Our experience with Carter Jonas Oxford was nothing short of exceptional We dealt primarily with Naomi whose experience and genial disposition was very evident as we weighed through a swathe of documentation, then Rachel took over with regards to the intimate dealings on the property itself , Rachel too was and has been to date exemplary in resolving small teething issues , a big Olympic style Gold Medal for both Naomi & Rachel and indeed other members of Carter Jonas with whom we had the privilege of communicating Helen too has been extremely efficient on the documentation pertaining to the financial side of the property transaction So a big hug of sincere gratitude to all concerned , we look forward to a long and harmonious relationship, thank you 🙏

We rented a property with Carter Jonas for the last 2 years and left the property recently. When we moved in to the property the carpets were horrendous and half of them had to be replaced within 6 months of us being there. When we left the property we paid for professional cleaners out of our own pocket and provided the receipt. Carter Jonas are now refusing to now communicate about the return of our deposit in full. The house was left in better condition than when we rented it. We replaced a number of things out of our own pocket whilst living there. We have currently raised a dispute with the TDS scheme to get our deposit back. Whenever I have rented from agents in the past my deposit has always been returned (within 10 working days) in full of the tenancy ending. They were exceptionally difficult about viewings on the property and knew we had a young baby and dog at home so we couldnt have people just walking around at random times. We originally gave specific dates and times for viewings which were completely ignored and the viewings were only changed when I refused access to the property. Great to rent from but awful to deal with afterwards! I have seen a number of comments asking people to get in touch through the feedback email address. Julia in the Oxford branch dealt with the sale of my property from start to finish. She was really efficient and professional, and came up with a different viewpoint to the other agents who valued the property. She also achieved the asking price (which was more than the other agents had valued the property at). During the conveyancing process Julia was fantastic, keeping calm throughout and going above and beyond to help push things through when dealing with a particularly tricky situation. I would recommend her to anyone selling in the area.

Excellent experience of property purchase with Carter Jonas and Kate McKinnon in particular. Communication was regular and supportive and Kate went out of her way to liaise between agents, solicitors and the seller to maintain communication across the chain and speed things up when there were any steps that were slowing things down. Kate's colleagues were also professional and reliable at passing on messages and returning calls if Kate was out of the office. I would certainly instruct Carter Jonas in the future for sales or lettings and would feel reassured purchasing a property managed by them.

Whilst they do say that buying a house and moving is one of the most stressful things one can do, we had a rather different experience. Our contact - Julia was excellent. On the ball in terms of chasing all involved parties (surveyors, solicitors, us & vendors) and had typically done the chase before it has even been requested. Couldnt really fault carter jonas but the reference company they use is appalling! Provided blinc with everything they requested from day 1 and just wasn’t enough. Was very stressful for us and ended in upset ending as there was no valid reason to being denied it felt like excuses. I felt as carter jonas could of done more for us towards the end but we ended up with an email basically saying they have moved on to the next person interested in the property (same day) which was very disappointing! We really wanted the property which is really frustrating when we are genuine people who tried absolutely everything to get the property

Couldn't fault them. After 7 months with an agent who more or less ignored us and rarely provided us with feedback it was a joy to work with Carter Jonas. Our sales associate provided more leads, and viewings, and always followed all viewings up and gave us feedback so that we know where we stood. We ended up with 4 buyers competing to sell their houses first, what more could one want. Our sales associate was also quickly responsive once the sale started negotiating and again facilitated the smooth progress to exchange and completion. We would undoubtedly use Carter Jonas again.
