GoogleAbsolutely disgusted that this agent allowed a new born baby to knowingly live in a property with black mould. Granted they did repairs that needed doing in the home but when it came to mould it was ignored. This has had an impact on the babies lungs and he has been in and out of hospital four times in his 1st year. If you rent from these people please make sure you get EVERYTHING In writing because they are very quick to deny all knowledge when you decide the challenge and complain!!!!!
Dear Sharon We are sorry that your grandchild had health issues at the property and we have already replied to your son who lived at the property regarding this claim. In the time that they lived there, over £10,500 was spent on works, mainly issues that were water related (including hidden leaks in both the kitchen and the bathroom) and potentially a contributory factor to the mould reported. A report by a specialist damp company was carried out within 3 weeks of the mould being reported which unfortunately was prolonged as it was over the Xmas break. This led to other works being carried out including the clearing of airbricks, new extractor fans and the supply of a dehumidifier. Following the reporting of mould in Dec 23 your son was offered a renewal of the tenancy in late March 24 and they replied in an e mail to my colleague Tim that they would love to sign for another year and specifically asked us to contact the owners to tell them it was lovely to meet them. In his e mail yesterday your son acknowledges the large scope of work carried out at the property but does not seem to realise that the vast majority was to alleviate the mould. Your son also claimed that this issue forced him to leave the property early whereas the actual fact was they were served notice by the landlords as they were always planning to move back in. The most recent property inspection showed that mould was no longer an issue and they left it until after they vacated before sending us a complaint where the only request was for financial compensation.

GoogleI have had a very upsetting, distressing experience with this company. I viewed a rental property and really liked it then the land land agreed on excepting me, due to my 12 hour shifts with the NHS I couldn't sort out the deposit until a couple of days later. There was no communication from there side, then I received an email saying it has been given to someone else after I have payed the deposit.😂 Really unreliable and not trust worthy!! Do not use this estate agents.
Dear Kelly. I am sorry you feel this way after we had explained the situation to you. It was agreed with the landlords for you to take the property and were informed that the holding deposit would secure the property and could be paid easily by card over the phone or by bank transfer. You then requested to move in a couple of weeks later than initially agreed and as no deposit had been received the landlords opted for another party with an earlier move date. We only received your deposit 2 days after the landlord chose to proceed with another applicant and this was then refunded to you.

GoogleGail was absolutely fabulous and couldn't have done more to help us with our move. She was constantly one step ahead and really helpful with all our questions, queries and numerous visits to the property. When she was out other members of the team were also great, calling back when they said they would, taking charge and really keeping on top of everything. Would definitely recommend!

GoogleI would highly recommend Gail and the team at Martin & Co. I first went to them to rent my property out and they quickly found a tenant for men where others had struggled. When I decided to sell, Gail and Sue were excellent, they talked me through my options and supported me to get the flat onto the market. GoogleGail has gone above and beyond during an extraordinary time. As Covid-19 ravaged the country and in lockdown Gail was working hard doing admin and preparation so we were completely ready. We gave Gail our list of wants and she gave us promises on which she delivered 100%. Within a few days after restrictions were eased Gail was on the case and we had 23 first class pictures of our property, a brochure was made and we were a premium ad on Rightmove. Gail's expertise was tested when she advised us to raise our asking price but within a few days we had a viewing which became an offer. Gail stayed in constant contact with updates and all our questions answered immediately. Gail is a credit to Martin & Co and in a trade which doesn't always get a good reputation she is a shining star. Highly recommend.

GoogleGail Bond at Martin & Co has been fantastic during my sale. It's been 3rd time lucky selling a flat during the regulation changes around tall buildings. However, Gail has persevered and pushed buyers, brokers and solicitors along to get a sale across the line. I can't recommend Gail highly enough.

FacebookThree years ago, my family and I were in the process of moving. Like so many, we made the usual searches on line. We found a couple of possible places to live. One was held by Martin and Co. From the very onset, all involved bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. During our time here, any problems arising (miner plumbing issues) have been dealt with in a matter of days (not weeks). Any time we have had to phone or contact during this time, the staff are Always more than happy to help. I could regale you with a dozen "Oh my Gosh, they're amazing" stories, yet do not wish to go on. This Much I will say... They truly are an awesome team. Thank you.. Jc and Family. X
