Sales negotiators lazy, belligerent, flippant and dismissive with a poor attitude

Sales negotiators lazy, dismissive, flippant and belligerent with no interest in doing any work to actually sell properties.Asked for material information on a property available after being unsold at auction twice on multiple occasions that was not provided in the paperwork and was simply told if it’s not in their paperwork then they don’t have it!I literally had to spell out that their job was a sales negotiator and if the information wasn’t there, then they pull their finger out and ask the seller for it! It is this kind of attitude shown by staff then it should be nipped in the bud rather than allowed to perpetuate and lose future sales!Follow up: how do you expect anyone to negotiate on a property when you cannot provide imperative information? Do you just expect them to pay your 6k fees and suck it and see? Highly unlikely given as your small print makes it in non-refundable and negates you from all liability regardless of whatever comes out in the wash later!

He went above and beyond the call of duty even returning our calls when he was on holiday. Amazing auction company

Amazing auction company. From the off, they had a personal and friendly approach. This ranged from the Valuer to the office staff. Couldn't have done it without them

We recently bought our property, a former bank, through SDL after it had failed to meet its reserve at auction. Although we were not the only party interested in buying the bank, from our first enquiry to the exchange of contracts the team at SDL Nottingham, principally Sam Rashid the Regional Sales Manager, were very helpful, sympathetic to our wishes and helped us to navigate the somewhat different process of buying after auction when compared with a sale through an Estate Agent. We agree with other reviewers when they say that SDL went beyond the call of duty throughout the process. They kept us fully informed at every stage of the negotiations and were always happy to help with our repeated requests to view the property even after we had exchanged. Nick and Tim were particularly helpful with our onsite viewing. Nothing was too much trouble for the Nottingham Team. We felt they always they had our best interests at heart.

Professional Service Each Time

We’ve purchased through SDL a couple of times now and on each occasion it has been a smooth process. The staff are professional, efficient and knowledgeable but a special mention is needed for Sam Rashid who has worked with us not only in the two purchases made but on other enquiries regarding properties of interest. She has always been exceptionally helpful and gone the extra mile to keep us in the loop on sales progression and has even been attentive in communication following completion. PROFESSIONAL SERVICE FROM SDL

First time selling a house through auction and it was extremely easy with SDL. Jessica was my POC from SDL and was excellent - she chased things up with the letting agents and solicitors throughout the process to ensure that the sale was completed within 40 days of the initial offer being accepted. Also used the solicitors (Switalskis) recommended by SDL who were very good. Costs were straightforward and the sale was extremely quick. HORRENDOUS- LIES and COVER UP

Where do I start? We agreed to purchase a property before the auction. Unfortunately, I was in critical care in the hospital at the time, so my partner was managing the offer. An agreement was reached, and that’s when the untoward and aggressive conduct began.SDL relentlessly pursued my partner, contacting him 10 to 12 times per day, pressuring him to agree to an exchange, much to their denial however emails, texts and voicemails prove otherwise.Under normal circumstances, this might not have been an issue, but given our situation, it was evident that he was pressed for time. He informed Jazmin at SDL to ensure that I was added to the purchase details, as I was not included in the initial documentation.Jazmin added my name to the contract but failed to notify me of any additional fees, share the legal pack (despite requiring registration to access it), or inform us of all subsequent costs. Instead, she only addressed the deposit and the buyer's fee, which we were aware of and paid without issue.Without our authorisation, Jazmin proceeded to exchange contracts, despite sending two separate emails requesting confirmation before doing so. Furthermore, she informed the sellers and my solicitors that completion had been set for eight days later, again without our consent. My solicitors were understandably disturbed by this conduct and had to allocate extra resources to manage the overwhelming amount of work in such a short period, incurring additional costs for us.Two days before completion, we were informed that the sellers were not in a position to complete and were also unexpectedly told that we were responsible for their solicitors' fees and an auction fee, despite the fact that the auction had not taken place. This was immediately questioned with Jazmin, who could not explain why she had omitted this critical information.She later claimed that this would be detailed in the legal pack, the very legal pack she failed to share with me or verify that I had received. By her own admission, she acknowledged that I had not received it. When I questioned the auction fee, given that I had already paid a buyer's fee, she informed us that the auction fee was to cover costs on the day of the auction. I reiterated that the house had not gone to auction and that a pre-auction sale had been agreed upon, she could not justify the fee.They proceeded to badge the auction fee as a buyers fee in their response to my subsequent complaint - however these are two seperate fees. The buyers fee we paid was £3,500, they also charged an auction fee of £1,650 for an auction that didn’t take place! Unfortunately they were unable to justify or acknowledge that point. Moreover, she could not explain why the sellers had included their solicitors' fees without informing me. Naturally, a complaint was raised when we were confronted with an additional £6,000 in fees that had been withheld from us, in addition to the extra legal fees incurred because Jazmin had instructed a completion date without authorization, well before the deadline to complete.The response to our complaint was riddled with poor excuses and flawed justifications, leading to this matter being escalated for external intervention. The negligence we have encountered must be addressed, as it poses a significant risk to others who may fall victim to this type of unprofessional conduct.In conclusion, the actions taken by SDL and Jazmin not only demonstrate a shocking level of negligence but also highlight serious legal implications. Compliance with duty of care is paramount in any professional setting, and failure to uphold this duty can lead to severe consequences. This issue will not simply go away; we are prepared to take robust legal action against this unprofessional conduct to ensure accountability and protect others from similar experiences.
