GoogleAvoid Loc8me at all costs. The flat had severe mould, damp, broken ventilation and an insect infestation from the day I moved in, and months later the problems still weren’t resolved. Even after the council issued legal requirements for repairs, Loc8me ignored parts of the report and even claimed the council had “misinterpreted” their own inspection.
Communication was a nightmare, wrong dates, missed appointments, contradictory information, and less than 24 hours’ notice for major works. Contractors repeatedly turned up with no idea what they were actually booked for. I was even told works would go ahead “whether I’m there or not,” which is completely unacceptable.
This tenancy has caused constant stress, health issues, and disruption. Easily the worst property management I’ve ever experienced. I would never recommend renting with Loc8me.

Moreover, my tenancy with them was just for 3 months during which I have taken care of my room well and even cleaned the mold that was there when I moved in. It has now been 10 months since the tenancy ended and they have not yet refunded any deposit.

Absolutely appalling company, avoid them like the plague. From Maryam preventing us from speaking on the group chat, to passive aggressive messages and phone calls, this company is totally useless. Our requests to fix issues such as the plumbing, along with dangerous issues such as the dishwasher literally electrocuting us, have been responded to by patronising statements from Caitlyn describing our complaints as "vague". Furthermore, we were mis-informed as to the location of the bedrooms and the size of our living area. This misleading type of behaviour demonstrates the corrupt and completely incompetent practices from the people Loc8me employs.I've come to the realisation that living on the rough streets of Manchester is more attractive than living under the suppressive rule from the shitshow of a company, Loc8me.

Avoid at all costs.I have been a guarantor for all my children at universities cities across the country, including Durham. These people want a ridiculous level of personal information from you. For example, they want copies of the title deeds for your property.Yet at the same time they provide no evidence for anything they say they do.They claim that they use MyDeposit to keep deposits safe, yet provide no contract or certificate to prove that.They say that they keep all the very personal data you have supplied secure, yet provide no evidence or explanation of how that is executed.They are difficult to get hold of, the phone number is never answered, and to top it all they use 'jokey' unprofessional email addresses like 'hello at loc8me".Looking through the very long list of 1 star reviews you can see how little they are concerned about customer complaints. In many responses to complaints the wording is just copied from the previous entry. Sadly I am stuck with them, but hopefully this review will save you from being stuck with them to.
