Melissa is a breath of fresh air. She provided me with professional, factual and community information in a way that endeared her properties locations to me. I now feel drawn to rent and then purchase in this area trusting Melissa would help me find a home at the right time. Although, I'm not in a position to buy yet, this didn't dampen Melissa's enthusiasm and eagerness to answer all the questions I had. I will seek Melissa out when I'm ready to buy and recommend her for your purchasing experience too. Your home after all, is the most expensive and stressful purchase you'll ever make. Clearly, Melissa understands the value of building rapport and trust with potential customers so good business will inevitably follow. Melissa is a credit to the industry.

Claire was friendly, professional and honest, and we really appreciated her showing us around the property twice. She allowed us to take our time to make our own minds up but also was very knowledgeable about the property and had the answers we needed about a potentially complex renovation project.

Andy was friendly, helpful and didn't rush me to put the house on the market after the photos were taken. There was very little feedback from Ocean from those dozen people who visitedt our property so no idea whether first time visit, or a repeat. House sold quickly, at advertised price, but buyers after surveyors report wanted to knock £25,000 off the price. I felt the agreed price by Ocean was fair, but felt a lack of support and enthusiasm to push the buyers into paying the amount I'd agreed on. After months of waiting for buyers various reports, they still wanted £25,000 off for no good reason. When Julie was there, I felt she was fully on my side, and after weeks of stress it was finally agreed at £10,000 less than original asking price, which included an estimate for a chimney problem I had offered to pay for at the beginning. Laura had a tough job with the conveyancing both with the buyers and our sellers, and did an excellent job in the light of so many difficulties.

Our property sold very quickly, so I can't comment too much on that side (except that Sam and the team were very friendly and helpful in all communications!). But the real star for us was our move manager Sadie. We had a long chain (5 houses), where we were in the middle, and Sadie was great at chasing all the solicitors and keeping us informed of the progress. Unfortunately we had a last minute change of dates, and Sadie was key to getting the new date agreed quickly, and as completion approached she was keeping an eye on things for us even on a day off, so truly went above and beyond! We would definitely recommend Sadie and the whole Ocean team.

First of all, I was happy with the original valuation of the property, which sold at asking price. The sales process was long, and complicated by one or two factors outside anybody's control, but Jamie and Sadie were extremely helpful throughout, keeping me informed, always available to help with any queries and really going above and beyond to make the whole process run as smoothly as it could in the circumstances. Don’t expect your deposit back. Still waiting to hear back on our deposit being returned over 5 weeks after leaving the property. Agent is totally not interested and just says “we are awaiting the landlord”. Tenant Deposit Scheme states deposit should be returned within 10 days of vacating

Melissa was fabulous. There were some very slow inquiries sat with Oceans clients solicitor. Melissa continuously did everything in her power to chase up often calling as soon as she’d put the phone down to me and ringing me straight back with updates.There were a few hitches towards their end with agreeing completion date and indemnity policies etc but Melissa helped us through it all. Thank you for all your efforts and time - very much appreciated!

Jemima & James @ Ocean have been absolutely fantastic in the whole process of both offering and moving me into my new rental property. From the very beginning I met James who showed me around the property which I literally fell in love with immediately and expressed my interest in securing it. James was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the process and came back to me so quickly with the offer. I wanted to move in quickly and both James & Jemima did their best to meet my date requirements which was fantastic. They both went above and beyond with my additional requests. The process was pretty smooth considering I am new to the rental market. Upon handover I met Jemima for the first time. What a lovely young lady! She was so friendly, understanding and knowledgeable and explained everything on the move date. There were lots of follow up calls to check in on me and any issues have been picked up immediately for resolution. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a lovely experience. I love where I live and am really happy. I would love to deal with them again, if only everyone was this helpful. Thanks guys you are both amazing!

Ocean have earned their money from us - we have been selling my Mum's house for over a year and it completed last Friday on the 3rd sale. A bumpy ride at times, but house selling is a stressful process. Some personalities at Ocean easier to deal with than others, but the contacts we eventually worked with were really friendly and helpful and gave the impression they genuinely cared. A special mention to Nicola the 'Move Manager'. I was sceptical to start with, but what an asset she was. She kept everything moving along with the sale, quickly chasing up any tardiness. It was encouraging to have someone to regularly check in with, especially when not much seemed to be happening. But we got their in the end - thank you.

Simon and the team were very friendly, and helped with all aspects of choosing a new mortgage for our house purchase (we were selling and buying). Simon also helped us through all the options of mortgage protection (life cover and income protection) - these were clearly explained, and it made the process of choosing the various covers much more straight forward. We would highly recommend, and will definitely use Simon for remortgaging etc in future!

After looking at several companies to help me with my mortgage, I settled on Ocean Estate Agents as they were recommended to me and I could not be happier with my experience. Luigi was my mortgage advisor and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly diligent throughout the whole process, always available to discuss any questions I had and made the entire process as seamless as possible. As a first-time buyer, this experience was quite daunting so I was very grateful to have one less thing to worry about and I really felt that Luigi made the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible, I could not recommend Ocean more!!

Ocean was the second estate agent I used and were very professional and upfront on charges. There were plenty of viewings which were all booked with plenty of notice. Had an offer within 6 weeks. Kept informed at all stages of the process.I also used Ocean Lawyers which made the process smoother. There was regular communication and any issues that arose were swiftly and promptly dealt with.I would definitely recommend Ocean and would use them again .

A great experience from start to finish. Communication from everyone at Ocean was professional, timely and informative. Curtis took us smoothly through the initial marketing process before passing over to Move Manager Lauren who kept us updated throughout the sale. Using Ocean’s in-house conveyancing team made things really easy as everything was under one roof, and again Lily and the team were a pleasure to deal with - nothing like the usual narrative around solicitors. Staff helped us to navigate a few challenges elsewhere in the chain as we got nearer to exchange and completion, again keeping us updated and offering reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Estate Agents and Ocean Property Lawyers, and in fact have already done so which has resulted in friends listing their properties with Ocean! Our vendors’ estate agent also commented on how good Ocean were to deal with.

So if there was an issue of something needing fixing, she is there immediately organising the fixing of it. Louise is also happy to negotiate new contracts, acting fairly but impartially between landlord and renter. We can't thank her and Ocean Lettings enough. We needed to find a new solicitor who would handle the challenging sale of our late parents leasehold independent living property in Portishead. It was a very stressful time for us but we found the staff at Ocean extremely helpful and empathetic. Their online portal was a little frustrating to begin with but once set up it was a great way to view the progress of the sale, communicate with the team and keep files all together. Our conveyancing team worked really hard to get our sale completed within the tight timescale and kept us informed throughout the process. Thank you to Karen and everyone involved. GoogleI would in particular like to thank Matt, Paul and Claire at Ocean for their property know how, hard work and wizardry. They were instrumental in negotiating an incredibly good price on the sale of my parent’s home. During Lockdown, they stepped up and helped our family at a very difficult time, my Mum had just died of anaphylaxis and my brother had recently received a terminal cancer diagnosis and not given long to live. They were wonderful, taking the worry and pressure of the sale off my brother, who’d taken on the responsibility. It was a complex process, involving many houses in a chain. They skilfully managed the sale with ease, expertise and a lightness of touch which impressed my brother, who isn’t so ready with praise. My brother, my Dad and myself were deeply grateful for their involvement, resulting in a successful sale which I believe contributed to his peaceful departure. Two years later, I too was immensely grateful again to Matt, who helped me find a buy to let in Portishead. I’d be looking on Rightmove for over 6 months and was becoming more and disheartened. I approached Matt at Ocean, who within no time, found me a gorgeous place. It far exceeded my expectations. It was so well loved, cared for and I in turn loved it. I credit Matt for being the linchpin in securing not just financial, but also emotional stability for my son and me. He’s created peace of mind which is a huge deal at a time when decisions made concerning hearth, home and potential investments make a significant difference to a sense of security and quality of life. I’d also like to thank Keith at Ocean for being fantastic in helped navigate me through the letting process and for finding a wonderful family for my rental home. I’d worked hard to set it up as a holiday rental but realised that financially this was an insecure venture for me over the winter months. I felt very reassured after speaking to Keith who gave me a good understanding of the letting options they offer. After investing so much time and energy setting up the property, I decided that I was done. I now wanted to be as free as possible of any responsibilities and opt for a more stress free life without the need to deal with difficulties, concerns or any legal issues if they should arise. Keith clearly has a wealth of experience and knowledge and dealing with him which has been a very pleasant and positive experience. It makes me very happy knowing that my rental home is in good hands.
