards their clientele. Also they advertised a room with All Bills Included- went and saw the property and there was a separate meter in the room where you are charged an extortionate rate for electricity! This has been a terrible experience for me as a first time renter, the worker I dealt with talked a convincing talk to get me to part with my money! Beware they just don’t care 😫

TrustpilotIncompetent and arrogant. They don't care about your privacy.
YourMove is run by a number of incompetent young brainwashed employees who do not understand the law and respond in a very arrogant way at every occasion.Lately, I found out about a worrying trend in just a few estate agencies (and this is one of them), that started with the habit of asking for private information not required by law and not useful at the beginning of the renting or buying process. They ask you to provide them with your private address, and if you are renting, they will ask you your annual salary and the exact job title. Sometimes going as far as asking you the Company for which you work. These questions are asked the minute that you call them to arrange for a viewing.Instead, this information is only needed for credit checks when signing a contract. They want to save time and harvest information about you using as an excuse that their agents need to "feel safe" when viewing the house with you. They all use the same excuse, "feel safe", so to convince you to give away your private address and other pieces of information which are private or sensitive even before your decide to do business with them. You are going to give away your information, so that their poor agents can feel safe? Yes, sure...The arrogance of these people, thinking that they can obtain from you all the information they want, will stop immediately if you stand your ground and don't give them anything that they don't require. It's not a requirement to give away your private details other than your name a contact number in order to do business with someone. If they ask you to do that, it's an abuse that must be reported.A company does not understand that storing all the addresses of all possible buyers or tenants is a major risk for their client's privacy, security of their clients and their family living at that address, is a company that I don't want to have anything to do with. I encourage everyone not to do business with Your-Move. Choose reputable and well established companies instead that won't require you to do so because they are run by experienced professionals, not by a bunch of teenagers who can only follow the internal company rules without even asking themselves the sense of those rules.Or, if you are renting, use OpenRent instead, so that you will bypass any estate agents entirely, and will deal directly with the property owner who is certainly more capable than this bunch of uneducated junk.Update following reply from Your Move:I don't want to do business with Your Move. I'm afraid, it's too late. They didn't seem to be so keen to talk to me over the phone when I raised this matter.I will add more details here below for the Company to look at.In the UK, businesses are required to comply with anti-discrimination laws and data protection regulations. Discriminating against a client based on their refusal to disclose personal information that is not necessary for providing the service could be considered unlawful.Under data protection laws, individuals have the right to control their personal data, and businesses are required to process only the data that is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 outline principles that businesses must follow when processing personal data, including the principle of data minimization. If a business insists on collecting personal information that is not necessary for providing the service and discriminates against a client for refusing to provide such information, it may be in violation of data protection laws. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK is responsible for enforcing data protection regulations and may investigate complaints related to such practices. In the UK, forcing a client to disclose personal information, such as a private address, when it is not required for the legitimate purpose of providing goods or services, may be considered a violation of data protection laws. Specifically, this could be seen as a breach of the principle of data minimization, which is a fundamental aspect of data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.Such practices could potentially lead to fines and other enforcement actions by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The GDPR allows for significant fines, with the maximum penalty being €20 million or 4% of the global annual turnover, whichever is higher. My sincere advice is to stop asking potential customers private details like private address, and only collect those if and when the initial conversation leads to a successful purchase or tenancy agreement.

TrustpilotA BIG pain to get a response - terrible communication
It's a pain to get a response (on phone or email) from the agent I am working with at Your-Move. First of all, no phone calls whatsoever to view a property, or discuss my offer on the property. The agent didn't even come back to me until I kept on pushing for the response. Delayed response on the offer doesn't help if you want to go a bit higher though.. it's not only a waste of time, but also not a great financial decision to go with them. I could've gone higher if the communication was right and in time. Anyway, after chasing the agent for a week I give up and I don't recommend anyone to use these agents to sell or let.

GoogleRosie is a superstar. I stopped by this branch a few weeks ago to enquire about a property for sale on Budbrooke Grove and it turns out it wasn’t quite within my budget. I received a call from Rosie out of the blue today to let me know that the price was going to drop and would I want to get in there first. First class service! I was recommended Your Move Murray Rodgers by a family friend and they certainly delivered - 5*

TrustpilotDeposit Dispute
It has taken almost 4 months and use of the dispute service, but i have finally got agreement that i can have my deposit back in full.I never received a check out report and there was no suggestion that the place was left dirty or in poor repair. Just a lame excuse that they couldn't get hold of the landlord so couldn't release the deposit.I am now an owner occupier but have rented on and off for 20 years and this was by far the worst experience.15/1 Update: Don't be fooled by their quick response to my review saying how sorry they are. They gave this same stock response when i posted a similar message in November. I sent my details but never heard back.

TrustpilotThieves
I disclosed that I had a CCJ when filling out the forms. I had to wait for information from my sister before I could submit them all, but in the meantime my manager at work received an email asking for a reference which I thought was strange as I had not sent it off yet. I then get a call to say they cannot go ahead with my application (IT WAS NOT FILLED OUT YET) and now I have been told I will not be receiving my £191.00 deposit back. Ok then Right Move... You just keep my money that I work hard for. It's not like you need it.

Repeated spamming emails despite numerous requests to unsubscribe via different methods.Whether Your Move is good or bad, I don't know but tactics like this just put me off and I would never trust a company with a pretend 'unsubscribe' option which they choose to ignore. Simply immoral.Resorted to blocking Your Move completely because it's the only way to stop it.Your move needs to read and heed Gov.UK...."Customers have the right to stop their information being used for direct marketing. You must make it easy to opt out - for example by sending a 'STOP' text to a short number, or using an 'unsubscribe' link."In response to Your Move...The only way to fix is to ensure an unsubscribe button means just that. I have no wish to communicate and have blocked Your Move permanently.

TrustpilotThey will spam you to death!
I have no idea what "Your Move" is, but they've apparently bought or found my email address online, as I'm receiving a huge amount of unwanted spam newsletters from them. I've unsubscribed a million times but they completely ignore it. I tried to go on their website but it says I don't have an account with them, and the only way to contact them is enter the postcode of the branch you've been dealing with - I've not had any dealings with any branch! Just stop spamming me non-stop, I'm not planning to move, and this guarantees I won't even use you! Stop buying scammy email lists!
