Avoid like a plaque

The Property management company in Manchester is an absolute disgrace and very unprofessional.I have serious issues with my apartment for the last 4 weeks and nothing has been done I’ve sent over 10 emails to the property manager and getting fobbed off by Bridgfords and the Landlord That’s the trouble with Landlords good enough to take my money but when it comes to maintaining issue they simply ignore you.I’ve now forwarded all my emails to a property ombudsman

Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.

Landlords be warned, appalling service. Bridgfords have never been particularly brilliant but my recent experience takes the biscuit. My tenants gave notice on 15/4 and I received an automatic email saying that someone would contact me to discuss re-let. I heard nothing until 20/5 when I was contacted to be told that the property had been on the market and had received no interest. I checked rightmove and it had only been listed that day (!!), but for £150-200 more than market rent (no one had checked the price with me first). I instructed them to reduce the price which then didn’t happen for a further week and only after further chasing. Rang a number of times to speak to the lettings manager but he was never free and didn’t return my calls. By 10/6 I’d still heard nothing and not been notified of any viewings so instructed a new agent. When I rang to arrange key collection I was told that there had been enquiries but they ‘hadn’t got round to getting back to anyone’ - very reassuring when I’m paying the mortgage out of pocket and my flat is sitting empty! No apology when I collected the keys, just lots of people wafting around the office seemingly doing nothing. New agent came round within 24 hours of my call, photographed the property, put it on rightmove and then had to suspend the listing within 5 hours due to the number of enquiries. 6 viewings the next day and I have a tenant. Unbelievable.
