We completed on a purchase of a house last week and Rolfe East were the agents that the seller used. From the initial stages of viewing the house with Sophie where she was very helpful and honest which we liked compared to other agents we have spoken with, to then the whole process until completion where Natalie and Megan were always happy to help and communicated well throughout. We would definitely recommend Rolfe East as a company from our experience of being the purchaser and we would certainly look at using them if/when we sell the property on. Thanks a lot! :)

We sold with Rolfe East in the madness era of stamp duty relief. It took 10 months, three buyers and patience on all sides. When we first enquired about selling, Laurence came armed with plenty of background work on valuation, costs were reasonable and terms were convenient on all sides. Photos were excellent and plenty of them and floor plans had all the measurements (which some still do not do??). During viewings and the selling, Sophie kept us well informed with many out of hours phone calls and maintained communication to the end...which did drag on more than expected. Meagan in the office kept everyone together. The office certainly was a good team with good team spirit, which we felt part of - thank you. Rolfe East are by far the best estate agents I have experienced. For one thing they always returned our calls or responded to emails within a few hours if they were not in the office to take our call. They liaised with our buyer, buyers chain and always kept us informed of how the sale was going. In particular Sophie (our agent) was so helpful, patient and hard working, often ringing us evenings and weekends to update us , daily at some points. They were super efficient when responding to viewing requests and really flexible in organising viewings to suit our schedule. What was most impressive was that, having spoken to Lily in the Sherborne office about viewings, we chatted about the house my husband & I were looking for. Not long after I got an email from Lily with links to properties that she felt matched our requirements. This was a personal email, not an auto-generated match, and the properties were spot on! Rolfe East have recently sold the Sherborne property which belonged to my mother, following her death at the end of last year. The sale has taken a long time, owing to lengthy delays due to the indecisions of one buyer, who let us down in the end. A new buyer was found quickly, and the sale has now completed. The process has been an emotional ride for obvious reasons. All the staff at Rolfe East have been very understanding and supportive throughout. Natalie in particular has been only too happy to answer emails and help chase up proceedings where necessary. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for anyone needing to sell a property in the area.

Without the above and beyond effort of Sophie at Rolfe East Sherborne my move to the area would not have happened. The sale of the property I was moving from (through a different agent in another area) suffered repeated delays which strained and jeopardised the chain. We invited 3 local estate agents round to quote but Laurence was the only one who had a vision and for the house, knowing who it would appeal to and how to make the property stand out from others on the market. We were also won over by the 360 degree online viewing facility, which was especially important being in and out of lockdown. We purchased our property through Rolfe East (Sherborne) recently. They were quick and efficient when we booked a viewing and Katie was very friendly and came back to us quickly with replies to questions and the response to our offer. Unfortunately, we experienced quite a delay between our offer being accepted and the conclusion. Although this was not the fault of Rolfe East, we did feel that the company could have been a little more transparent on the reasons for delays - we were getting very different messages from the sellers' solicitors (although it could have been that the sellers were not being entirely honest). I can't say it was a smooth and stress-free journey and the timing, once things did progress, could definitely have been better for us. However, the team at Rolfe East were always polite and friendly and worked well with our Conveyancer to smooth the way to a very satisfactory conclusion to it all when we collected the keys to our wonderful new home!
