I had the pleasure of dealing with Lawrence Charles of the Newbury branch for a flat purchase nearby. He showed me around a few properties before I decided on the one I wanted to buy He was always very helpful, quick to respond and very flexible in order to meet my requirements and made the whole process run really smooth I was a first time buyer and he was very patient with all of the questions that I had and always explained every step of the process clearly to me. Another point is he always very good with communicating information and always kept me in the loop with anything I needed to be aware of Thanks Lawrence (and Chancellors!)

My partner and I decided to sell our house with chancellors and from the our first meeting with Luke we felt assured our property was going to be in good hands, The timely manner of which Luke and his team (Lawrence & Sally) was impeccable, with each progressive stage of the selling process communicated to us in a reassuring friendly way. Not once did we feel let down nor left in the dark with what was going on, and when needed there was always someone at the end of the phone to answer our questions. The service we received was second to none and can not recommend chancellors (newbury) enough to sell your home.

We just moved out of a property managed by chancellors, the agency and most of the staff working there are extremely incapable, downright unhelpful, with the exception of Isabelle Smyth - Senior Property Manager, so this 5 star goes to her and her only. She remained kind, polite and professional at all situations, was super helpful and where all others failed went out of her way to assist us with our queries. She deserves the recognition, if it wasn't for her we would have had a much worse experience than we did. Thanks Isabelle!

I only have good words to say about Chancellors. They initially guided me step by step through the process of renting out my flat (thank you Susan). And most recently Lawrence has been absolutely fantastic in finding me a buyer who has bought the flat with the tenant in situ. He totally held his nerve for me throughout the entire process and managed to secure me a great price. Customer service both in the branch and in the back office - both sales and lettings is perfect.

Edited review. Really thought these guys were going to help me find a property to let. Turns out they think it’s acceptable to rearrange a viewing the day before without asking if it’s ok first. I had already confirmed the viewing in the morning! I can’t understand why these agents think we can drop everything see a property. I work for a living! I have already arranged things with work to come to the viewing and my partner was leaving work in London too. No returning my call either. Very disappointing and will not be using these guys. I’ll find a more reliable agents.

They’re very happy to take your money but if you want any help after, good luck! Utterly hopeless at responding to phone calls and emails. It’s a miracle if you manage to get through to the Newbury branch rather than some poor sod in their head office who can only promise to get you an ‘urgent callback’. I suggest they look up what urgent means. Unfortunately, this awful company has a monopoly on rentals in Newbury 😞 Edit: I have spoken to one of the directors who apologised for the poor communication. Let's hope things improve moving forward.

So they are very nice until they take your money from you after this they don't know you. They put me to pay first week deposit £206, to cancel the property which I wanna rent it from market but they didn't cancelled nothing +£895 first month rent starting tenancy on 22/03/2022 . The application wasn't successful ,not my fault and after this today I called them back to give my money back ,so they asked me: "Are you not moving in already, in our sistem shows us that you are moved in.....😂 How we can trust in such people????

For me trying to find a new place to live was getting hard however Stacy Riccitelli never gave up she continued to fight for me to try and get somewhere to live, she made things easier for me and reassured me that we could do this. I appreciated everything she has done for me in this short time, when I move in the future the first person I'm going to think of to help is Stacy. She is absolutely amazing, treated me with kindness and respect, I needed an estate agent like this and she went above and beyond my expectations.

I chose unwisely. When looking to rent out my property in Hungerford I decided to go with Chancellor’s. It’s been a complete shambles from the start- but unfortunately I had already signed the paperwork by then. They advertise as ‘property management’. My property has been totally mismanaged from the start. And the list gets longer. Different departments dealing with different aspects of the rental- none of which seem to converse with each other. I am constantly requesting for things to be rectified with no results. If you are a potential landlord- go elsewhere.

We requested a viewing on Sunday evening and Harrison contacted us first thing on Monday to arrange a viewing for later that day. We were very pleased with how efficiently it was organised, especially as properties are tending to spend so little time on the market at the moment. We enjoyed the viewing; Harrison had a warm, friendly approach and was knowledgeable about the house, the location and the sellers' position. We appreciated the balance between being guided around the house and being allowed space to look for ourselves and discuss our thoughts. Harrison even gave us some useful suggestions when we were talking about ways that we might alter the house in the future if we were to make an offer. Thank you for providing a great service.

I recently used chancellors estate agents to move to one of there rented property’s. My dealing was with Declan Hartigan ,Who was very informed very helpful and welcoming. Very professional throughout the whole process keeping me informed with a personal touch. It's always a nice surprise when somebody remembers your name considering the amount of people they have to deal with. I am extremely pleased that my property sold once I changed to Chancellors after two lost sales through two other estate agents . I have been so impressed with Lawrence communication and negotiation with my buyer . I had a very nervous buyer and Lawrence knew just how to work with both buyer and seller. When I raised concerns over passing the sale over after the offer was in to the conveyance team he was happy to put my mind at rest and kept communication open till completion. I had responses to my emails on the same day . I would highly recommend Chancellors of Newbury and especially Lawrence who worked had to gain my sale.
