FacebookIn January this year we lost our mum, she had lived in her home for 56 years and brought up our family there so the house was very precious to all of her children, I contacted Newton Fallowell and two other estate agents to give me a quote, after meeting Oliver there was no doubt in my mind that this was the team to go with, he understood our concerns and how we felt about the house, the team got together and the house was sold within three days, we were kept in the loop every step of the way, Rick phoned me every week to let me know what was happening and if I had any concerns I only had to speak to Sarah and she sorted things out straight away, a very professional and friendly company, I would recommend Newton Fallowell to everyone. P.s. they make lovely coffee too.

The uncertainty it creates effects all aspects of life - makes it difficult to plan your social calendar, agree to work commitments & it can cause friction in your relationships.
This stress can linger for months all the while knowing all the energy & time you are putting in can quickly become undone in a heartbeat.
Newton Fallowell are a fantastic ally to have in your corner while you're in the midst of these emotions and from my experience they are happy to take on as much of the burden as possible for you.
I'd like to highlight a few individuals that stood out during the last few months during which time my wife and I were selling & buying a property.
Firstly Neil Sime, thanks for your help persuading our seller to choose us over our competition. You took a courageous decision to reverse a previous decision and we will always be forever grateful for to you for this.
Secondly, Richard Baldam for your help navigating us through the plethora of mortgage options and for giving us your time and attention to explain things carefully. I also can’t thank you enough for supporting us in our pursuit to get our ERC matter straightened out despite the advice from our solicitor which suggested we may have to pay them.
Lastly, Rick Westmore, for being an absolute rock during our lengthy sale & purchase process. The Victorian property we were selling received countless queries against it (despite being in excellent condition) you helped us navigate through countless hurdles.
A moment that stood out was our Solicitor announced that our mortgage deed wasn't witnessed correctly & needed to be re-signed hours before we were due to exchange. Without hesitation, Rick offered to act as our witness and hand deliver the revised documents to our solicitor allowing us to meet our deadline for exchange, all of this during his personal time.
This goes above and beyond the level of dedication you would expect.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience of this lettings agency as a tenant. Unprofessional and eager to take money without resolving difficulties. Poorly maintained property with severe damp issues, and excessive charges for cleaning the property on vacation. Even used the landlord's own cleaning contractors to clean the property then billed me despite the property already being cleaned thoroughly - surely a conflict of interest here. When trying to resolve issues became hostile and unhelpful. Beware and don't use them if you can help it.

I would disagree that this was a poorly maintained property with severe damp issues. Thank you for the review, I've reviewed the copious sale progression notes (it was a difficult transaction I agree, period property, conservation area etc) I just wanted to say It's very difficult to keep all parties 100% happy on every transaction (The Vendor is the client which is our primary objective, but we also take a responsibility to buyers to help where we can which I feel we did regarding the survey issues. Towards the end of the transaction both sides solicitors had a disagreement over a policy that they didn't include us in, but we did step in to find the resolution when it was brought to our attention. It was a stressful time for you and I do appreciate that, but overall I do think Rick my office manager did all he could, when he could and had he not been involved it may never of resolved itself. We learn from every review good or bad and thank you for yours
