GoogleBrilliant letting agents. Brookdale helped us out so much as our last agents let us down badly. We have recently sold the property we were letting and Brookdale could not have been more helpful regarding sending us all the relevant paperwork to help the sale go smoothly. Honest and reliable, highly recommend. Julie Burke and Dave Curtis have been brilliant.

GoogleVery unhappy as a tenant - they are landlord-focused and don't seem interested in taking care of tenants, only in maximizing the profit of the landlord. As I tenant I have been met with top-down pedantic and arrogant communication from Brookdale agents. Not impressed.

Thank you Amy F for your review, which seemed to appear on other Agent's sites also., so it would appear to be bogus. However to answer the points the first point about us being landlord focussed is correct as we are their Agent and they are paying us to do as they instruct and act in their interests. We always take care of tenants, in fact, as all Agents will know, most of our work deals with tenant calls and with over 1100 managed properties we have a huge amount of very pleased tenants. So we are also tenant focussed. The point about maximising the landlords profit is hard to understand. Landlords will instruct us what to do so they will choose how much or how little they make from the rental. Our involvement in individual properties will reflect the individual landlord's intentions. We are always open to tenants who wish to discuss natters so I would suggest the reviewer visits our office so we could talk this through.

GoogleAlways very helpful, quick replies to e-mails and a network of professionals that assisted on every situation to get things resolved as quickly as possible. One time, when we were having problems with our house heating system, not only the offered some electric heaters, but they delivered/collected them to/from my house. At the end of my tenancy, leaving inspection was carried out quickly and deposit returned in full in a very short cycle.

They were very quick to arrange a viewing and within days after all details checked I was able to take procession. GoogleWARNING LANDLORDS The only problem is when you want to leave Brookdale, you get a demand for 2 years commissions payable to Brookdale, Make sure you read there terms and conditions be you sign with them.

Thank you Pit Pull. Not just landlords but everyone needs to be warned to read contracts ! This is why we send ours out normally after the first discussion with any landlord. It would appear you did not follow your own advice. However before we get onto that point we need to correct your incorrect statement. Any landlord can leave Brookdale when the tenant vacates and the property becomes empty and they wish to use another Agent or move back in etc. They can also leave us if they think we have breached our management terms. So your statement is totally incorrect. What our contract does not allow for is for landlords to sign up for management terms and then, when we have worked hard to create a good tenancy, to decide then to cut out our commission and take on the tenancy. Almost all contracts have some kind of redemption penalty. If you get a lease car you honour the lease, a mortgage then you honour the term. All our contract does is protect us from unscrupulous landlords who want to use our skill and then not pay for it, that is normal, Our contracts are sent out well in advance and all writing is in good size and simple English so there is no attempt to trick anyone. We manage over 1200 properties and most of our business comes from recommendations so these landlords obviously have no issues with our conditions and are more concerned about our high level of service.than how they can manipulate our management.

GoogleI had a very pleasant experience in dealing with Brookdale in my 2 years of tenancy, they've always been very helpful and I had no issues with them. The boiler broke down once and it was fixed the following day! Just moved out last week, the final inspection was professional and they seemed more keen to return my deposit than me! It's a shame I'm relocating to Yorkshire or I'll definitely stay with Brookdale!
