If what you’re looking for in an estate agent is someone who says all the right things, puts in the least amount of effort possible, gives you a lot of viewings to make it seem like they’re doing something but can then never get in contact with those people again, don’t show any enthusiasm or have any answers during those viewings, then thos is the estate agent for you! Our experience with Prospect was terrible. When they miraculously end up getting you an offer, they work against you, rush you into trying to find a place of your own and tell the people who made the offer that we aren’t making any effort to proceed. Ross, who we had to deal with after the offer, always threw his “experience” into every conversation despite seemingly doing everything he could ruin in the offer. After two years of trying to sell through High Street estate agents, we finally came to our senses and went with somebody who actually knew what they were doing. If you actually want to sell your property, do what we did and contact Ollie Hawkins at Avocado, or anyone from Avocado (or non-high street agents). He sold it within a week of listing it, actually seemed to care about what he was selling and the people he was selling it for and is actually a really nice guy. Don’t make the mistake we made for as long as we made it. High Street agents don’t care about you or your property, they only care about the numbers. Go with an agent who can actually deliver on what they promise and actually cares about you.

Above and beyond property management

Prospect have been my letting agency for the last 10 years and my lettings manage Nikki Gardner is second to none. Nikki has a great understanding of my requirements, works tirelessly to provide a 5 star service, even going as far as checking in outside normal office hours. She understands the market we are and provides a wonderful service to myself and my tenants. She is proactive and amazingly supportive. Fully managed property management from Nikki Gardner at Prospect

Nikki Gardner has been my property manager for a number of years now providing a fully managed service for my two properties. She is very efficient in advising of any issues brought to her attention and arranging rectification works to be carried out which is perfect for my situation as I now live in Somerset following retirement. On the rare occasion Nikki is not around e mails are picked up by a colleague and responded to in a timely manner. All together a first class serivce and highly recommeded if you are thinking of letting property.

We had alot of issues looking for properties to rent with this estate agents. We had 1 in particular that we really liked from them that fit all of our needs and was a favourite to go ahead with. Trying to book a viewing we were told we can't as we did not meet the payment requirements. My roommate (who is a student) called twice about this and was shut down both times without any guidance as to why her, student loan, savings or pip didn't qualify as part of her income. I called the next day and was booked in to view the property almost immediately despite me stating the exact same income that she had stated. Time comes to the viewing, we were called by Ella the day before to confirm we would be there. We arrive 5 minutes before the agreed upon time and there is a couple who had already been waiting 15 minutes to view the same property. We waited 15 minutes (other couple waiting a total of 30 minutes after their slot at this point) before we had to leave to view another property with a different provider. During our time waiting both ourselves and the other couple has called the Prospects number multiple times to receive very little help: "I don't have her mobile and there's no one in the office so she must be with you soon. Theres nothing else I can do". We later found out we were talking to head office and not even being referred to the Reading team that we requested. We went in to this office after our other viewing and told them how disappointed we were as this property was our favoured option. Lewis was apologetic and explained he had just spoken with the couple before us about the same concerns (they did eventually get to view as they continued to wait) and that no one had informed him about the delay. Out of everyone we had spoke to he was the most helpful. Lewis re-booked us to view the property on Tuesday, knowing that I am not currently a resident in reading and would be travelling after work just to see this Tuesday viewing (nothing he could help with there, he tried to be as accommodating as possible). We were just happy we were finally getting to view the property after the disappointing day and previous issues. Come to Tuesday morning, we recieve a call that the property is no longer available to view. We are left only wondering if we had seen it at the agreed time whether it would be us putting down the holding deposit. 2 wasted trips to reading for me, not even a chance to look at it and continous hurdles to jump over for both of us to even get the viewing. I would not recommend this estate agents.

My chain had a few moving parts and took a fair bit of time to come together, but Beth Murphy was brilliant throughout. Beth made sure I was always up to date, which made a big difference during what can be a stressful process. Her quick responses gave confidence throughout. Our chain sale process was complicated with months of waiting for the legal work to finish and vast documentations, but Ross, Akansha & their team were throughout the process of this long 5 months by constantly supporting and updating us with the development. Though it was a very hectic process but because of them our transition was extremely smooth as Akansha kept us updated throughout the process and on the day of exchange of the contract, Ross was constantly updating us with the latest information so, we were well informed throughout the process. 100% going to recommend them to my friends and family. The best experience I've had with selling

When I met with Michael I explained my situation of why I needed to sell my house in. short timeframe. Michael and Rebecca were fantastic and we managed to sell and complete within 3-4 months. Their communication was great and updated me on every step pf the journey. It was a really tough time for me personally so having Michael and Rebecca take care of my sale wasn't taken for granted. I had a great experience working with the team at Prospect during my recent house purchase. Daniel Simmonds was fantastic early on, showing me the property before it even hit the market and facilitated questions between myself and the seller during the negotiation stage. Once my offer was accepted, Michael Sharp took over and provided excellent communication throughout the process.
