When I was considering selling my house, I looked carefully at other agents in Orpington before choosing Thomas Brown, and was delighted with my choice. The presentation of the house was excellent on paper and online, the agents who accompanied viewings were knowledgeable about the property and the area, and the office was easy to contact. Helen the Sales Progressor kept me fully up to date and dealt professionally with all that came her way. Thanks to Thomas Brown I am now happily settling into my new home.

We were kept updated on the progress of the sale on a regular basis, which was very reassuring. All technical matters, including the questions asked by the solicitors were explained to us and at times the buyer was contacted directly when the solicitors asked questions which seemed unnecessary.Thomas Brown Estates looked after us when a failed buyer, who had tried lowering the price well below that offered at the last minute, realised he had made a serious mistake and started to seriously pester us.We ended up achieving the full asking price and the offer from our successful buyer was made and accepted the day the property went back on the market.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Thomas Brown Estate. From the start they provided me with information and kept me updated on choices of properties through there user friendly website. The staff are all friendly, approachable, and patient. Aimee was great showing me around the property on my first and third visit, but my favorite person was Helen in the after sales team, she was my guiding angel and a great support from the start. Helen was there with me all the way and helped me through the ups and downs, when there was things I did not understand, or needed help to resolve with others. My own Agent was basically invisible throughout the whole process, so a massive thanks to you Helen and the Thomas Brown Team. I now have my dream home. I will consider taking up the 10% discount if I decide to sell but I doubt it very much. Lol.....Thank you Thomas Brown Estate.

We found Thomas Brown to be extremely professional, helpful and friendly throughout the whole buying and selling process. During the selling stage Amy and Jason were at our house almost as much as we were showing potential buyers around. And after the sale Helen was very active in the progression to exchange and then completion. It felt as if we were her only client although that can’t have been the case. We would absolutely recommend Thomas Brown to anyone and would have given them more than 5 stars if that had been possible

Having been on with an internet based agent for 10 weeks with no offers and very little contact, I felt we were never going to move and was close to giving up! Chris told me things would be different with Thomas Brown and how right he was. Loads more viewings, plenty of contact and they sold it in 2 weeks at asking price. Very terrible service from Thomas Brown.Refused to book an appointment to view one of their houses. They said that our current house needs to be on the market and under offer for us to be allowed to view. I’ve never heard such arrogant comments before. Other estate agents booked us in without question.When I questioned their policy I was told that’s just how it is with them.They seem to think they are the only agents around. Every other agents I spoke to couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating. Immediately booked 3 viewings without hassle. Will not recommend or use them again.
Dear Mr LeeWe are sorry you have felt the need to leave a negative review. Just to clarify, our policy is that if you need to sell a property in order to buy onwards, your property needs to be actively on the market, it does not need to be under offer as you mentioned. This policy is not unusual among agents, far more agents have this policy than do not. The reason for it is very high numbers of applicants in this position never actually come to market at all. Viewings are a big overhead to both the agent, and the vendor who needs to prepare the property and often vacate. Some vendors stipulate they only want viewings from ‘proceedable’ applicants, so those that are on the market and under offer - if there is a property to sell, however that was not the case in this instance.We wish you all the best in your property search.RegardsDavid Thomas Branch Partner
