View AgentsA frustrating renting experience despite Theresa's kindness
Our experience of renting property was frustrating.
Our moving in date was delayed from Wednesday to Friday and from Friday 3pm to 4pm, and it took us 8 days in total... We agreed to make the rental payment and sign the tenancy agreement on Friday afternoon. But, on Thursday evening, we were called by the agent and asked to make the payment. When we went to their office to make the payment, we found out that the hurry was because the transfer of the money took time and it might be delayed to Monday because of the weekend break....
We were delivered the keys to move in after making the 6-month rental payment and signing the contract; they sent us wishing a smooth process of moving in but when we went there the flat was not ready: The floor and carpet cleaning wasn't done because the walls and the doors weren't dry yet, the bed and the wardrobe were uninstalled (packed in the middle of the living room), and the smell of the painting was so strong that it wasn't healthy and even possible to stay in there. We finally moved in the next day, one day after the commencement day of the tenancy agreement, which was actually against the terms of the agreement... Having already waited for 8 days to move in after paying the deposit and the fees, we also couldn't understand why the painting was done one day before our move in date. We have been exposed to smelling chemicals since we moved in....
The mailbox key was absent in the keys delivered to us, and after making several phone calls, were were delivered the key after 5 days but we had to go to their office ourselves to receive it.
Theresa kindly helped us solve our problems regarding the delays, and gave us the guidelines about moving in and info about the facility suppliers, etc.

Firstly we apologise for the delay with your move in, and completely understand your frustration.
Unfortunatley the paintwork took a long time to dry, and we had to work around this with the clean.
I do apologise about the mailbox key. This had been separated from the tenants' keys which we passed to you, and was was an oversight on our part.
Regarding the payment, We were concerned that funds would not be showing in our account as cleared before the move in day, in case there were any delays, which is why we always request full payment before the move in date from every tenant.
The furniture was still wrapped in order to protect it from the painting.
We sincerely apologise for the problems that you have experienced at the beginning of this tenancy.
We trust that everything is now in order and the electrician has attended today. I will follow up with the landlord about the shower.

Russell was extremely responsive when we contacted him about a flat he was letting. He was very brief and concise and responded quickly every single time by text, but also very detailed when needed to convey important information or answer our questions, with detailed emails laying everything out, which made us feel very assured that everything would be taken care of.. His demeanor is also awesome - so friendly and fun, but also down to business. Theresa was very warm and helped ensure our move-in went smoothly with last-minute fixes on the lights that she had taken care of the very next day. Claudia has been amazing with fantastic communication about ongoing repairs. I have just concluded a two year tenancy through Outlet and I can honestly say they have been a pleasure to deal with. And when does anyone ever say that about a letting agency?! My approval as a tenant was dealt with by Russell who was unfailing helpful, friendly and prompt in his communication. He helped me navigate all of the boring paperwork and other things that normally make moving in to somewhere a chore. Once I was in, Theresa acted as my point of contact and again was brilliant. I had spent quite a while composing the text for my Ad and uploading the best pictures to make my room look good. I was surprised when I clicked the activated button as I really expected to be taken to a payment screen. I still can't believe that this service if free. I thought that something was wrong so I called the office and let a message. Within 1 hour Ralph Jacobawitz had called me, he confirmed that my Ad was live on the system. H said that he would study it in more depth and that he would send me an email if he thought that there were any changes required. I did get the e-mail and I followed his suggestions to improve my Ad. Very helpful indeed, great customer service.

We have let property through Outlet for over 8 years and have found their service and prices to be second to none - and better than a couple of agents we use outside London.
I was a little dismayed to find that Gary - whom I had dealt with exclusively had left - but have been very well taken care of by Cristian and Theresa.
Our long term tenant moved out at the end of November and we knew it was not a good time of year for re-letting. Cristian kept me up to date by mail and phone calls (often out of hours when he had shown people round). He gave sensible and candid feedback and you could hear his enthusiasm for not just letting the property but to the right people. When a deposit failed to arrive he just advised - forget them - we will find better tenants; and he did.
Cristian has a great demeanour for front of house and is more than ably backed by Theresa who has made replacing some furniture and managing some repairs an easy process.
All in all happy to recommend Outlook but more importantly, the people who make Outlook - Christian is a great ambassador.

I turned my flat in Clapham into a buy-to-let this summer and needed an agent that would guide me through the entire process from the evaluation to the management of the property.
Josh listened to my ideas and needs and gave me invaluable advise on turning the flat which was my home for 4 years into an investment. From the right rental price to the furnishing and repairs I had many questions and I was able to trust Joshua who was well informed.
His team at Outlet have been polite, quick to respond and simply very easy to work with throughout the process. The team always was on time for appointments and gave timely feedback on viewings. Outlet generated a lot of interest in the property which allowed me to choose a tenant who is vetted and who I feel comfortable with. The coordination of moving dates and the discussions about furniture was managed by Outlet and went without problems and confusion.
I've now been letting the flat for two months and Joshua's team at Outlet has always kept me informed and was available when I needed them for the advise a new landlord needs at the beginning of the process.
I can only recommend Joshua and Outlet cannot think of any way to improve the friendly service I have received!

I was in a difficult situation and needed to move into the flat I'm renting asap.
It was Michelle Jones that first showed me the property, and she was in touch the very next day and put me in touch with Theresa Parkes.
Michelle explained the urgency of the situation to Theresa, who then did everything in her power to get all the references, paperwork etc. completed.
To my genuine surprise and relief, everything was done in less than a week and I was able to move in.
I'm extremely grateful to both of them. I've rented for many years in London and have always found agencies & agents to be very slow, unresponsive and disregarding of people's personal situations.

I don’t often write reviews (except when I get either really good or really bad service). With Outlet, I have just got really good service again so I thought I would share. Outlet have managed my property now for about 8 years and it has totally taken the hassle out of being a landlord. Their management rates have been consistently competitive and I just don’t have to worry about my property any more, instead I can just enjoy the fact that it is going up in value. I do not want the stress of having to deal with tenants, I just need to know that everything has been done and that everyone is happy (which they are). My tenants generally always stay a long time because the property is looked after and their needs are met. This is great for me. Because they have little staff turnover, I get to deal with people like Gary and Fernando who know me and know the property, which really saves time when things need doing.
Furthermore, Josh introduced me to their financial advisor who has literally saved me a couple of thousand pounds a month with some excellent remortgage and debt consolidation advice. I couldn’t be happier – thanks Outlet.
