GoogleI recently instructed Sarah Mains Estate Agents to sell my fathers house, I did my research and found Sarah Mains to meet my needs. The photographs and video of the house were great and I found the whole process very easy, all of the staff were very professional and kept me informed every step of the way. GoogleSarah Mains is the most professional letting agency out there, As a tenant from start to finish I have had great support from the agency on each and every thing. They always have a video of the property there are letting which makes it super easy to understand the property. The maintainence is top-notch.

GoogleBuying a property involves quite a bit of stress while looking around for the property and a lot of communication between people involved in the process once the property is finalised for purchase. Members of Staff at Sarah Mains are very efficient in what they do. I am happy that I went to them. I would especially mention Donna Bell, Sales Progression Department who greatly helped me for the last 7 months as I navigated through the process of buying my home. I can't thank her enough.

GoogleOverall a very disappointing experience. Fantastic sales pitch at the start of the process which in reality didn’t materialise and probably the worst sales progression experience I’ve ever had having bought and sold a number of houses over the years and four in the past couple of months. I received more information and updates on the progress of my sale with Sarah Mains from another estate agent. At no point did I feel like the client, in fact I’m not actually sure what I paid for from Sarah Mains! Despite complaining the service levels continued to be way below what I would have expected for the fee I paid. An offer to reduce the total fee as an apology and in acceptance of how poor Sarah Mains had been throughout, equated to 2% off the amount we owed and just added insult to injury. Cleary the only motivation Sarah Mains have had throughout was to take their money, offer as little service as possible and then run off with the cash. On the experience I’ve had I would not recommend Sarah Mains and won’t use them again in the future.
I am aware of your concerns regarding the sales progression process. Sales progression is just one element of the service we provide to our customers. Sarah Mains Residential introduced a buyer to your property who made an offer that was acceptable to you. The draft contracts were not sent to your buyer's solicitor until 30 January and the sale completed just over 9 weeks later. A timescale that is below the national average. Our records show that we were monitoring and facilitating the progress of the sale, however we acknowledged to both you and your partner that there were times, during the progression of the sale, when our contact with you was not as it should have been. We have apologised to you both for this and, as you say, a reduction was made to the fee which your partner was happy to accept as a resolution to the complaint. This was not an acceptance of how poor Sarah Mains had been throughout at all. Sarah Mains

GoogleI would highly recommend Sarah Mains to any landlord looking for a letting agency. My situation is a bit unusual, but from the beginning Elliot Scott had a "can do" attitude and made everything very simple. Scott Thomas the valuer was very helpful and Miranda Stephenson as Tenancy Manager on day one is showing her worth - getting a plumber to quote for a new boiler as the old one is making alarming noises and not good for the tenants who took possession today. Thanks Sarah Mains!

GoogleSarah Mains might be great if you are a landlord or selling your property but if you are a renter, avoid! It's no surprise that all the positive reviews are from sellers or landlords and the negative ones are from renter's. They told us that our landlord was lovely and attentive and then for the next five years we proceeded to live in a propertly full of rising damp (which their own property inspector also said it was rising damp but that the landlord actively ignored the issue). They will never advocate for you if you need anything fixed and they have actively left repairs that needed doing for years by simply saying they don't "own" the property and will allow the landlord to do whatever they want - even when they send unqualified men to the property or the landlord himself turns up unannounced. It was only when we got the council involved that they actually did their jobs. Theyll take deposit off you for not professionally cleaning decades old blinds and carpets that are decades old. And they'll do the rent up during covid and the cost of living crisis just for good measure. Devoid of any morals for renters.

GoogleSarah Mains were fantastic from start to finish! We found our dream house in a difficult position; one house sold (with SM and one still to sell also with SM). I was frantically trying to sell my house and ensure our dream house didn’t get away and SM were supportive of every aspect of the process, my multiple request and questions and all my anxiousness on top of that. Highly recommend! They get the job done and I’m now in my dream home!

GoogleI recently had to rent a property through Sarah Mains and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. As I wasn’t able to physically visit the site, they provided digital walkthroughs which were incredibly helpful and really put my mind at ease. Elliot, who supported me throughout the process, was absolutely fantastic, super accommodating, clear, and always happy to help. One thing I truly valued was how prompt the communication was. Unlike other agencies that took days to respond, Sarah Mains always replied swiftly and professionally. If I ever had to go through this process again, I’d 100% use their services and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to rent. Brilliant customer service from start to finish.
