I was very very impressed with end to end service I received from the lettings team. Vatche and Edward kept in touch regularly and it's only down to their persistence that we put put our house with them to rent. My view was that if they worked as hard to sell our house as well as they did to get the instruction, then they would do a good job. Thankfully they did, our house let within a week or so of it being placed with them. Katy then did a wonderful job securing our tenants, who have since moved in without a hitch. I would happily recommend them to anyone in the Richmond or Kew area.

Withholding deposit despite contract terms, Avoid.

Terrible experience with the move-out process. Our contract states the deposit must be returned within 10 days. It has been over 20 days and John D Wood still refuse to release it because the landlord "hasn't replied."

I highly recommend John D Wood to anyone looking to sell or let their property. We recently purchased a property through Zoe Thomas in the sales team. She was by far the best estate agent we dealt with, she was so helpful and so on the ball compared to other agents we were looking through. We completely trusted Zoe. We later dealt with her manager Jessica who was also brilliant, she introduced us to the lettings department who valued the property we were purchasing for lettings. We signed up for the managed service and Lucy Fox the lettings negotiator let the property for the asking price a week after we completed the purchase! Avoid at any cost

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative.Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

Worst treatment

As a tenant by Vanet Asset Property Management (part of the John D Wood & Co Group), my comments for them are: just terrible!Such a bad treatment from one single agency. Staff turnover is extremely high, different agent each month. No issue log whatsoever, so you need to call them daily to make sure whoever picks up your case, will have the details. So many incidents where we thought our issue was progressing and being resolved, while in reality it wasn't!Forgetting/ignoring tasks, not even when it comes to deposit.Interesting to see what kind of training their agents go through? Do they know how to keep log of issues?Sorry but this is unacceptable treatment.

Awful Lettings Management

As a tenant who has had John D Wood as my lettings management for the last 6 years I can say that they are absolutely awful. They don't reply to emails, don't take responsibility, don't put out of office emails on so you can't get anything urgent done. I would never use them.
