Had a great experience when we moved two years Ago. Sadly wasn’t the same this time around, aside from under experienced staff who harass you when they need something done but tell you they’re too busy to respond to emails when you chase, roger platt have royally screwed us up by changing the service providers for gas and electricity at our new property. We didn’t realize but there is a clause they sneak into their contracts that gives Spark Energy consent to take over the services. Over 2 months since we moved and I’m still battling to sort things out, frustratingly I can’t even raise an issue with RP as the clause is in the contract which I signed!

Rude, patronising and manipulative. Do not deal with them / William. I was looking to purchase a house through Roger Platt in Maidenhead and unfortunately had the misfortune of dealing with William as my point of contact. Rude, patronising and manipulative. The 3 words i'd use to describe him. 'I'm not saying you're naive, but this is your first house..' was my personal favourite from him. He would interrupt me over the phone, lie on behalf of the seller and was trying all the tricks in the book to make a quick sell. The house never went through in the end, we pulled out. Waste of time and money. I would STRONGLY recommend to avoid this estate agents, however if that's not possible - avoid dealing with William.

Roger Platt are probably the best known agents in Maidenhead so you should consider listing your property with them. They were willing to refund my Purple Bricks fees so I was able to dual list the property with two agents for the price of one. Their knowledge of the local market and good levels of service are worthy of recommendation. Not sure how proactive they are at getting your property in front of potential buyers or chasing viewers for feedback / offers, I did feel I had to chase for feedback otherwise I'd hear nothing on occasion.

Made a firm offer of asking price, Roger Platts then ignored my calls also sent 2 emails connfirming my offer of asking price which were also ignored, absolutely unbelievable to be treated this way.. A week later they tried to contact me, saying the seller had been hard to reach, what a joke.

The viewing was very different from what the advert promised. The flat was in a block that was in extremely poor condition. When I called to give feedback, the lady on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. She said "well you booked the viewing" "of course we won't put the real condition of the outside on the advert, we are trying to sell it," Obnoxious staff members is something the owner of this company should look into.
