As a very fussy landlord, i wanted to partner my properties with someone who would take care of the property as i would. I am not a landlord that rents properties and just takes the money, i take care of the houses so i wanted an agent who also cared. I also live abroad so communication is key for me. I luckily chose D&M after meeting with Gabrielle who was great and personable. Most of my dealings have been with Chiara who has been patient and always understanding with me. I have a 12 month tenant and my mind is settled as Gabrielle has assured me of her personal attention to the inspections so i feel very comfortable. Really happy with D&M and look forward to moving my other properties to them.

So unprofessional. Middlesbrough- Teesside Lettings branch cancelled my viewings on the same day just an hour before the appointment with a lame reason of not confirming it via an email when the appointments are usually confirmed by phones. Also no necessary information about the property was given a week ago while I booked the appointments but today after them sending me appointment cancellation emails. I had cancelled my plans for today as I had 2 appointments with them. Staff has no manners to talk to a client, the way of sending emails is so casual and informal. They offered me appointment for the next day when I specifically requested for an appointment for today itself a week ago. I just told them I don’t want to go ahead with such unprofessional company. Management needs some training so do the staff in dealing with the clients.

We had a fantastic experience when using DM&co for the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new home. Ann coorindated the whole sale for the chain and i couldn’t fault her efforts. She kept in regular contact with us advising us of any issues promptly and liaising with our buyer and seller to answer queries quickly to ensure the chain kept moving. She would even just call to advise there was no update. The fantastic communication took alot of the stress out of whole process and it also meant we was able to meet the proposed move dates. The sale of our house was also very smooth and Ann had sold our home before the for sale board went up! She was so efficient in ensuring our proposed buyer had all their funds and paperwork in place it meant the sale went smoothly despite delays with our solicitor! I would certainly recommend using DM& co as an agent and i am so grateful for Ann’s support in the sale and purchase of our home.

I was very impressed with Elaine Birkley and the sales team at DM & Co. Solihull. They are extremely professional and are currently helping us to find our dream house in Knowle. In covid times where there is a mad rush to buy houses and the prices going through the roof, you need an expert who understand your requirements, having good knowledge of the local property market and is patient enough to keep supporting you through your house hunting journey. Dishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude

Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

If there was a minus it would be -5...

If there was a minus it would be -5.... throughout our tenancy of 6 years over paying by £250 per month as the property was supposed to be ‘managed’ haha 😆 we have now moved out and lo and behold are going to have to instruct solicitors to recover our deposit. They claimed we have made ‘modifications ‘ and want to recover the cost to remove (a herb garden - which we left, a shoe store in a cupboard that is useless it won’t even store a vaccum)... they left us without working toilets for 3 months at a time on 2 separate occasions and are sloooooowwww to react to any of our requests for maintenance. Where is our protection as tenants... ? We professionally cleaned the house ‘top to bottom’ and still they find fault when the property was FILTHY on our arrival (we have photographic evidence) !! We moved from Camberley to Harrogate and they made our removals men wait (in our opinion on purpose) so that we were pressured to sign all these pages of documentation on the morning we were moving in... sound good? They are liars and cheats... we played fair they DON’T... be prepared to fight on ... we will.. see you in court it’s gonna cost you..........

Don’t sell with hunters

If you are selling your property please avoid hunters, they charge an extortionate fee for buyers to provide ID when purchasing a property and use a 3rd party company to complete these checks, sadly that company are really poor and their app doesn’t work meaning the whole process of confirming who you are is near impossible despite having to do so to sell your own property.

In reaching the ultimate decision to appoint DM & Co to sell our home, we were persuaded by our initial positive encounter with the founder Dominic. However, our initial impressions and enthusiasm were more than a little dented by two particular aspects of how our transaction was handled. Firstly, the price at which we were initially advised to market our former home was approximately £90,000 over and above the price that was achieved and shortly after the initial efforts to market the property proved unsuccessful, it was suggested that we should reduce the asking price by £90,000 or thereabouts. We could not understand how the initial assessment could have so far off the final price. Secondly, having eventually agreed a price with an interested party, which the buyers then sought to renegotiate, we were not promptly advised of a key piece of information about the buyers’ funding, which we contend made a genuine difference to our stance in the negotiations. This resulted in us ultimately accepting a price £9,000 less than that originally agreed. We ultimately gained the impression that DM & Co’s actions were arguably more focussed on gaining the instruction and thereafter securing the sale and thus the commission due as opposed to enabling us to negotiate the best deal we could have achieved. This was very disappointing after the initially positive start to the relationship.

Great experience renting a home from DM&Co (Shirley). The process was quick and easy and we moved into our new home within a week or so. Everyone we spoke to was really helpful and replied almost instantly to any queries we had. Evie showed us around the property and was really helpful, and then equally when Chiara took over to deal with the paperwork etc she too was very helpful. Would definitely recommend DM&Co, the process was seamless.

Condescending, rude and just arrogant

Well what can I say, house came on the market Friday, sent a email requesting a virtual viewing Friday evening, as we are relocating from overseas. I then get a email from Charlotte on Saturday morning saying we are fully booked…. I reply saying how can you be fully booked for a virtual viewing? …. Surely you are there showing people around so how hard would it have been to have WhatsApp me for 5 mins to walk around the house between viewings. What response did I get … nothing not even an acknowledgment! Totally ghosted. This just shows the contempt these guys hold for potential tenants. Funny as I lived in York over 10yrs ago and hunters were the agent to avoid, seems to me nothing has changed Avoid these clowns at all costs and if you have the misfortune to have to deal with Charlotte well good luck.

From misleading information to outright lies, it became clear that your team was not transparent or trustworthy from the start. Unfortunately, after the deal was finalized, your true nature became even more evident. Absolutely the worst estate agents

Absolutely the worst estate agents , I booked a flat viewing at 4:45pm on Friday evening , I was left a voice message in the morning asking if I couldn’t attend please let them know, I was attending so not necessary, I drove for 50 mins in rush hour traffic and got to the property about 4:47 pm 2 mins late, on the travel over I phoned up the company 4 times leaving messages saying I will be slightly late no answer, when I go to the property the agent wasn’t there , no phone call to my mobile at any point, I knocked on the door and the owners were there very surprised to see me 🤔🤔 I said hi I have a viewing which they replied oh we didn’t know and there has been no agent there today waiting for me, it was very awkward looking around and then I left, the whole situation was a joke how DARE YOU treat potential renters/buyers that way not even turning up and even letting the owners know, waste of my travel time and petrol money , email the agents and they replied back there was someone there but because u was 2 min late they left as there to busy to wait, CROCK of S**t no one was there confirmed bye the owners, I really hope your company goes bust and u all lose your jobs , I should of look at the reviews on here before contacting your agency as there shocking and the worst Iv ever see. For a company Shameful Sharon mcevoy rude lady stay clear

Avoid at all costs. The worst of the worst!

Couldn't have come across worse agents. Took two months to get the house on the market because of continuous delays with contracts, photos and communications. Extremely unresponsive overall, would sometimes have to call for weeks to get an answer or an update. The agents come to house viewings without knowing anything about the house and they lie more than any service provider I've ever dealt with. The absolute bottom of the barrel of estate agents. Avoid at all costs!

8yo living in freezing apartment for over a week

The flat has no heating and the boiler is not working, while the agent claimed that they are working fine during the viewing. The engineer said it takes 3-5 working days to get the parts to fix the boiler, my 8yo has to live in freezing cold apartment for more than a week. The agents just sent us 2 portable heaters and said we have to bear with it.

I had Terrible Experience, Avoid at All Costs

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. I paid a deposit for a flat, expecting everything to go ahead as agreed. Not only did they fail to give me the flat, but they also refused to return my deposit. Completely unprofessional and dishonest behaviour. I would strongly advise others to stay away, this is not how business should be done.

Would even put this into minus stars if I could. The most awful company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very good in getting you in at first however soon as they have their commission from you they don’t care about you. To start we had to push back as we had agreed a move in date paid for moving van. Kye who was our wonderful (not) estate agent thought it was acceptable to give us a call at 16:00 the day before to say we can’t move in this date. Extractor fan was broke in the property was promised this will be fixed at the start of our tenancy. They decided to send someone to fix this in our last 2 weeks of our agreement. The state of the flat when we moved in was beyond a joke grime on the kitchen top bathroom smelt disgusting was dirty. Carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the flat had been built. Marks all over the walls and blinds. We’re not trying to be overcharged for a cleaning service when the flat was left in 10 times better condition it was left in. Horrible company who don’t care about you after they have their commission. Also abysmal customer service constantly have to chase them for things
