Barbara Haddock - the BEST!!!!

I have recently moved house and Thomas Brown Estates was the agent for property i was purchasing. Barbara Haddock, part of the progression team in the Orpington branch is the reason i am writing my first ever trustpilot review. She was absolutely FANTASTIC! Moving is super stressful and everyone else involved in the chain was useless, except for Barbara. She was so helpful, so clear and just a god send when stress levels are through the roof. If everyone was as good as Barbara the move process would have been wrapped up in about a week! Thanks so mcuh Barbara you are a star!

From the start of the process of selling my Mother's house all the staff at Thomas Brown Estates have been very helpful and excellent with communication with myself. All queries were responded to and they also liaised with the Solicitors on my behalf when required. A particular thanks so Shane from the Progression Team who was outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to assist new clients if they wish to sell their property. We cannot thanks them all enough for their support with the sale of our property which at times became problematic not with Thomas Brown but with the Solicitors I did give feedback regarding my experience with them on Trust Pilot

Great Estate Agents

Thomas Brown found us a buyer within 4 weeks and we got very close to asking price. We couldn't be happier. Chris did an excellent job on our photos and had a real eye for detail, going the extra mile to move items. Helen was fantastic when it came to the last weeks, pushing for dates and liasing with all the buyers, agents and solicitors. Very courteous and helpful staff

Very courteous and helpful staff. Viewing were arranged very rapidly and quick feedback post review. We had the offer we accepted on the 2 day on the market. Other agents did give us higher valuation but we felt it was a question of waiting a longer period for the right buyers to come along or put it on the market at a reasonable price. We chose the latter and are very satisfied with the service. Special thanks to Helen, who was very very helpful during the post offer stage.

Sale of our house in Orpington BR6

Thomas Brown were very good at the beginning of the process and were marketing the house very quickly after we had signed the contract with them. The pictures and brochures were good and they got the energy rating sorted very quickly. We had over 15 viewings over a fairly short period. We were away from home for an appreciable part of the viewings process but never had any problems while this was taking place. Disappointingly we didn't have any offers until we had lowered the original price appreciably and even then the final offer was lower than our final sales price. That said the market was very bad for our price house over the period. Also the house that we acquired was reduced in price appreciably from the original amount so the conditions for houses of that price were generally very difficult. In terms of progression after offer acceptance Helen was excellent. 9 weeks from offer to completion is very good and she was always completely on the ball throughout the process.In general I would recommend Thomas Brown and thought they did a good job in difficult marketing conditions.

Initially we thought to go with an online estate agency, but because we are not selling properties very often decided not to risk it and went with the High Street agent, as wanted to get it done right. Chose Thomas Brown for their competitive price and the level of service they provide.We didn't regret it for a single moment - it was an absolutely fantastic journey from the beginning to the very end. Viewings went very smoothly as everyone from the Thomas Brown team knew a lot about our property. What can I say!! We have finally moved into our new flat! Believe or not the first property we actually viewed is becoming home. Thomas Brown have been absolutely amazing from start to finish. Sale of our property. June 17

We had had our property on the market for nearly 2 years, had 35 viewings but no offers. we had 6 agents come to view and value the property and chose to go with Thomas Brown Estates.Christopher Jenkins came round to value our property and advised us not to change anything. We were impressed with his knowledge of things that would make the house more saleable that we had not thought of and how to position our property. We also liked his enthusiasm and pragmatic approach.The brochure produced was first class with much better photos than previous agents.We had 6 viewings within 4 days and more importantly 3 acceptable offers from those viewings.Helen Miles handled the sale of our property and was superb. She took on many tasks that in my opinion other agents in the “ chain " should have been doing. We were at risk of losing the sale but Helen cajoled all parties to get their act together, and even cancelled her day off to ensure we exchanged as planned. Completion was very smooth. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you all for your commitment, determination and hard work!

House purchase satisfaction

Purchased a house in Orpington through these guys. No issue with viewings as easy to arrange. Even when it all started to go wobbly over price it was sorted in hours. Helen was great on keeping on top of communication channels right up to day of completion. My only little quibble was finding out I had to collect keys from office when sat in an overloaded van outside of house. Other that that all plain sailing and would use again
