GoogleAfter my tenant moved out I received an amazingly comprehensive and professional report on the condition of the property together with photographs where needed. The whole process of ending the tenancy and finding a new tenant was also professionally and expeditiously handled and I was confident that my interests were being looked after carefully. Abigail, Louise, Alice and Martha were always on the ball and kept me posted at all time in a cheerful and friendly manner. The Trusted AgentFirst time renter
I was a bit in the dark renting on my own and for the first time, but Emma has been helpful and friendly all the way. I must have started renting when Martin & Co were taking over Executive Lets so if there were teething problems it all seemed to run smoothly. If I have a question no matter how trivial, Emma always replies promptly and answers my question in full. Very approachable.

GoogleWe used Martin and Co for both Landlord services for years and then for selling our house. Huge thank you to Janine and Emma for all their hard work and support. We had a few sales fall through, due to issues from the seller side (not Martin & Co fault) and EVERY time they resold the houses within the week. Communication was great, we live outside the area (military) so it was great to know our house was in confident, experienced hands. Any additional support we needed i.e pre-sale clean etc was handled without question. Thank you both for your steadfast, professional and kind work that allowed us to move on to the next phase of our family life. Highly recommended to all

She replied to all of our enquiries promptly and was very patient with our millions of questions. She helped us chase things when there were delays (due to no fault of Martin and co) and we are very grateful to her and the letting agency.

GoogleThis is the only letting agent I’ve had where the MD is never available to speak with over the phone or even by email. The previous letting agent’s MD’s were available, I’d even met them, and exchanged emails from them. All reviews on this site seem to be answered directly by the MD. My tenancy ended with Martin & Co earlier this year but today out of the blue I received a promotional email from them, compelling me to get a response directly from Mr Whittaker. Thank you.

GoogleNot usually one to leave bad reviews, however my experience with this agent has left me very disappointed. I left a rented property 26/01 and only received my deposit back today (22/03) 8 weeks later. Communication from the agents and landlord was terrible. I would only receive updates when I chased on email/phone and no one else was willing to help in the absence of the agent we had. Never once did i get an update without chasing. I received an end of tenancy assessment dated 29/01 which wasn’t sent to me until 22/02. This advised all areas were in good condition and clean. However on 11/03, I was told that the report was wrong and I will be charged for a clean! The new tenants had been in the property for a month by this point! I was given false promise after false promise of when it would be resolved. I was told the following at least 4 times “I’m chasing the landlord, this will be resolved today, I’ll update you later”. This never happened once. I received my deposit back on the day that I would’ve been able to file a complaint via ombudsman which seems a funny coincidence. I will definitely avoid using the services of agency in future.
Dear Matt, I know that you have spoken at length about this with our Head of Property Management Mark Evered. We agree with you. On this occasion we didn't communicate in as effective or timely a manner as we should have done. We're really disappointed by this and have apologised as such. There are a couple of issues that we couldn't have changed - not least the decision by the landlord to amend his initial claim to include the costs for cleaning. We were also dependent upon the landlord agreeing to release funds to you and couldn't make this decision unilaterally. All in all, a very frustrating episode and one where we could and should have done better. I am glad that you received your deposit return in full but equally acknowledge the delay in this being approved by the landlord and our poor communication. They discriminate against you if you don't have a guarantor but do have a guarantor policy, so if you haven't got a family or family member who is rolling in cash forget it, and the staff aren't helpful at all in these situations
