We have had a really good experience with Martin & Co. In fact on the day I spotted what was to become our new home Lizzie McLean from the Oxford office was able to come and collect me for a viewing within the hour. It was good luck for both of us that we were able to make an impromptu meeting. Following after that meeting and my decision to take make an offer to the landlord Lizzie was hugely efficient in firming up the details and by the ed of the day the deal was done. Thanks Lizzie!

Firstly, only communicate via e-mail. You WILL need everything in writing. They have a convenient way of forgetting what they have said. Even after proving them wrong the still deny all knowledge. Just get everything in writing, it will help. Please, please, please, get /everything/ in writing. They seemed helpful at first, they were pleasant and helpful. As I signed the contract they seemed overly pushy for me to write a review. If this is the same for you, give it a few months before doing so. They'll take your money and not want anything to do with you. I have had a number of issues with were I am renting. If you want anything sorted keep pestering them. It's the only way to get things achieved. They will tell you what you want to hear, but until you see results don't believe a word. The ones I dealt with are lazy. And I have been told that others are just as bad. They are rude and they don't care about their clients. They lie and and avoid answers. They are an appalling company. For the money I am paying I would expect a better service. Be prepared be treated like dirt. Even their tainees will think they are better than you. Martin and Co have done a wonderful job at finding a group of agents that don't care and are ill-trained. If I can sway one person to think twice about using them I will be happy. I cannot stress enough how awful they are. Hate is a strong word, and accurate. If I could give no stars, I would. 1 is being generous!

Luke Vecchione has been superb from the beginning. When the property, that we will now be renting, came on the market we were really excited to see it. But we found it difficult to arrange an appropriate time with Luke, so in the meantime we began viewing other properties. Then Luke kindly rang a few weeks later to book a viewing at a time that he knew we could do, and he seemed just as excited as we were. He has since been excellent at communicating with us and making sure the process for renting the property has been easy and efficient. I feel very pleased in the knowledge that we have the support of an excellent agent.

I have recently relocated from Newcastle to Oxford; Searching for rental properties in Oxford is a real pain especially being new to the place. Luckily, we met Paul at Martin & Co. He found the best property that suited our requirements in very quick time and made sure we moved in time without any hassles - I could clearly see the amount of hardwork Paul has put-in throughout the process. Paul Dashwood-Evans and Martin & Co have been exceptional at communicating with me from the start of the rental process; Paul's customer service skills are excellent!!! He has professionally, politely and patiently answered all our questions, some of them are very trivial :-) My wife is extremely happy the property, we settled into Oxford within no time and I'm focussing on my job peacefully. My experience with Martin & Co. was great and it came as a relief after a long and time consuming search for a place to live in the city of Oxford. Immediately, as I had our first conversation with Mr. Rober Westell we have arranged a viewing for a studio flat in the very center of Oxford. The flat was brand new and met all the specifications. Robert's continuous guidance and assistance made it possible to apply for the studio. I was guided through the filling of the forms until final agreement and signature of the contract with the Landlord. Everything run smoothly and nicely. Robert was very willing and motivated to provide a solution to every problem that I felt full of confidence and went ahead for the agreement. My case was pretty urgent as the college notified me really late that they don't have any accommodation anymore. It was literally two days before arrival. I immediately contacted letting agents in Oxford and Luke was the friendliest one amongst all of them. He helped me settled everything in less than two days. He would constantly contact me just to keep me up to date with the latest progress, even after office hours. So I'll finally have a place to stay tomorrow and I won't be homeless all thanks to Luke from Martin & Co.

Look in the illustrated Oxford English Dictionary under "Customer Service" and you'll find a picture of Bob, Clare, Sue and the team from Martin & Co in Oxford. The whole team are a delight to work with and I have done so since they started up in 2005 (I think!). What sets Martin & Co apart from a number of their peers is their attention to detail; the understanding they possess of what matters to their landlords and tenants and their ability to exceed the expectations of both with, what appears to be, consummate ease. No request, enquiry or question is too much trouble for them and they are a sheer delight to work with. I highly recommend them.

We moved out on 14th November 2015 as the house was sold due to Landlady living abroad.We were at the house for sixteen months. Lily has been very helpful through out our stay which was very reassuring as we have two young children.She always answered my many queries and problems were dealt with swiftly hope the next agent is as helpful and understanding.Lily understood what we were looking for and we were very happy with the home that we rented. I have been letting my property for many years and on the recommendation of a friend, changed my agents to Martin & Co. What a good decision as I am delighted with their personal touch and care! Lily and Richard are always most helpful and the fact that they do "surprise" visits to ensure the property is being cared for by the tenants is a bonus for the Agents always report back to me. In addition, on one occasion, the tenants were 2-3 days late in paying the rent, so I was immediately alerted by the accounts department, something which never occurred with any other agents I have used. I can recommend Martins without any reservation! Well done and thanks.

Hi My husband will be attending The Said Business School this coming September. With being in South Africa - I was not sure how we would find accommodation in Oxford to suit our needs. I sent through a request on the Martin and Co website and got a response from Sam - a letting agent from Martin and Co. Sam responded to me within hours of my initial query - and within days I had secured and apartment for my husband and I that met all our specifications. Being from South Africa - I was not able to view the apartment. Sam put my mind at ease and went to the apartment and took recent pictures of he apartment to send me. She also made recommendations to the landlord of what needed to be done - in order for the apartment to be handed over to me. (Cleanign etc). Sam was great and she described the apartment and all the furniture to me in detail. She was my eyes. Sam is one of the friendliest and most efficient rental agent I have ever worked with. She responded to every single one of my emails - answering every single one of my questions. This was all done within minutes of me sending her an email. Sam I thank you for all your help - and if anyone needs help to find any accommodation in Oxford - you will be highly recommended to them by me. I could not have asked for better service. This is a great agency with affordable good quality properties for rent. However, they could be more on top of their game by communicating better with each other as tenancy stages progress. The transition process from booking through to routine property management runs like a fairly smooth well-oiled machine. And the whole process (apart from handing over the keys) can be done remotely on a mobile phone. The people who work there are polite, professional and well grounded and that is surely the key ingredient to the success of the agency.
