This is a really inefficient, rude organisation. A relative looking to rent has come into contact with quite brash agents, who also seem to be a little condescending. One agent found it good practice to snap on the phone at potential clients, too. When looking for a bought property, I would certainly advise any connections not to deal with this branch. Perhaps we just dealt with the wrong team members, but I’m unconvinced.

Absolutely abysmal service for those looking to rent. Complete disregard and disinterest in safeguarding the tenants’ rights, they will support the landlord every time. Myself and the four others I lived with have vowed never to deal with Chancellors again, as their attitudes and approach to delivering customer service on the part of the tenant is non existent. They don’t care one iota about your rights as a tenant once they’ve been paid.

Chancellors headington estates-the most honest real estate agency you will deal with. We were dealt by Wasim Afsar and we would 100% recommend Wasim and the services that he provides and now we've had such an easy ride of buying we will certainly be back to use his services again some day. After suffering the loss of a parent, I had the difficult task, of selling the family home of more than 50 years. As you can imagine, an emotional time. After having a number of estate agents view the property, I met Angela from Chancellors and on first impressions felt, that she was the right person to handle the sale. After a conversation with my sisters, we outlined a number of restrictions, that made Angela's job very difficult. All the way through the sale, including a couple of last minute collapses, right through finding the perfect buyers, who ticked all our requests. It wasn't easy, but we were very well supported throughout. Once again thank you Angela and the team.

We have recently sold and purchased a house through Chancellors. Our main contact from the start was Charlie. We first enquired about a house that we was looking to buy. I had a call from Charlie and a viewing was booked for a few days later. Charlie was brilliant at communicating with us and met us with a smile a few days later at our potential new home. Upon arriving Charlie was very informative about the house we were viewing and was very friendly and chatty but professional. He showed us around and gave us as much info as he could regarding the property. We went back and viewed again a week later and put in an offer which to our delight was excepted. Charlie, also helped greatly with the sale of our home, so much so it was sold within 48 hrs of being on the market!! He has been at the end of the phone or email when we have needed him and responded in a very timely manner, extremely helpful and nothing has ever been to much trouble. The service was not the worst, neither was it the best. The person who showed us the property was on her phone texting about 90% of the duration we were there. We asked if the property was managed by Chancellors and she said yes, confidently. This was false; the property is NOT managed by the estate agent. Not as bad as it could be though, because the landlady happens to be nice.

We are currently selling our business through chancellors commercial,we had no real leads or decent viewings for quite a time until a lady phoned one day and introduced her self as Rachel and told me she was going to be taking over the sale for me, we had a good chat that day,and from that day we have had lots of actually interested people round to view the business, and Rachel has been very on the ball communication wise for viewings etc and I'm pleased to say we are now under offer and hoping to complete in the next few weeks.We Would defiantly recommend chancellors commercial and especially Rachel to take care of your business sale.

When I first considered placing my property on the market I was advised to try an Estate Agent which markets many properties in North Oxford and the Cotswolds. The Agent who came to visit the house ( a 2 bed 4 reception detached house in Heading Quarry) was not encouraging, rather dismissive, and suggested marketing it at a figure well below its valuation five years ago! I was not happy with this approach and invited Chancellors to look at it. When Angela Lessani arrived her attitude was entirely different; it was positive and encouraging and I knew I had got the right person to present the property to potential buyers. From that moment on she dwelt on the positive qualities of the house and succeeded in attracting a number of viewers. I have now sold the house & been deeply impressed by Angela's attitude throughout; always supportive & generous with sensible and practical advice and maintaining her belief in the property and its future. Many thanks Angela for your encouragement which has seen me through an experience which is stressful and can at times seem overwhelming. Well done.

Ive bought through Chancellors before, but buying an unusual construction, which is an HMO, into a company structure is about as difficult as it comes. Angela Lessani was fantastic. She kept the whole process moving quickly and found me a mortgage broker who could do it, a builder who was excellent, and kept both myself and the vendor informed and happy throughout - even when the HMO license ran out partway through the sale process and solicitors were less than efficient, Angela kept it going!

I had a number of properties to sell in Oxford, and spoke to a few different agents. Initially, I gave the job not to Chancellors, but to another agent. But Angela is an extraordinarily persistent person: she kept in touch to periodically ask how it was going. This persistence impressed me, and so, after a few months of many viewings, but no offers, I finally gave Chancellors the job. Interestingly, the number of viewings dropped. But, an offer came in almost immediately, then another, then another. It seems to me that Chancellors must operate an excellent filter system; keeping time wasters away. Within a very short period, they managed to sell all the properties.

I am basing the 5 star rating on Ciara Flaherty's services. She was excellent from start to finish, helping us find a house, supporting us throughout the process, and making sure that the purchase was completed properly. This was a complicated transaction because of some extenuating circumstances related to the house, but Ciara went above and beyond to make sure that the sale took place in the best possible way. A note to other potential buyers working with Chancellors', DO NOT use their "in-house" mortgage and solicitors services! I switched my mortgage advisor mid-way through the process, but made the mistake of staying with their Conveyancing team/Solicitors, and I regret it immensely. They were extremely slow or outright unresponsive to emails, which led to significant unnecessary delays. Once again, Ciara stepped up to liaise with the solicitors to get things done, but it was a cumbersome process, as I would have expected the solicitors to both communicate well and to speed up the process. As such, while I recommend Chancellors for properties, I would strongly advise against using their support teams.

I am specially greateful to Conor Taylor for replying emails so promptly and phone calls. Thanks to him we found a lovely place! I'm saddened that it's got to the point I have to leave this review.. Me and my partner have either been ignored completely or just given the run around by the headington branch. We made them aware that we have a time scale which is now nearly at an end and we've had hardly no help! I doubt even this review will get a response. If I knew that my customers felt this way about me id be heartbroken but apparently good customer service isn't something of value here. But on the other hand the kidlington branch I couldn't recommend more. They are the complete polar opposite to the headington branch and deserve recognition

While aggressive, desperate marketing appears to be the hallmark of the modern estate agent, avant-garde Chancellors appear determined to push this medium to its extremes. Having had the misfortune of purchasing my house through them, I decided against selling or letting my property with Chancellors after I moved out based on this experience, combined with the arrogance that exudes from their employees. Unfortunately, it seems I will now spend the rest of my life receiving near-daily emails and calls from Chancellors asking me to let my property with them. If Chancellors are to be believed, it seems almost every doctor in the country is clamouring at their door for the opportunity to rent my tiny one bedroom property. Update: amazingly, right after getting the below reply from Chancellors I got my daily phone call and email from Chancellors about yet more doctors wanting to rent my property. Lucky me!!! Update October 2021: oh god they've started harassing me again! This time phone calls because I am apparently interested in investment properties! I will now be reporting this rogue organisation to the Information Commissioner's Office for every attempt they make to contact me.
