I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

DO NOT RENT WITH JOHN D WOOD UNLESS YOU LOVE STRESS 6 months of hell. No ventilation, health hazard.

They are the worst letting agent we’ve ever dealt with, do not rent or buy with this company, complete incompetence at all levels of management. They will cost you money, time, stress & potentially your health, it is not worth it! When we moved out we also recieved our deposit back in full just for clarity. (Though it took much longer than it should have)

Deposit nightmare solved

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Particularly, I would like to thank Jamie Cozens and Kelly Boswell for their excellent care and professionalism. At every stage of the process, they were kind, extremely meticulous and took great care to find a property for me that truly met my needs. So often, an agency experience can leave you a little deflated; you often get the sense that a particular property is being 'pushed on you'. However, this couldn't be further from the truth here! I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

My husband and I recently rented a property through this agent. I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. After dealing with many letting agents in the past, John D Wood far surpass the competition for service, professionalism, and sincerity - a quality very hard to find in this business these days! Jonathon Manto looked after us every step of the way - a true professional. It did take time due to a very elaborate and inefficient referencing system used by the company. But Jonathon made sure that everything ran smoothly and did his utmost to ensure that everything was resolved to our satisfaction. Overally, we would recommend this company highly - why go anywhere else!
