Brookdale is the best agency in Peterborough to rent from! There is no issues at all! It’s a beautiful change for us to have such quiet and stress free tenancy. From the beginning they were all very helpful Mikey and Craig took a great care of our moving even put hating on for us so we not cold when we arrive!!! Now it’s been nearly a year with them and I cannot stress enough how great I feel living in their property my issues are felt with immediately. Thus is my best tenancy in Peterborough in the last 13 years. Do not look further as you will not find better agents in this city.

Since starting my journey into being a landlord, I have now been with Brookdale for over 11 years and have found them to be very helpful in any problems or issues and in also providing help and information when I sold one of my properties a few years back. Have always found Richard to be excellent in negotiating with tenants and providing information on moving out issues. I wish I could write a positive review, but I genuinely feel let down by the way I was treated by the staff. While a few team members were professional and did their jobs adequately, the overall experience was disappointing. Communication was very poor throughout the entire process. I applied for a property and my situation was an emergency. I found a place I could afford, but instead of helping me secure it, the agency made me feel like a second-class citizen. My family and I were treated poorly and I can’t shake the feeling that it was because of our accent. Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time I’ve experienced this kind of behaviour from certain establishments, so the signs were familiar. I made a complaint about the rudeness we encountered while trying to get the property. Soon after, I was told the landlord didn’t want to proceed, despite the fact that I never even met the landlord. I find this hard to believe. Regardless, the agency made no effort to help me with another suitable property, which was upsetting and only confirmed what my gut feeling had been telling me. I’m sharing my experience to raise awareness. The two stars are only for the two staff members who were actually helpful. If it were based on overall attitude, I would give no stars.

When I first decided to rent a property 12 years ago, I visited several Letting Agents to find out who I wanted to use. After meeting with Richard, I decided to go with Brookdale and I have never regretted my decision. As a first time renter I was given invaluable advice about how to prepare the property to ensure it reached the desired rental standard and to make it attractive to prospective tenants. The vetting standard is very thorough, documentation is comprehensive and communication from all staff at the office is excellent, especially Julie and Mags. I feel Brookdale look after both my interests and those of the tenant very well whether it is arranging prompt repairs, ensuring all health and safety checks are done on time and doing regular inspections to ensure the property is maintained to a good standard. I’ve been a tenant through Brookdale since nearly 7 years ! Being a dog owner back then I called all ( and I mean literally all ) letting agencies in Peterborough. We were so desperate to find a place to live without having to give up our pets. Brookdale has been so understanding and wanted to hear from previous agencies on how the pet situation had been before giving us an answer . This already is a massive bonus point . Surely I’m aware it’s not always in the agencies hands however their approach has been nothing but perfect ! Repairs & maintenance! Anything I’ve reported over they years was resolved within a matter of days . Never was any repair or issue not taken serious . When it came to rental increase , the timeframe kept correctly & also dialog was made between landlord & myself the tenant to find a good, suitable and acceptable solution for both parties . If I’ll ever move from this current property I’d hope to stay with Brookdale as a letting agent because I feel heard & seen as a tenant . Special shout-out to Magda who’s been nothing but supportive .

I would strongly caution anyone against renting through Brookdale Letting Agents. My experience with them has been nothing short of stressful, unjust, and deeply disappointing. Despite being a responsible tenant who reported property issues promptly, Brookdale's maintenance team failed to properly address a serious boiler leak that damaged the ceiling. They neither investigated the full extent of the damage nor restored the ceiling to allow for early detection of future leaks. When further damage occurred, they attempted to shift the blame onto me, even though the issue had already been reported and inadequately handled. When I rightly challenged this, Brookdale resorted to pressure tactics, including threats of a Section 21 eviction notice and verbal pressure to leave before my tenancy ended, claiming the landlord wanted the property back. To avoid further stress, embarrassment, and potential homelessness for my family, I chose to leave a few weeks early, only to now be threatened with a small claims court case for the remaining rent. So let’s be clear: they tried to force me out, and now they are trying to punish me for leaving, while still refusing to refund my deposit. This behaviour is not just unprofessional; it is cruel, manipulative, and exploitative. It's a shocking way to treat tenants who are doing their best to live peacefully and respectfully. Brookdale Letting Agents seem more interested in profit and blame-shifting than in providing a fair, supportive service. I will be escalating this matter to the relevant tenancy deposit protection scheme and consumer rights organisations. Avoid Brookdale if you value peace of mind, fair treatment, and human decency.

I do not recommend this agency. My experience was very disappointing. The team showed a lack of professionalism and transparency, leading to wasted time and unnecessary frustration from the very beginning of the process. There are far better agencies available.
