The agent made an appointment for a property valuation but didn't show, and didn't communicate to reschedule/cancel or say they'd be late. 2 * as I managed to get some info from them by email. But this ruined my plans. Ocean don't care and its evidence they don't deliver on their promises, when it matters. Avoid!

He has unfortunately been off work with norovirus and was unable to contact you personally at the time. He asked a colleague to call and explain the situation and to rearrange the appointment for later in the week; however, it appears that the calls were unable to connect. We fully understand how disappointing this must have been, and we are very sorry that this impacted your plans. I rented through Oceans Agency and unfortunately had a series of experiences that left me and my flatmate feeling unsafe, unheard, and now still out of pocket months after moving out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you left the tenancy feeling dissatisfied and appreciate the opportunity to respond. Firstly, we acknowledge your comments regarding the reported occupant concerns. Having reviewed the matter, we accept there may have been opportunities for us to provide clearer guidance on the evidence required at an earlier stage. However, as this related to a tenant-sharing arrangement rather than a straightforward tenancy breach, any investigation relied heavily on information and evidence provided by those involved. While we appreciate the effort you made to document the dates, additional supporting evidence would have been required for us to take further action. Regarding rent arrears, all tenants named on a tenancy agreement are jointly and severally liable for the tenancy obligations, including rent payments. As a result, our policy is to notify all tenants, and where applicable guarantors, when arrears arise, regardless of which individual may have underpaid. With regard to the move-out date, our records show that the correspondence confirming the end-of-tenancy arrangements stated a 9:00am check-out time. We apologise if there was any misunderstanding surrounding this. In relation to your deposit, we appreciate that waiting for the process to conclude can be frustrating. As managing agents, we act on behalf of the landlord, while the tenancy agreement itself is between the tenants and the landlord. We are currently liaising with the landlord to finalise any proposed deductions and obtain the supporting information required. As the deposit remains protected within the relevant tenancy deposit scheme, we cannot release funds to either party without the appropriate agreement or instructions. Equally, we cannot make deductions on behalf of the landlord without following the correct process. Should an agreement not be reached, the deposit scheme provides a free independent dispute resolution service for all parties. We understand that this has taken longer than you expected and are continuing to work with the landlord to obtain the final figures as quickly as possible so that the matter can be concluded.

Sold our house with Ocean, Portishead. I cannot recommend them enough. Demi in particular was incredible with sales progression and liaised with other agents and also solicitors to ensure things went smoothly from all directions of the chain. She went above and beyond and all staff in the Portishead office were fantastic. Communication was excellent throughout and if I move again, I would use them without hesitation. We also used the Ocean solicitors and Claire was amazing too. So pleased with our choice. Thank you to everyone at Portishead Ocean.

We used solicitor from the Oceans Bradley Stoke office when buying a property recently. The service we received or actually the lack of it was very poor. The communication during the process was non existent. Took ages to get any issues sorted. Were given wrong information on the property and after the completion we were completely ignored! Constantly were sent wrong invoices to pay. Very stressful process and they made it much worse! Awful firm and not cheap. AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!!

From start to finish Kyra has been absolutely amazing. When viewing the property, she had such a friendly welcoming and enthusiastic attitude and such a bright smile on her face. After viewing the property. Kyra was on top form with sending through our application forms & also rapid with any concerns we had regarding the property making sure that anything was resolved and anything unsure about she would instantly forward us to Keith, who was also superb. All in all, a big thank you to Kyra & the rest of the ocean team for being such a great help - couldn’t fault any of you :) what an amazing start to the new year.

I recently found an apartment with Ocean Estate Agents and was very well assisted by Amelia. I'm from France, on my own, and this is the first time I've moved to another country.Amelia was very responsive and was with me from start to finish. She always responded very kindly to all my questions and calls. I think I was one of the most demanding people for her. But she never made me feel it. Especially with the language barrier and the stress I was under with this whole unknown situation.I'd also like to thank Naomi who was also very present and adaptive at the end about the latency I had with the deposit transfer.I couldn't have hoped for better support.Good luck and thanks again!

Really pleased with the service we have received from Ocean. Steve was at our house quickly for a valuation following my initial enquiry, and he was so quick at getting the ball rolling. We were online with a couple of days, he told us exactly what to expect and had lots of useful insights about the market and what to expect in the process (this was our first time selling). Mike and Emma did most of the viewings and were great at keeping us in the loop with the feedback from potential buyers. The star of the show has been Melissa however, she has been amazing at keeping momentum and going back and forth between both solicitors and our buyers. Throughout the process we have felt well informed about what stage we are at and what needs to happen next. Melissa has always responded to our calls and emails promptly, she has been super friendly and personable and she’s brilliant at her job!Thank you!!
