The person who really adds value to Roger Platt sales team is Philippa. I have just completed on the sale of a buy to let rental flat. The process has been very difficult and drawn out due to the nature of leasehold property and other issues out of anyone's control. However, Philippa has really made a difference. She is always patient, responsive, persistent, thorough and makes time to chase up other parties and tasks. More importantly her updates give reassurance that all is being done that can be. I have used other estate agents to sell leasehold property. They did not come close to the efficiency and reassurance that I got from Roger Platt and particularly Philippa.

If you’re looking for a flat in Maidenhead, I highly recommend Roger Platt. I moved from London and bought a new-build flat through them, and despite a year-long delay from the developers, the team made the whole process much easier. Everyone I dealt with from day one stayed with the company, and they were always friendly, responsive, and happy to arrange visits whenever I needed. They kept me updated throughout and were incredibly helpful even after I moved in, quickly organising local engineers and helping chase the developers to fix urgent issues. I’m very grateful for their support and would definitely choose this agency again. Thank you to Leah and Philippa, who supported me throughout the year, to Shauna for arranging repairs after I moved, and to Anthony for the warm welcome on my first day.

This review is for the mortgage advice services at Roger Platt, specifically Jacqui. I first used Jacqui for my very first mortgage around 13, 14 years ago, and I’ve come back to her for every remortgage since. I’m now using her again for a new house move and honestly, I wouldn’t go to anyone else. She’s always been incredibly professional, knowledgeable and patient. She takes the stress out of the whole process, explains things clearly and is always happy to answer questions. She’s quick, efficient and I’ve never had a single issue with anything she’s handled for me. If you want someone reliable, helpful and genuinely great at what they do, I can’t recommend Jacqui highly enough.

Flat 8 Shelley House, SL6 1SF. I rented a property through this agency and unfortunately had a very difficult experience with both the landlord and the management during the tenancy. One of the biggest issues was a leak in the property that took around three months to resolve. During that time it caused visible damage, which was still present by the end of the tenancy. The handling of the issue felt slow and poorly managed, and it was frustrating having to live with the problem for such a long period. At the end of the tenancy there were also significant deductions proposed from my deposit for cleaning and damage. I disputed these through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, and the independent adjudicator rejected most of the landlord’s claims and reduced the deductions substantially. While I’m glad the deposit protection process exists, it was stressful and time-consuming (4months!!!!) to go through a formal dispute. Overall I found the landlord difficult to deal with and the experience much more challenging than it needed to be. Future tenants should make sure they document everything carefully and follow up on maintenance issues in writing.
