A great first year. I have lived…

I have lived at the Prince's Place site for just over a year and am very happy on this development and in my new home. The house is well-built and I've had no major problems. Minor snags have been dealt with quickIy and efficiently. I've found all the sales staff extremely helpful on every occasion I've needed to get information or advice. The builders are always polite and cheerful as they pass by the house and I haven't experienced any excessive noise from on-going building works. I would thoroughly recommend a William Davis home to any new house buyer.

Prince’s Place, Radcliffe-on-Trent

We purchased our new home at Prince’s Place just over 2 years ago. We are very happy with the house and love the location. Radcliffe-on-Trent has lots of amenities in the village, a good bus service and local walks.From the start of the process the service we had from Marie in the sales office was excellent. Her knowledge and experience really helped. Nothing was too much trouble. We went into lockdown shortly after reserving our plot which meant our completion date was delayed but we were kept informed of progress on a regular basis. The houses are well designed and built with high quality fixtures and fittings. We had a few minor problems/snags but everything was dealt with quickly to our satisfaction. One of the best things about the development is the site plan. The houses are spaced out so you are not on top of your neighbour with wide roads and green spaces. We would definitely recommend buying a William Davis home!

Very Happy in Our New Home

We are delighted with our William Davis home on Wellington Place. This is the first brand new house we have purchased and we'd heard so many horror stories about their experiences with other builders so we were a little reticent of buying brand new. The customer service has been second to none. Snagging problems (nothing serious!) have been dealt with quickly and efficiently by the lovely employees that have been with the firm for 20+ years (that's got to be saying something about the company!). We would thoroughly recommend them.

I couldn’t recommend William Davis…

I couldn’t recommend William Davis enough! We are first time buyers and although we knew nothing and felt very daunted going into the buying process we were made to feel at instant ease with them. Marie Clitheroe helped us step by step and no ask was too big! She is warm and friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable and efficient! She was very quick to respond to any questions and kept us updated and informed the whole way through. The house was ready exactly when they initially told us which is unheard of for new builds! The house itself was beyond our expectations and we couldn’t find one fault! The attention to detail is fantastic and it is very clear to see why the company are rated so highly! Overall couldn’t be happier!

Excellent experience buying our new…

Excellent experience buying our new build home with William Davis. From reservation, to choices, completion and post- purchase, all staff we have met with have been great. Our sales agent was Marie (Prince’s Place) who was fantastic in explaining the process to us. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy another William Davis home again as the quality is excellent and there are a lot of things included such as turf, flooring and window coverings which other builders don’t offer which make the moving process much easier.We have had a few issues with the house which have been raised at our 6-month snag check list. These are currently being sorted and Vicky’s (customer service) communication to resolve these has been great.

Wellington place Market Harborough From the moment we moved in 2 years ago the whole team have been fantastic. Customer services are very friendly and make sure all is in order when we first moved in and having the site manager around he was always around if you needed anything fixed urgently. My husband and I have just moved into our new home and this would not have been possible without the excellent service from Jules. She definitely goes way above and beyond and makes you feel special every time you speak to her. A brilliant company!

My family started our journey part exchanging our home with a William Davis home in May of 2022. We had a fantastic experience with the sales team at the Wellington Place branch, and have nothing but praise.We had a few snags with our solicitors along the way but William Davis did everything they could to make the process as smooth as possible. We moved into our new WD home in August 2022 and have loved it. The build quality and finish is excellent, and whatever small problems we’ve had (which any home would have) have been resolved. The after care has been prompt, the site manager has been fantastic, and the sales ladies are still wonderful when we get the joy of interacting with them. Would thoroughly recommend buying a William Davis property, don’t hesitate to part exchange either if it is an option-took the hassle out of selling!

We love our new home!

We absolutely love our new home at Princes Place in Radcliffe-on-Trent. After a bad experience with moving in to our previous new build property, we thought long and hard about whether another new build was a good idea but William Davis have completely changed our perspective! We had excellent customer service from Marie and Carol. They kept us informed at every opportunity with the sales process, which went on forever as our chain was broken on several occasions. We got a great feeling about William Davis since we visited site for the first time and we're so glad we made the decision to move here.The standard and quality of the build is outstanding and having everything included was a massive bonus for us! We paid thousands in extras when purchasing our old house with another builder, even to have turf in our garden but William Davis include all sorts of helpful extras, such as Hive heating and an outdoor tap for convenience. The excellent customer service continues after you move in and they genuinely care about putting the tiny snags right as soon as possible.We have already recommended to all of our friends and we love our home.Thank you WD! 😊

Great customer service throughout the house buying process. After sales customer care has been equally as good. My only slight criticism is that internally there is only 1 coat of paint on all walls, two would have been much better. Having said that I would still 100% recommend William Davis.

Sold the dream but it was all rubbish.

We wouldn't recommend a house built by William Davis Homes. The sales pitch is all about using high end materials and appliances but the reality is far from what we were told. The walls are mainly studded and paper thin so useless for hanging items. The kitchen appliances don't wash things properly, especially on low heat settings so not so energy efficient as billed. Same for toilets which need a second flush to do the job. Considering that this is a new build the house is already very cold and damp so we're dreading when the colder days arrive. Overall very disappointed with what we've got for our money.

Economical with materials and very economical with the truth

These homes are nothing like what we thought we were buying.We wish we had taken more notice of the numerous poor reviews as they were definitely right. Talking to neighbours on the development, many are having similar issues with shoddy standards and are very disappointed with their homes. Several are having drainage problems, water getting into their homes and some have already got damp problems.The construction of the houses is very poor, workmen are extremely rude and their workmanship is terrible.I expected some disruption living on a building site but the amount of mud, dust and noise is ridiculous.

Avoid William Davis Homes, Absolutely Horrible Customer Service & Incompetent Repairs

I wish I had known better before investing in a home from William Davis. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. The nightmare that has been our experience with this company continues to worsen with every passing day.ABC in Customer Service? Utterly Useless.I have never encountered such a dismissive, incompetent person as ABC from their customer service department. It's almost as if she's been trained to ignore, deflect, and deny everything you bring up. Every time I've reached out for help with an issue, she responds in the same robotic manner, offering no real solutions. Instead, she just tells you that she "can't do anything" or that "it's within industry standards." Good luck getting a straight answer or, heaven forbid, any follow-up at all. She never calls back. I’ve literally had to call 50 times in a row, and it’s the same story every time. Her attitude is beyond frustrating, and it feels like she’s just trying to wear you down so you give up.The "Repairs" Are a JokeTo make matters worse, the "repair" team they send out is just as bad. These workers come in, act like they’re doing you a huge favor, and then leave the job half-done, or worse, make things worse. It’s as if they’re working against you, not for you. They act like they’re paying out of their own pocket to fix the issues. I’ve had these so-called "professionals" do shoddy work, and then just give up after a couple of attempts. It’s a slap in the face. My shower’s still leaking, and my windows and doors are still poorly installed. You can tell that no one at William Davis cares enough to actually fix anything.Endless Problems, No SolutionsWe’ve been dealing with the same issues over and over: leaks, cold drafts, and faulty installations. Despite multiple visits, no one seems to have the skills or motivation to fix even the most basic of problems. It’s almost like they’re hoping we’ll just go away or that we'll stop asking for repairs. After five visits to fix the same issues, the repair team now claims they can’t do anything else. Meanwhile, we’re stuck living with subpar conditions. Our home was freezing all winter because the windows and doors weren’t properly sealed, and we were forced to keep the heating running 24/7 just to stay warm.Skyrocketing Energy BillsThe worst part? Their "energy-efficient" homes are a joke. We spent over £2.5K on energy bills in just six months because the house is poorly insulated and not airtight at all. This is not what you expect when you buy a new home from a company that claims to build energy-efficient properties. Instead of saving money, we’ve been hemorrhaging cash on bills, all because William Davis Homes refuses to properly address the issues with their construction.Unequal Treatment and DiscriminationWhat really stings is the blatant discrimination we’ve faced. William Davis Homes seems to cherry-pick which homeowners to help. Some people get fast responses and solutions, while others (like us) are left in the dust. It’s clear that they don’t treat all customers equally, and some problems just never get addressed. It’s a terrible feeling knowing that, despite your ongoing issues, no one is taking you seriously.Bottom Line: Avoid William Davis Homes at All CostsThis entire experience has been one of frustration, wasted money, and broken promises. If you care about your hard-earned money and your peace of mind, stay away from William Davis Homes. Their customer service is a disaster, their repairs are pathetic, and the overall experience has been nothing short of disastrous. We’ve been dealing with the same issues for months, and it’s clear they don’t care one bit about fixing them. Do yourself a favor and invest in a home from a company that actually values its customers. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.Oh, and here's the kicker: when the repair team calls ABC in customer service, she picks up immediately, every time. But when I as the customer try to reach her, she never answers my calls. Not once, not even once in the past year and a half. It’s almost like she’s got a special line for the workers and a whole different one for the actual homeowners, because it’s impossible to get through to her.It’s absolutely shameless and a complete joke. This kind of behavior is beyond frustrating and insulting. It’s clear that customer concerns are just an afterthought for William Davis Homes. The fact that their customer service representative can pick up the phone immediately when it’s convenient for the repair team, but never when it’s a paying customer trying to resolve issues, speaks volumes about their priorities, and none of them are in favor of the customer.

Beware

Beware. this company is building standard garage doors that are too narrow to allow access to many cars. Therefore, if you expect to park your car in the garage during winter or need access to charge a hybrid or electric car do not buy their houses. When I moved in and discovered the problem they claimed no-one has ever pointed this out to them before which I find hard to believe. however, now I have pointed it out they have basically said hard luck and they will continue to build with doors too small anyway !

Leave you high and dry once you are in!

I've been waiting almost 6 months for them to fix the garden in our new home. One of the major factors in buying the house! After explaining on multiple times we would want to use the garden in summer, after chasing and chasing and chasing, I've got a date of the 4th of July they are now coming in summer meaning we will not be able to use our garden for the summer holidays. The general attitude of the snagging is so poor as if they are doing us a favour! The big boss came to look at it and agreed it wasn't acceptable in the beginning of March and still nothing sorted. We were told a couple of weeks before they could start. They blame the contractors they are using as if that takes away their ownership of the problem. They are your contractors - manage them properly! I'm so disappointed with the service after we moved in, I feel like 5.5 months is more than patient enough. To now tell our daughter she won't be able to play in the garden all summer is the final straw!

Extremely poor customer service.We were looking to buy a William Davis home. Thank goodness we didn’t! From the get go, the sales team were rude and unhelpful. We ‘reserved’ a property which meant we would have first refusal on the house when it was released. I emailed continuously for months to ask about the build only to be told to be patient and that the property hadn’t been released yet. Eventually they rang me on a Saturday to tell me the house was now available. I missed the call and received a voicemail the next day to tell me we could officially reserve the property with a reservation deposit. I called back only to be told the property had been reserved by someone else and they only give 24 hours to reserve the property which they NEVER told us. I was appalled. But thank goodness we didn’t go any further. I’ve read several bad reviews about the bad quality of the builds. Dodged a bullet.

Good while you are buying the house

Good while you are buying the house. Aftercare service shocking workmanship . On going to complaints not resolved. Wrote to MD not heard back. Customer service team is a joke. Kitchen falling apart, smeg fridge freezer put next to oven, even though fitting instructions say not to be fitted near a heat source. After smeg themselves have done two reports saying the only thing causing issue is where it’s fitted.
