GoogleI am renting through Prospect Reading, and the process of securing our house was super easy. The referencing went incredibly fast, and Lewis and the team did a great job ensuring we secured the property for our move-in. Vickie worked wonderfully with the landlord to ensure all our requests were addressed. It is always a pleasure to engage with Vickie and the team!

TrustpilotShocking lack of care, unaddressed safety hazards, and total radio silence
I moved into a property managed by this agency almost 2 months ago, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Despite identifying and officially logging multiple high-priority safety and structural issues on their Fixflo system, the agency has gone completely silent and ignored multiple emails and phone calls. We are currently living with a faulty front door lock (a major security risk), unstable sunken internal stairs, a loud water tank defect causing severe sleep deprivation, and black mould. To make matters worse, a contractor sent by the landlord literally drilled holes into a utility door, abandoned the job unfinished, and stopped answering calls. Furthermore, despite a verbal agreement during our viewing that we did not need the landlord's white goods, the agency refused to remove them. They forced us to move them onto the driveway, where they blocked our parking space and were ruined by the rain. Due to the agency's prolonged delays in collecting them, one of the appliances was actually stolen last week (which has been reported to the police). The most frustrating part is that we have tried to be cooperative, even accommodating the landlord’s urgent mortgage surveyor, yet our good faith has been met with total neglect. Because the agency has failed to meet their statutory obligations and basic contractual duties, we have now been forced to escalate this entire matter to The Property Ombudsman and the local Council's Environmental Health Team. Prospective tenants beware: once you sign the contract, your safety and communication no longer seem to be a priority for this team.

1- I had some viewings with them and found a place for 150K. I offered 140K and they didn't put it forward. Now the place is for 140K on the market. 2- They confirmed twice by email and their brochure that the service charge was zero. After the offer, it turned out that there was a service charge for aroud £600. 3- They have a mortgage broker, even though you agree to have a call with them, they don't bother to call you. I tried calling them at least 10 times, but they didn't even answer the call. Okay, the viewing side was good, but then everything became so unprofessional. And now I cancelled my offer and they are saying that they won't show me any more properties. If you need to validate my review, please contact back and happy to provide any evidence.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with PROSPECT that I feel compelled to share. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:00 PM, which I arranged in advance and planned my day around. While I was already on my way, having travelled a considerable distance, I received a call at 3:00 PM informing me that the appointment had been cancelled. This last-minute notice was highly unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for my time and effort. Such poor coordination and communication are unacceptable, especially from a property agent where reliability and professionalism are essential. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative agents who demonstrate better organisation and respect for their clients. Very disappointing service overall.

She followed up, spent a lot of time on my file, chased solicitors (both mine and the seller's) regularly to ensure that everyone stayed on timelines. There were times when she provided me updates sooner than my own solicitors.
