GoogleThe flat was not decorated or cleaned prior to check in on the 24th July as per your lettings agreement. This was however, rectified after I called Romans after check in on the 24th & asked for the work to be completed as per the agreement. The work was carried out & our new paper work was dated for the 29th July, once the work had been completed, a gesture of £150.00 has been refunded back to us. However, we had had issues with the Oven - the dial indications have been scrubbed off & no manual left behind. When asked for support with this, we was told to google the make & model, even this has been worn away! Took us 3 days of trial and error to work this out. Also no manuals left behind for the Fiber box and I have had to google it for myself.
Hi Emma, thanks for taking the time to leave us your honest feedback. We understand that moving can be a difficult and stressful time for those involved, we always want attempt to offer as much assistance and support to help try and make this process as straightforward as possible but really regret that we haven’t been able to do this for you on this occasion. Sadly there was a breakdown in communication meaning the pre-let works which were initially agreed weren’t conducted for your scheduled move in date, we realise how disappointing this would have been for you as you were expecting the works to have been undertaken; as you’ve mentioned in your review after you voiced your concerns we were able to get these works done by agreeing with you for your move to be pushed back slightly and a gesture of goodwill was made to you. We recognise that the issues with the oven and fibre box were inconvenient for you and had probably caused some frustration. It can be noted that it is the responsibility of the landlord to ensure that a property file is available at the property at the beginning of a tenancy which should include user instruction manuals for appliances or other information required to enable tenants to successfully operate items within the property. Due to the number of properties we manage we aren’t always aware of how to work each appliance and if there are no manuals we do suggest that tenants if able to supply the make and model which allows us to locate these online and provide copies, unfortunately as the name of the make and model had worn off the oven we couldn’t offer too much assistance here but are pleased to read that you’ve now been able to get this working. We recognise the importance of all reviews, your comments will be brought to the attention of the Regional Letting Director for the branch so we can evaluate our service and where necessary make changes moving forward. We're sorry that the service you've received hasn't been up to the high standards expected of us and we’d like to offer our apologies for the disappointment caused throughout your experience. GoogleMy partner and I have just rented our first home together. Matt T in lettings was very helpful in finding us places to look at. He did not put any pressure on us to rent a home until we were happy. Matt was on hand to answer any of our questions and made the move seamless. GoogleSo far I am disappointed in the service I have received. I am a landlord abroad and was reassured that on taking out your fully managed service I would have nothing to worry about and would be kept informed of progress, questions, etc. throughout. This has not been the case and I have had to constantly chase up matters myself, often with no response for days and not even a courtesy call / email to let me know Romans are dealing with the matter - I am in fact awaiting a response to an email I sent on Tues 5th Nov.

GoogleI was searching flat for my family, as already 3 properties slipped from my hand & i was bit worried, It was a last minute decision to consider Romans and i am really happy i did! From the beginning to the end their communication, pro activity and professionalism has been top notch. Suleiman assisted and helped me in all the best way as he can. GoogleWe have just secured the tenancy on our first rented property together through Romans. We had the pleasure of going through this unknown to us process with Graham from the Maidenhead branch. Graham maintained excellent communication with us throughout and was a helpful guide when we experienced a small hick up along the way. The team always met us with a smile and were there to help us find the right property at the right time without pushing us. GoogleI got charlie to do my 3 viewings. I am very early in my search of maidenhead and he was exceptionally knowledgable on the area, knowing about times to local transport links, schools, town centre. His architecture degree proved useful in his ability to see how places and spaces in property could possibly be extended. He was very easy to talk to, patient, made me comfortable which is not always the case with estate agents looking to make a quick sale. Plus he had a sense of humour which established a rapport and these are people you can trust.

GoogleI don't usually write reviews but wanted to really express my gratitude to Charlie Walker for making my buying process so easy and from all the viewings I had with multiple agencies he was the best agent by far. He recommended a mortgage advisor to me (Himmet) who's also been a legend and has put up with my numerous calls and ridiculous questions! Spending this sort of money on a property is stressful at the best of times but Charlie has somehow made it stress free and really enjoyable. I thought I was breaking the mould here and felt proud to write a positive review on his services and ive just seen everyone else has done the bloody same!! Great genuine guy who's a pleasure to deal with and id highly recommend his services.
