Earlier this year we approached Penny and Sinclair with a view to letting our central Oxford house over the summer months. The professional service offered by the agents is impressive and friendly. We have dealt in particular with Judith and Georgia (and Carmen initially) in the Oxford City office. They are highly experienced and helped us to prepare the property for letting, recommending that we had professional photos taken etc. They advertise on their own website and also use the Airbnb platform. We were pleased with the number of lettings they achieved over the summer at a very acceptable rent and the way this was managed with efficient housekeeping and prompt payment. We are very happy to recommend the Short Lets side of Penny and Sinclair's business.

Judith and Georgia are consummate professionals, friendly and courteous on the phone and in person. Their response to a problem is prompt and efficient, with interests of both landlord and tenant always uppermost. As an owner, I certainly cannot complain about the exemplary level of service I have received, especially during the winter months, when trade usually drops off a little. I found that Judith keeps her eye the ball and knows when and how long to suggest a slight discount, in order to keep the bookings buoyant! Team JG make an excellent team - well done!

My husband and I have been tenants since October 2018 in Oxford using Penny and Sinclair as our letting agent. Through my work, I have experienced many letting agencies and Penny and sinclair are undoubtedly the best. The contractual process to enter the property was reassuringly thorough and detailed and the moving in process was effortless. When there was any issue, such a heating problem or electrical issue with the lights, the property manager listened and acted with promptness and efficiency. We have had excellent communication at all times and been treated as valued clients. Worst rental agency I have ever dealt with as a tenant. I have rented from 10+ agencies in 3 different countries, and of course most of them are quite incompetent but Penny & Sinclair is something special. Their communication is awful. Do not expect getting a timely response to your inquiries. If you do, after a few weeks and calling them a few times, it will be from a new person you have never dealt with before. In 10 months of renting from them I probably had to deal with 7-8 different people. They are very professional with their end of tenancy inspection though. They will make sure you will see as little of your deposit as possible by inventing bogus charges, like £150 to empty wheelie bins that are already emptied by the council.

The letting agent with whom we dealt with, Nicola Randall of Penny and Sinclair was very cooperative and professional throughout.
