I went to get a mortgage in principle. After discussing and giving all my intimation, I didn’t hear anything from the company. I kept sending emails, and phone calls to the office multiple times. Every time I was told that someone would get back to me but nobody never got back. Incredible how such a company can even exist with such employees.

Worst estate agent in Kings heath Birmingham Area.Letting Branch Manager Parminder Mahay is very rude, never reply to emails and pick up the calls, always shouting on phone, Very poor customer service and they don't care about you. Don't be fooled by the brand name. Avoid doing business with them if you want peace of mind. People, be aware of this estate agent. Never use this estate agent.

Ghosting I believe has happened rental property agent never replied back to me for ages then say not accepting my application affordability was there, taken all my time to gather all they needed and if this was a problem could have ask for a guarantor i have asked for all my documents to be removed and be deleted in my opinion appalling please be aware .

Just watched a investigation by panorama on connells estate agents which was very concerning, highlighting the company dishonesty. I went to connells in kingswood Bristol to let out a property. The letting agent seem to know what he was doing. Definitely had the talk but unfortunately did not have the walk. When he posted the property on rightmove website. The photographs of the property were horrendous!!! The photos were so blurry and poor they looked like a 10 year old had taken them. No video as promised. As soon as I seen them, I demand they be taken down before futher damage was done. I was assured this would corrected. When chasing them up the next day I discovered they had replaced the photographs with ones I had taken myself and doing up the property. They failed at the most basic and crucial part of advertising the property. I would advoid this company and also watch the tv investigation on connells. Advoid at all cost unless your happy to be taken for a ride.

I dealt with Tracey and Raife in teh Ashford Park Farm branch, for the property I just purchased. Tracey was exceptional, updating me every step of the way oh the progress; what was needed my side for my solicitors etc. Which was extremely helpful given that I am a first time buyer. And Raife was very extremely helpful in helping me negotiate with the sellers and both of them were reassuring during the whole process.

GoogleWords of caution for buyers through this branch, be aware as a buyer you are guaranteed to work with the least trusted sales team, and your time and money are likely to be wasted. Looking at previous reviews we put lots of faith this to manage our purchase a property in King Street waiting what seemed like a straightforward chain with seller finding a place to move. Seller kept us waiting for 6 months until our mortgage offer have expired wasting our time and money. It was discovered later this property seem to had failed to complete chains before due to seller changing mind and delaying the process indefinitely for unknown reasons. The agent didn't mention chain history when viewing the property and just left us to try our luck with the rogue seller using our time and money. The agent irresponsibly did lots of convincing for the buyer to wait the chain to collapse after 6 months wasting buyer's money and time , and would simply relist the same property again without even a notification to the existing buyer (Is there a need to mention the word unprofessional here?). There is no laws forcing seller nor the agent to guarantee the completion of a sale, however if there is a score of morality and trust I would give this branch 0 points. I would expect any decent agent to at least: * Inform buyers of sale history in case there were any issues or chain delays from seller. * Try to get sale done, and if seller is not genuine based on their previous experiences let buyers know as soon as possible. * If sale is failing, let existing buyers know before relisting. * A decent agent should not relist a property for a deceitful seller which consistently failed to meet their promises to complete a straightforward chain, unless you don't care about buyers running away from this branch again.

GoogleWe have recently bought our property, sold by Brown and Merry Stony Stratford. Our first viewing of the property was from Alex and right from the start he impressed us hugely. No ‘Estate Agent’ arrogance or salesman nonsense, just a really nice guy who was helpful, informative and knowledgable on the property. We couldn’t have asked for a better first viewing. Further down the process I dealt more with Jake who couldn’t have been more helpful every step of the way. He answered every question I had and made it possible for us to communicate with the vendors with ease. He has even made it possible for us to ask questions since moving in which is way above and beyond. This is the second time we have bought a property but our experience with Brown and Merry Stony Stratford was brilliant from start to finish. Could not recommend higher. Thanks guys. Mark Rickman

GoogleAbsolutely amazing. Having become disappointed with our local agent, we decided to list with Brown and Merry. What a difference, we were after a quick sale and couldn't have hoped for more! Sarah was professional and efficient, and gave excellent advice (including increasing the offer price on the property, which had been decreased by our previous agent to try to, unsuccessfully, drive interest). Professional photos were booked quickly with our property reappearing on Rightmove just in time for the January peak. The team were proactive finding potential buyers and within a week we had multiple viewings in the diary. And one of them turned into an offer at asking price with a cash buyer - perfect. The team continue to keep their finger on the pulse, checking in and supporting progress.

I have been looking to let a property as a tenant and Brown and Merry - especially Alex - have been amazing with trying to help me find what I am looking for. Alex is knowledgeable, friendly, warm, responsive and just excellent at her job. I felt listened to and like she was genuinely trying to help me make the right decision to find a property that would suit me for the long term. We are absolutely disgusted with the way this situation has been handled. We placed a deposit on a park home in good faith, fully expecting that we would be kept informed of any deadlines or time scales relating to the sale. The park manager had apparently relayed a time frame to the estate agent, yet this crucial information was never passed on to us.
