GoogleUpon leaving the property earlier this year, Martin and co were very poor with communications, often leaving days for important information to be passed on. Emails would often be sent to us with 10 minutues to reply before the office closed, meaning getting any new information required waiting until the next day.
When we was preparing to leave the property, they pushed to have viewings with little notice, and then then on the day on the veiwing the agent had turned up an hour early, and despite us requesting over the phone to be present for the viewing, being an hour early we was not in yet and they had let themselves into our flat.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

I've lived in a few properties where the landlord has been rather overbearing but at Martin & Co they are very respectful of my privacy there was a small issue electrical issue when I moved in and reporting it using the app they use was very easy and the issue was solved very quickly since then it's been plain sailing. Highly recommend to people living and working in Plymouth to find a property through Martin and Co.

I should've trusted my gut from the start with Martin & Co, would've saved a lot of stress and wasted time. I felt a very pushy attitude when viewing a potential property being told 'it's my dream home'. It was a nice house, not the dream house but it ticked a lot of boxes and our offered was accepted. After a few months we had a phone call asking if we had any progress, had we found anything. This was quite confusing as my husband and I were buying and selling through them. After months of waiting for our vendor to find somewhere to move on to, our buyer pulled out. It was then we discovered that Martin & Co had lost the keys to our property. After agreeing to change the locks, my husband asked for someone to contact him to agree someone to come round. He then had an email stating the locks had been changed and keys were left in an unsecure location.As new offers were given under the value of our property, we were pressured to accept low offers.Nearly 8 months after our offer was accepted by the vendor, my husband called to find out if our vendors had found anything, he was told that they were not looking and we would be expected to pay a lot more now the house was worth more! I phoned a week later and got a very different story. The agent was very defensive of the vendors and boarding on rude. They seemed to have forgotten that they were selling our property to. When we queried the price change we were made to feel like it was our fault, our problem. They had no interest in selling our property, we had to show viewers around our property as they don't bother to work on Saturdays! Fed up and at our wits end, we asked them where we stood with the whole picture. We were met with 'you are out of contract so feel free to go to another agent' which gave us the confirmation that they could not be bothered with selling our property. After 9 months, did we get told the vendors had pulled out of our offer? Of course not, we found out by seeing it back on the market. Don't waste you time with Martin & Co.
