TrustpilotDo yourself a favour and find a different estate agent
Seymour’s are the most unprofessional estate agents I have ever had to deal with. They don’t train their staff to be knowledgable on the property industry so can’t answer any of your questions on a property, and they hire young or inexperienced staff who are not trained up to do their job properly. You also never know who you are going to be dealing with when calling the office, I wish they just had one contact per sale as it would make the communication a lot better. Also know they have a toxic culture internally so I’m sure this doesn’t help!

GoogleI chose Seymours because of their reviews and I’m so glad I did. For me it’s all about service - from the start you didn’t feel like you were just another number. I was really lucky that everything went amazingly smoothly but I know that’s down to having a good agent in the first place. It’s a scary process and choosing the right agent is so important (you hear so many horror stories!). I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Seymours ...thanks David and team for everything.

GoogleWhat a breath of fresh air! Having had no response from previous agent we changed to Seymour's in hope of more activity in selling mum's house. Movement began almost instantly with a few calls and couple of viewings. Within a couple a weeks we had a solid, potential buyer. It helped having an agent brought up in village of sale and it turned out buyer also was from same area. No hic ups in agent side, typical legal Nik nacs with solicitor but on the whole couldn't fault the process, exchanged and ready to complete next week. Thoroughly recommend Seymour's to get you your buyer and satisfying result💥

GoogleWe've recently used Seymours for the sale of our old family home just outside of Dorking. The sale was very quick and David's tram were brilliant. From the very first meeting with David my husband and I knew we had made the right decision to sell through Seymours. The whole team have always been very friendly yet professional, efficient and fully cooperative with all the other involved parties. In our case the chain was quite complicated and lengthy, yet David was fantastic at communicating with all the other parties. Our buyers have commented at how helpful and knowledgeable our estate agents have been. I would have no hesitation recommending Seymours to any of my friends or family. Great service and I would definitely use them again.

Awful morals and ethics avoid at all costs! We have previously experienced awful moral practises after placing best and final bids on a property. A week later after we won the final bid on a property. Seymour’s called back to advise competing offer had since offered over our asking price! HOW is this ethical?? I
Hi Sophie, we can see how frustrating this experience must have been. To clarify our process: we use “best and final” offers to try to create a fair framework for all interested buyers and the seller. However, we are legally required to submit every offer in writing to the seller, right up until exchange of contracts (unless the seller has given us written instructions to the contrary). Ultimately, the seller makes the final decision, not us. It’s their home and their choice. That means if a higher offer is received after a final deadline, we are obligated to pass it on and the seller can choose how to proceed. We appreciate this can be disappointing, and we’re sorry if our communication didn’t make these legal obligations and the implications of final offers clear enough. We’re reviewing how we set expectations.

GoogleAfter the sad loss of my father I invited a number of the local agents to provide me with probate valuations, Seymours wear both professional and understanding of my situation and gave a very honest valuation. I felt from the out set they where there to help, assist and support me. They worked incredibly hard with a huge amount of viewings. Thank you David, Jamie and Heather. GoogleHaving just sold and bought, it is quite clear that not all estate agents are cut from the same cloth. Jamie and his team impressed us from the very beginning. Professional, helpful and supportive, nothing was too much trouble. House purchases are rarely straightforward and when ours became rather nail biting, Jamie was there every step of the way, pushing things on, being a central point for the whole chain and providing guidance and support. This level of expertise and professionalism is a rare thing and was much appreciated. GoogleSeymours have been absolutely great from the very beginning I couldn't recommended them enough. They took time to understand our family set up and therefore what would work during the selling process. Whenever I phoned the office everyone knew the details of the sale and I didn't need to wait until David was in the office to get the answers I needed. When they said they would ring back they did, I didn't have to chase them. On the approach of exchange our chain got quite complicated and stressfuland but Seymours worked extremely hard in getting us to a successful conclusion and really went above and beyond. If you want a less stressful move then I would most definitely recommend Seymours of Dorking.

Communication could have been better. There were a number of issues throughout the course of the sale which could have been handled more professionally. They did eventually get the sale over the line but it was all somewhat last minute and stressful.

GoogleWe have just moved out of our rental in dorking as we have now brought property. Wanted to thank seymours as We approached seymours beginning 2023 looking for rental being very desperate and from when we made contact with them they stayed in contact and offered viewing on property that hadn't been listed, the house was perfect location and suited us. We approached many letting agents who didn't help us and therefore if like to thank seymours again. Any problems they where easy to contact and get hold of the landlord to fix any problems. Make sure if your looking leave your details with them they will try their very best to accommodate ypu. Thanks again x

Selling your house is a daunting prospect. That said, Seymours was the first choice to guide us through the process.I met Simon who came across as friendly and really knowledgeable about the local market with many years of experience in this field. The sales guide price was pretty much as expected. The pictures were taken a few days later by Mark who made a great job of the brochure. The whole team at the office were on board with the marketing of the house and, to my surprise, 7 visits were arranged within the first full week. The communication from the office was amazing. Emails arrived detailing every visit booked and there were regular calls with feedback and updates from the office. Overall a great service was provided by the whole team. The house was under offer in no time. Again, the background work carried out at the office, was extremely thorough and they constantly updated us on the situation.Whilst the wait for completion goes on, the whole team could not have done more to help with the process of selling a house.With the service received so far, it's no wonder they are the leading agents in the area by far
