All the staff were very professional…

All the staff were very professional and helpful from start to finish. In particular Lucy Crapper who helped us through the whole process. She is extremely professional, clearly at the top of her game, and she achieved a price far better than we expected. She personally did all the viewings which we thought made a massive difference to help the sale go through. I would only ever use and recommend this Company in the future for this type of sale.

I’ve never had any property auctioned before, so I have no other experience to compare this with, but as far as I can see, it was very smooth and the house sold for a lot more than the estimated price, which I was obviously very pleased about. The staff were all very helpful, as I had no clue about the process, and they guided me through everything with patience. I had been dreading the whole auction process, but they made it as painless as possible, and relieved a lot of my stress, especially as it was very upsetting to be having to sell my childhood home after almost 50 years there. That was the kind of support I needed. Thanks very much!

WITHOUT PREJUDICE. I will be honest. A 3 bedroom house which is (leasehold) with a sitting tenant sold on another auction for £195,000 in 2023. Now value of the property is worth £205,000. Which I call Justice. On the same row of houses another 3 bedroom house which is (freehold) with a sitting tenant (which should have sold on vacant possession) on a higher price sold on this auction for such a low price of £104,000 last year November 2025. Which I find injustice. It wasn't outside people responsible but my own blood brother and sister who caused this injustice to cause me the (beneficiary) financial loss in my share of estate. It wasn't outsiders but those people close to my family who knew my family who joined in to cause this injustice. When your own family members cause you harm and damage in the past and then come back years later to cause further damage in your family estate just shows what length they will go to cause that damage. The auction that sold the property didn't even once think is this justice to sell a popular property with a front drive way and a separate garage in a well located area at a price that is even lower than a 2 bedroom flat on the same road? Was getting wages for selling a property for this auction more important than the damage caused to the property sale and the loss caused to a beneficiary? Well the damage is now caused. Who is going to pay for the damages? As a law abiding citizen morals, principles, loyalty and integrity mean everything to me which some people will never understand. My request now is for a full investigation of my family estate and to take action on those responsible of causing the damage. My final honest answer to this auction is why would this auction have my name on their record I'm not the one responsible of selling the 3 bedroom house in a popular location on such a low price. I'm not responsible of this injustice I've witnessed now am I? If anyone should be devastated or disappointed it should be me who has had the most loss and damage caused to me financially not this auction or those who are responsible of selling the property on this auction. They question a crime investigator who investigates those who play around with the justice system, who commit wrongful actions and crimes and has witnessed many who have committed crimes walk away free. The injustice I have witnessed in life one thing I have learnt from the cases I have investigated to find out about peoples character watch their actions very carefully because actions speak louder than words.That's how I get my answer. Hard to sell house sold by Eddisons.

After trying to sell a very hard to sell house via the usual estate agent route I decided to use Eddisons to auction it. James Vandenbrook was extremely efficicient and explained the auction process to me. James always returned my calls/emails and kept me updated. Eddisons conducted the viewings which was useful. The whole thing was easy, clear and straightforward. I put trust in James's knowledge as an auction expert and the house sold for more than expected. I give it a provisional 3

I give it a provisional 3 because I am only just into the process of buying for the first time. Nothing bad has happened and I'm so far satisfied with the price I have paid. There is a risk element as some vital info was unobtainable before I bid so it's a case of basing choices on whatever you can glean. Insuring a property to which you have no access you are not able to answer vital questions or give reassurances about whether the property will be inspected internally between exchange and completion. The guide pricing was a bit crazy and I spent hours researching a plot of land guided at £15,000 which sold for £150,000. In the end I bid on 8 properties, 7 of which went way beyond the guide price. The staff at SDL are helpful, but unfortunately they don't have all the info required by the insurance companies. If all goes well and if the seller makes sure nothing happens to it for the next 6 weeks, I'd up my rating to 4*. I guess SDL assume that everyone is a seasoned developer who knows the ropes and not a nervous first-timer.

Wow very surprised with this property auction Had been bidding on a property in a auction was the runner up on the property and the original bidder decided not to take the property which was then offered to me which I was happy to take. After a number of phone calls with Chris back and forth on a Thursday with a deposit to be taken on Friday no deposit taken to then get a phone call on a Monday for them to say the original buyer decided to change his mind. How is this the correct way to run business What a total waste of time and effort I would strongly recommend to avoid this auction. Chris you are an absolute joke! I do hope they mess you around again.

Auction sale 3 bed semi

I had a 3-bed semi to sell that needed some renovation work, so i decided to try an auction sale through BTG Eddisons. I really wanted a quick sale and a reasonable price for the property. I contacted Eddisons about 6 weeks before my target auction date of 30/04/2026. Robert Stone visited the house, explained the process and we agreed on a guide and reserve price that would attract a number of bidders. I cleared the house and Robert came to photograph and set up the sale particulars on their website and rightmove. My solicitors completed the auction pack about 2-3 weeks prior to the auction date. The property sold at Auction for a price that was at the top of my expectations, so I was very satisfied. Throughout the process Robert and his BTG colleagues kept me informed at all stages and it has been a seamless process and much easier than I thought it would be.

Sold a property a few months ago. Scott Light valued the property and took care of everything right up to the date of the auction. He was polite, professional and extremely pro active. His advice seemed always to be of high quality. He always responded immediately to any queries even making himself available to answer calls in the evening. We would give more than 5 stars if we could.SDL generally were significantly better than I expected them to be and in my opinion are a lot better than many other estate agents.Post Auction we dealt with Steph who also exceeded our expectations and pro actively dealt with what turned out to be something of a roller coaster ride (no fault of SDL) to a successful completion.Based on my experience of this and other sales the auction process is far superior to the typical open market / estate agent option albeit the seller must be realistic on achievable price. From the moment you decide to market, you could be completing in 6-8 weeks and when the hammer goes down you have exchanged contracts at that moment. Highly efficient process. No waiting 6 months for solicitors to preside over insignificant detail!I would 100% recommend using SDL for an auction sale.
