Recently moved and purchased through Prospect. They were brilliant from minute one all the way up to completion. The knowledge they had of the property and surrounding areas was so helpful as we were moving to an area we didnt have much knowledge of. After our offer was accepted Bernadette from sales progression assisted us and genuinely we couldn't have got through the process without her. During the whole process we found it difficult getting answers or sometimes even contact from solicitors but Bernadette was brilliant. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful for everything she did and Prospect as a whole. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using them for all aspects of buying and selling again in the future.

I withdrew from a purchase after a long run of back and forth over documents, including a structural survey I requested through my solicitors and never received. The decision was mine, based on several signals along the way. I told my solicitor, my mortgage provider, and - as a courtesy - the estate agent. I now know the last one was a courtesy I needn't have extended. This review isn't about the various hiccups before that. It's about the final email I received from the agent. The seller's solicitor eventually sent the documents I'd been asking for, but by then the agent's own conduct had settled the matter for me. The guilt-trip routine on display here is an outdated sales tactic and no basis for any serious strategy. You act for the seller, but you need buyers to keep sellers happy - and every buyer becomes a seller eventually. Treating buyers as partners from day one isn't a nicety, it's the job. That was lost entirely on someone who is, apparently, a Branch Partner. If that's the standard at partner level, it tells you plenty about the agency. A word of caution, and not just to buyers: if you're a seller choosing who represents your home, choose carefully. They will speak to your buyers the way they spoke to me, and it will cost you the sale.

We recently sold a house through Prospect in Reading . Due to various issues (not of Prospect's making , I hasten to add) the process took 1 year to complete . So to give 5 stars would be a little odd . Bernadette Martin was responsible for the sale progression and to her credit she did her best under very difficult cicumstances .The buyers solicitor had only one speed and that was ultra slow , coupled with a perdantic modus operandi. Bernadette was up against it and did her utmost to get the deal over the line - and for that we are very grateful. She is a definate assett to Prospect.

Prospect - Reading....'absolute rubbish ' . Flat brought 10yrs ago for £215k tried to sell via a Prospect estate agent who had been tapping me up for about 2yrs. Assured he could get btw 200k and 210k. To start with terrible photos were taken of flat. Not even air brushed to take out clutter. Then they started every couple of weeks telling me to drop price. Dropped to £190k...assured i should sell at this price. I wanted to leave at £190 but then after a few months wanted me off there books. A manager then called and said flat only worth £160k?!? A deliberately derisory and insulting sum designed to annoy me and get me off there books. It worked!!. Would not use them ever again.

I’ve had a really positive experience working with Nikki at Prospect. She has been consistently professional, responsive, and easy to deal with throughout our tenancy. Nikki handled our renewal smoothly, ensuring all documentation was clear and completed promptly, and was also very helpful in liaising with the landlord to negotiate a more manageable rent increase. The support provided by Prospectus Estate Agent, from the initial property viewing through to placing an offer and completion, was smooth and well-managed. At each stage, different members of the Prospectus team were involved, and the transitions between teams were seamless. Responses were prompt, follow-ups were timely, and the staff were consistently friendly. Communication was clear and professional throughout the process, which made the experience reassuring. However, the service from the conveyancer recommended by the estate agent was less efficient. Some enquiries went back and forth for several weeks, resulting in avoidable delays and a degree of frustration.

We were selling using a power of attorney so needed to get multiple quotes, we chose prospect because they seemed to not just professional but confident in selling the property. Unfortunately after selling the house the owner passed away so the sale had to be transferred to the company looking after the estate, Lloyds bank estate service. Lloyds were happy to accept the sale and instructed prospect to continue to completion.

Horrible. My agent instantly struck me as a sleazy salesman type. After agreeing to rent the property (from psychopathic landlords, might I add), he sent me an email saying something along the lines of "I'll be assisiting you all the way up to your move-in date". That was the last I heard from him. When I came to the agency to pick up my keys, he was at his desk pretending to not see me. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
